My family and I hosted my kiddo's birthday here today. Isaac was great to work with. He and his staff were attentive and easy to communicate with. The space was set up nicely and with decorations too. They moved quickly to ensure we were able to enjoy the party and not worry about managing food or clean-up. The party carried on seamlessly. The facility is clean and provided plenty of seating for the adults. All the children kept busy in various play areas. We had children ranging from eight months to nine years old. Terrible experience! my daughter has severe sensory issues. I tried to get her services with an OT in this facility and they turned me away for no reason. I begged to get any time slot at any day because she really needs it and has been waiting for months. The owner didn't want to take my case just in case there is traffic and I may not make it in time. Horrible. read more

We love this place as a play-space. It's so clean. My daughter and her friends loved the rock climbing walls, the zip line, the swings, and the selection of toys. I felt completely comfortable letting her go on all the equipment. This place is also amazing for birthdays. You get to rent the whole play-area, and you don't have to worry about packages that include over-priced pizza, and cake. You can order your own catering, which meant that we ordered food my guests actually wanted to eat. You aren't shuffled from room to room, either. You can eat, and let kids go back to playing. The package included a party host, who helped serve, stayed with the kids on the "jumping platform" area, and decorated to make their party room special. My 4 year old pronounced this the best birthday party ever! read more

Celebrated my son's 3rd birthday at Ability Center this past Sunday. It was our first formal kids party and we didn't know what to expect. We came early to find the gym space clean and perfectly set up, the party room was beautifully decorated and the owner proceeded to ask as multiple times if there was anything else we needed. Ability center is a wonderful refuge for open play hours. It's a clean and beautiful facility and most of all it's not overrun with kids. Usually these types of places give me anxiety because there are too many kids and not enough supervision, resulting in chaos and unsanitary conditions. Food is not allowed on the play floor and all kids/adults have to wear socks. Usually the hours are until 6:30 on weekdays (Except Friday/Saturday) and occasionally they're even open on Sundays. I know there is a "mommy and me" class, but I have never been able to attend due to working full time. I like the fact that my daughter (22m) can play and enjoy herself without disruption. Quite a wonderful oasis in the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn. A really good facility with friendly staff! read more

Visited for the first time today for open play with my 9-month-old and a friend and her 20-month-old. Both children had a ball and the other parents were friendly and courteous, as were the staff members that we met. The gym was clean, bright, and attractive, and all the kids seemed to be having a good time. Will definitely return. read more

We have been coming here for about 2 years now and love it. In that time we have experienced all that they have to offer. The open play has so much for little ones to do, from the two-story castle, ball pit, slides and zip line, to the assortment of toys and tunnels, etc. So many ways to get out their energy in a safe, always clean, sensory environment. They also have Mommy & Me classes with Mrs. DD, who engages the children with toys, songs, arts & crafts and story time. My son loves her and her class, always asking to go back to see her, and I will now be bringing my daughter. My son started OT & PT a few months ago and the therapists are wonderful. Patient and loving towards the children, and they keep the parents up to date and informed. My son is progressing while having fun, who could ask for more! Ability Playspace also offers birthday parties. We had my daughter's first birthday here a few weeks ago and it was wonderful. Mrs. DD sets up and runs the party. She took care of everything, I didn't have to worry about a thing. The kids had a blast, ranging from one to 8 years old. Something for all of them to do. I had friends and family from Long Island who couldn't stop saying how lucky we are to have a great place like this so close to our house, and I agree! read more

