We had our son's birthday party at The 5 in Encino, and it was truly the best birthday party ever! From the start, Darin was incredibly helpful and easy to work with -- responsive, organized, and made everything so simple. He even let us come early to set up, which took all the stress out of the day and allowed us to get everything just right before guests arrived. We used the on-site food truck, which was amazing -- delicious food, fast service, and a total hit with both kids and adults. The baseball setup itself couldn't be better. We had four awesome coaches who kept the kids totally engaged the whole time -- fun drills, games, and lots of energy. They struck the perfect balance between keeping it organized and letting the kids have a blast. Every parent commented on how great the venue was, and our son said it was his favorite party ever. Love this! I'm coaching out of Lake Lindero was the head pro in the area for 15 years woodley, encino, etc... and live right down the street. There's some ex major-league baseball players kids that are so into baseball out in the 805 area and locally I coach. But sometimes I bring them out here to work in my indoor studio office with my Physio who has his masters in kinesiology. we also have a junior kids educational program for Mindset and spoort psychology we're doing together and I do indoor golf however. First move was baseball and truly encourage my elite players to combine both until they're ready to make a decision sophmore junior year. This place is great. My son just got brand new catchers gear and wanted to break it in so we headed over to the five. We were very lucky to have Eric working there. He was a former catcher himself and taught my 10 year old some great training techniques and spent some quality time with him. Eric was super nice and clearly knowledgeable and passionate about helping kids! The 5 is lucky to have him. Hope this review/feedback gets shared with him. The 5 is an amazing baseball and softball facility, filled with great coaches who are inspiring, kind, and incredibly talented. The staff are creating an amazing environment to build confidence and hone skill across all ages and levels. We discovered the 5 via Summer Camp in Summer 2022 and have been regularly visiting ever since taking advantage of private lessons, Workout Wednesday, and camps. My son adores and respects the coaches and lights up when we arrive at The 5. He has dramatically stepped changed his skills and heart for the game. The coaches are great at helping players not only master the fundamentals but also raise the bar with their state of the art equipment (e.g., simulators, pitching machines, and more). My two boys have been members of The 5 pretty much since it opened. They offer monthly memberships or walk in rentals. The staff is always super nice and helpful, and the facilities are state of the art and top notch. They have a members only app that is easy to navigate and use for making reservations for the batting cages, HitTrax, bullpen and turf area. There is also a picnic area w/ seating and vending machines (the kids love that!) and a workout/gym area and plenty of seating. They also have restrooms and a retail store inside the trailer. They offer cages for coach or parent pitch, machine pitch and of course HitTrax. The HitTrax batting cages have machine pitching with video screens that allow kids to customize their experience by selecting their favorite MLB park, see their exit velocity, whether they got a hit or an out, batting average and much more. We have had team practices there and private pitching and batting lessons as well. I've seen birthday parties and camps there, too. It's practically our home away from home! So happy a facility like this opened up in Encino. read more

The Five is an outstanding baseball facility. Not only do they have several cages to hit but they also have turf for fielding practice, mounds for pitching and even weight equipment. It is the best baseball facility in the San Fernando Valley! Staff are always available to help with equipment and to answer questions. For younger players, there is plenty of space for parents and younger siblings to hang out. This isn't your coin pay cages with yellow balls that damage bats either. They use real baseballs and you rent the cage by 30 min increments which gives you more reps and time to improve your game. read more

Love,love, love The 5!!!! Our first experience at the facility was for a friend's birthday party last summer.It was very well run and all the kids had a great time! We heard they were having a winter baseball camp, so we quickly signed our son up after having the great birthday experience. Let me say, it did not disappoint. My son came home super happy every day and couldn't wait to return each day. He learned a lot if great baseball skills to help improve his game and had lots of fun while doing it. The coaches are fantastic and do a great job at helping with baseball skills and keeping them engaged in the activities. I did not hesitate when they opened summer camp up and enrolled my son. Incredible facility and staff. We bring our kids to hit in the cages all the time. The machines throw real baseballs and you can change 100 different pitching options. The Hittrax is a huge favorite with the kids. The screen shows them where their hit would have gone and the kids can pick the major league stadium. Pitching mounds and fielding area is a great bonus. We've seen teams that meet their weekly for BP. The 5 also has private coaches and camps that are all fantastic. read more
