Very delighted to stumble upon Allison Wonderland. I feel like they just don't make toy stores like this anymore. Independently owned, and packed with so many great toys, activities, books, and more. We have a kiddo of our own, along with nieces and nephews we were shopping for, and we found something for everyone! I most loved the sustainable wooden toy selection, and all of the great puzzles/building-type options. If you can skip the fast-shopping online from places like Amazon or Target, be sure to! This is my absolute favorite thrift store in all of Rockford area. It's very small, and so they…read morekeep a really tightly curated collection which means that you're browsing all good stuff and no crap. The prices are always really reasonable, and regular sales mean you're often getting a deal on that. The woman who runs the store is just so sweet and so friendly, and even though there's usually some kind of Jesus radio playing in the background and I get the impression that she's really religious, she's the nice kind of Christian. I've been to other Christian thrift stores that feel uncomfortable, judgmental, and pushy but this place is just really professional and fun.