Going through the process of having your child being diagnosed with an issue that requires therapy is a daunting experience for any parent. With so many unknowns I felt like I was bumped here, there, everywhere. When I first drove up to the Ability Center, I felt a bit more at ease bc outside was designed like a green castle, my son's favorite color, which in turn, made HIM feel more at ease. The staff was INCREDIBLE at helping me navigate the process of therapy, schedules and the like, putting me even more at ease. His therapists were great, and updated me about him directly after each session, which I loved.... no guessing about his progress. Eventually, going to therapy at the "AC" became a welcomed part of our weekly routine. During the time that my son attended the AC, I gave birth to our second son. When he started walking, I would sometimes bring him to the AC's adjunct play area. Literally a play area! Therapy sessions on the left side of the building for kids needing therapy, and a play area on the right side of the building for little ones to play, each with their own separate entrances! (I'm thinking there was a mom behind that design!) I believe they have mommy and me classes on that play side too. As if that wasn't good enough, that play area is SO CLEAN!!!!!! I don't want to put down other play areas or therapy areas but listen, this place is SUPER clean. There's even a little basket that they keep for yucky or dirty toys needing to be cleaned! I could write a novel about this place but this is already too long. Maybe because this place has been a part of our lives the last couple years, I feel a sentimental attachment to it but I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone, for therapy, or for your little one to have a baby/toddler friendly place to play. The prices are perfect for an hour of playtime and the bargain of the play pass makes it a super deal. This place is perfect for a birthday party for 1-5 years old! We had our 3-year-old's party here and could not be happier. The price is a lot better than any of the surrounding options and you actually get more here. The only things they don't include are refreshments and planned activities. I actually like that because in other places the food brings up the price by much more than what the food is actually worth as do the activities. After having had a very unpleasant experience elsewhere, I came in to check out this place ahead of time. It's actually roomy but most importantly, it's very well thought out. You have your rock climbing, your ball pit, your house with a workshop and a kitchen :) There are monkey bars, a small trampoline, a slide, a mini zip-line, lots of padded mats, gymnastics tumblers and tunnels, several different spots to build with blocks and much more. The bathroom has a seat for a child and a step stool for them to wash their hands. Everything is extremely clean and our party assistant was very helpful with the food - set up, serve and clean up. We felt well taken care of and did not have to worry about anything. Would recommend this place to anyone. read more

My daughter Tianna is getting services at Ability Center for three years. All teachers are professional and helped my daughter to achieve great results during speach, OT and PT classes. Beautiful, clean, well maintained and great quality toys. The staff and owner are very friendly and my kids had a blast (3-year-old and 1-year-old). My 3-year-old keeps asking to go back! The best part is that the owner is always there and really cares about the place and kids/customers. If you have little ones you should come by and check it out you will not be disappointed. I've been coming here with my two-year-old son for open play and parties for the past year, and I have nothing but good things to say. I just had my son's birthday party here yesterday, and the whole experience from booking over the phone to cleaning up the party was wonderful. Isaac and his staff are professional, very nice, and extremely helpful! They are great with the kids. They also have so many party decorations there! I forgot a tablecloth and not only did they have one, but it was the same one I had bought! They set everything up for me and cleaned it all at the end. The Ability Center is a wonderful place to have a birthday party. We had our little boy's fourth birthday party on a Sunday morning from 10am -12 pm. The play and kitchen area are separated from each other, however close enough to see your children playing. The entire space is very clean and the staff is extremely helpful with set up and organizing. We served bagels, coffee, fruit and veggies. Everything was just perfect!! Recently had 3 sessions go to waste that I payed for last year with there pass. I even purchased extra sessions in there package. My schedule became hectic due to moving, school & children. Find out today that pass expired, yet the owner knows I purchased it even though last year, since I personally bought it from them. So just because they wrote in an expiration date on pass, if we have sessions remaining that we paid for as good business owners that shouldn't just be taken away from us, as if we have money just to go to waste. So that is at least $22 dollars, that I gave to company that has just been thrown away and not credited to me,. The owner did not return me back the pass and kept it, and did not even offer me the 3 sessions I have remaining or partial credit. Business owners, show a lot this way & out of a good heart would not take our money. We all get busy in life, especially with children. I will not be returning to this place. I only give business where it is appreciated, & deserved. read more
