The A Team Garage Door Co. did a great job today replacing 2 springs (2x225). They were quick to respond, and schedule an appointment. They told me exactly how much they would charge before they came out and changed exactly that. The springs came with a 3 year warranty such that if they break within 3 years, they will be replaced free of charge including parts and labor, though they expect the springs will likely last 8 - 10 years. I asked many for quotes. The A Team, was the best price for this warranty, though some charged less with less of a warranty and some charged more for more of a warranty. About a month ago my garage door got stuck and burned out the motor. I looked on yelp for garage door repairman and found a few listings. I had two companies come out including The A Team. Billy and his son Andrew were on a job site but they were able to pass by as a last stop on their way home. Billy and Andrew were both very professional, courteous and this goes without saying, knowledgeable! They gave us all sorts of different options to include replacing the door all together with a newer style considering our old door was 20+ years old. There was no up sell or pressure to buy! We decided to replace the door with a spanking new insulated one and also a top of the line motor with all the bells and whistles (battery backup, wifi, keypad). Billy gave us an amazing deal! Hands down beat Lowes and Home Depot by 50% off their quote. We put in our order and about 2 weeks later Billy set up the install date. Keep in mind the 2 weeks was the order time for the manufacturer to make the door with all the options we had chosen (window style, glass style) BIlly was on time and ready to work on install day. Between himself and his helper, they had the install done in about 5 hours. Our situation was not an average garage door install, he had to make the opening wider by cutting the old trim off, trimming cement on the base, and even notching the header. The new setup is amazingly clean! you can definitely tell that he knows what hes doing and take the time to make it look great, as if hes doing this for his own house! Bottom line: The A team garage doors is true to its name, they went above and beyond with this job and the wife and myself are super pleased with the results.
