Their focaccia is amazing! If you like focaccia, you have to eat here! I usually get a personal sized breakfast pizza because it comes in their focaccia. The ambiance is similar to any other deli type takeout lunch place, but they do have some seating right outside of the restaurant. The service I've experienced has always been good. Doing a gig at the metro tower and boss wanted a cup of joe. Quick walk through the tunnel and we're there. Friendly staff. Kinda pricy $7 for a coffee and a cookie. My guy got a muffin and was hard. So I was jogging and Fuego looked packed so I kept moving and saw a sign on the sidewalk, scratch baked bread??? Downtown?? I must investigate! So off I went and what I found was quite the place! The acorn exchange, a hidden gem tucked away in a skyscraper Their fresh scratch baked fae cinnamon swirl loaf for 2.50, same price you'd pay for a slice of banana loaf elsewhere, you get the whole mini loaf!!! They Also bake fresh focaccia for their sandwiches. Their root berry smoothie was delicious after a run, and I will definitely be back for more fae loaf and cookies! read more

The Acorn Exchange is a welcome addition to the sparse downtown lunch scene. There's a nice selection of grilled and cold sandwiches with the option to create your own, as well as salads, soups, desserts, and breakfast. The chunky vegetable soup is really good - it's a tomato base full of zucchini, carrots, yellow and green beans. They also have snacks at the counter like fruit cups and mixed nuts. My one disappointment is that there is no real seating area, so you have to bring your food back to your office. There are two benches for waiting and one high top table with 2 chairs. Still a nice place to grab a quick bite during the workday! read more

I have been getting their avocado and grilled chicken dinner salads lately, and they are delicious and generous. This week I am getting their tuna salad with cheese, lettuce, tomato on marble rye and it's the best tuna sandwich I've ever had ! Don't forget the Lays Kettle Frys. read more
