Just had to pop on a quick review for this lovely, local toy store! We recently visited Lake Geneva for the weekend and did some holiday shopping while in town. Very delighted to stumble upon Allison Wonderland. I feel like they just don't make toy stores like this anymore. Independently owned, and packed with so many great toys, activities, books, and more. We have a kiddo of our own, along with nieces and nephews we were shopping for, and we found something for everyone! I most loved the sustainable wooden toy selection, and all of the great puzzles/building-type options. If you can skip the fast-shopping online from places like Amazon or Target, be sure to! This small shop could of course use the support, but they also genuinely have it all. Oh and the man working was very sweet and passionate about the store - love that! read more

This is a great independent toy store! The owner is lovely and helpful. They have good stuffed animals, good games, and a good selection of playmobile (those are the areas we looked at). This was the highlight of a rainy day out in Lake Geneva for my 6 year old kid. read more

The store is clean and well organized and there are so many options to select from. I love the assortment of fidget toys near the front of the store. This is a remarkable family owned toy store. I grew up visiting it yearly on my annual summer family trip to Lake Geneva and now enjoy bringing my own daughter there. They keep up with the trends in toys and art projects and have very fair prices. The service is so friendly and the owner takes such pride in continuing the business his own parents started so many years ago. Love supporting this small locally owned business. There's a vast selection of toys for all ages as well as tons of independent toy companies that you can't find at the big box stores! The owner is so friendly and helpful! Cute toy store along Main Street. We were greeted immediately as we walked into the store. The cashier/salesperson had the right personality to be working in a toy/kids store. She was bubbly and cheery, and enthusiastically showed us some of their new inventory. They had a little bit of everything for a variety of ages. My kids wanted to stay there forever. Cute store with great ideas for kids. We wondered in here on a mission to replace "bunny", our daughters beloved stuffed animal that we left at home. How could we, I know! This store had the brand (unfortunately not the color, but can we really be that picky). Guaranteed to find a gift or something to surprise a little one. Yes, prices are not as cheap as online, however online you don't have someone that has hand picked some of the best toys and kids things. I am a sucker for toy stores. Secretly I think that I am indulging my own secret wants. I'm a Godawful parent. I never go anywhere without returning with some sort of treat for my son. It's no wonder that after greeting me, he always asks if I have something for him. This store is super cute. Tons of great learning toys, as well as a great assortment of classic toys, Playmobil, etc. I purchased a Melissa & Doug puzzle set and a wind up Whale toy. Cheap! Cheap! Very nice salesperson. Cute store and toys but not enforcing mask rule. There was a mask mandate sign on the door. Teen working up front had a mask off and was eating lunch. Licking her fingers. The other two customers had no masks and staff said nothing so we left. You lost a lot of business and we'll never return. Disappointing. read more

Bought a bunch of goodies for my niece for Christmas this morning from here. I only planned on getting one thing but ended up buying quite a bit! They have so many neat things here! Wide variety of toys for all ages, clean store, and a friendly staff (thanks, Chris!) that is able to help you find the perfect gift for the child in your life. I noticed that there are some one star reviews on here from about 4 years ago and I believe they were mostly complaints about a woman making people leave the store before they closed. I know of the woman they are speaking of and she is no longer employed there. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed ;) read more

Stopped there on a Tuesday and didn't realize they were about to close. She refused to let us in even though it wasn't quite 5 (she told us it was on her watch) and then kicked everyone else out of the store. Another woman outside wanted to ask her a quick question and she refused listen. She just closed the door on all of us. read more

Great toy store - please shop here, I always fear it's not going to be in Lake Geneva when I visit family. Super wonderful selection of games (German games, wooden games, classic games...great games!). This toy store is a hidden gem. If you are looking for a unique, well made gift this is the place to go. The prices are not as low as the big box stores but I thought they were reasonable and I am always willing to pay a few extra dollars to support a small business. They sell a lot of toys that you will have trouble finding at other stores but also carry some of the more popular lines. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We spend summers in LG so my daughter loves regular trips to this toy store. Usually the owner is there and he is fantastic. I don't mind paying a little extra to support small businesses especially when they have great customer service! We went in today and have to mention there was an older lady working there. She was very crabby, to the point of being rude. My husband had been in the store with me and even before I mentioned it to him he brought up what a "battle axe" that lady was. I understand the owners need days off sometime, but they may want to look for more friendly employees. read more
