I called this place given its great reviews and a mailer af I saw. I let the owner know what happened, and he had just fixed my neighbors garage converting his Wayne dalton system to a torsion system. Apparently the Wayne dalton system doesn't last long, you get what you pay for and builders love to use that system because it's cheap. Eric said he could either replace my current system for less, or convert the system to a more reliable one. Everything I read online matched what Eric said. He didn't have availability until the next day, 11am but I let him know to please call if something opens up. He called saying he could arrive an hour early which was fine by me. Eric came over to my house to diagnose an issue I was having with my really old door. He told me it kept failing when closing because the motor in the opener was just old and failing. When I realized I could use my home warranty to hopefully replace the opener, he graciously understood and said he would do the same thing if it were him. Well the home warranty company sent a scam artist who replaced my opener, did a shoddy job, and ended up charging me what Eric was going to but for a worse opener. One of my two coil springs broke, and before I realized it, I burned out my motor (it was 26 years old. Oh, well.) I called Eric, because he has nothing but 5-star reviews. He quickly realized it was not the case the herrings on the rollers went bad. One of them was no longer working and we thought it might make sense to just replace them both at the same time.
