I called this place given its great reviews and a mailer af I saw. I let the owner know what happened, and he had just fixed my neighbors garage converting his Wayne dalton system to a torsion system. Apparently the Wayne dalton system doesn't last long, you get what you pay for and builders love to use that system because it's cheap. Eric said he could either replace my current system for less, or convert the system to a more reliable one. Everything I read online matched what Eric said. Eric came over to my house to diagnose an issue I was having with my really old door. He told me it kept failing when closing because the motor in the opener was just old and failing. He quickly realized it was not the case the herrings on the rollers went bad. We had replaced our original garage door of 30 years with what we thought was a top of the line garage door (as it was advertised) from Lowes.
