Company does not honor their lifetime warranty.I have been trying to get a replacement part since August 2025. Mr John Day has been blowing me off for 4 months.I call every 2 weeks. Tells me manufacturer is out of business & can't get parts for Windows anymore. I called the manufacturing # on my contract,they sent me the exact part I need.Replaced part myself & bam window fixed.Had to pay for part but was inexpensive. Contacted the Acri Company almost 10 years ago and somehow seem to still get sales calls from them. Each time request to be removed off the list and yet I still get calls from them. Very annoying and harassing that they can't get their CRM set up properly to remove and update accounts. We haven't even completed a service with them for all the call let alone do we even live in the QC metro area. read more

Two Acri company representatives were in our neighborhood this week. Because they were wearing zero company or professional identification (not dressed professionally at all actually) they were told by multiple residents that they weren't interested and they were asked to leave because it is a privately owned road, which there is a sign indicating. They became loud and aggressive, argumentative and yelling that the road is public (It definitely is not). They were so unprofessional in fact I did not believe in a million years that any company sent these two out on their behalf but apparently they do work for the Acri company. They had to be asked several times to leave private property. So my advice would be that in 2025, amidst the crime rates every corner of the United States faces every day, maybe the Acri company should have the common sense to hire better, require uniforms and identification, or require Marked vehicles? Either way, with such common sense and professionalism lacking, I'd let my house fall apart before I call company for anything. read more

We scheduled an estimate while at rib fest and Sheila came over. She was about 10 min late which is fine. She got comfy on the couch and talked about everything besides windows for at least 30 minutes then asked to use a table to set up. My husband went with her to talk about windows while I hung out with our 2 year old and 2 month old. An hour later I interrupted to say our toddler was ready for her nap and wanted her dad to take her up to bed since I was nursing the baby. Well Sheila did not read the room or take the hint and stayed another hour! Kept asking which companies we spoke to and how much their estimates were. Also tried to pressure us to sign the contract right away and bad mouthed a couple other places. We ended up going with a more expensive place only because she cared so little about our time and talked too much crap about other companies. Consideration and class is more important than cost to me personally. read more

After exhaustive research for a very specific color combination, and only found four area options, ACRI offers a very sturdy & sound window replacement at a decent per-window price. The WARNING every potential customer needs to know is this : with ACRI, pull out your smartphone and VIDEO what the salesman promises you about interior and exterior finishing surrounding their work, AND competence the people they will send to your home. In 2017, after a lengthy story & a day of reckoning in court where a Judge saw our pictures & read extensive correspondence regarding the dangerous, incomplete, and damaging work their "best" installer orchestrated by ACRI we settled for about 70¢ on the dollar. ACRI employes an installer: not a carpenter. This installer, day one, brought along a few chums that actually took our landscaping edging stones (bigger than a softball) and utilized the stones to break out four huge picture windows resulting in shards of glass throughout our garden and interior of our home. Their "best" is quite a nice chap (his first name BEGINS with on of the first four letters of the alphabet), but he had ABSOLUTELY no knowledge the basic tenants of finish carpentry. IF you choose their quality product, make sure EVERY detail of what surrounds their product. Be prepared to execute extensive clean-up after they depart. DO NOT fold under pressure of the "tradesmen" requesting final payment without fully inspecting what they typify as FINISHED work. The last day of the punch-list that took THREE years to complete, the idiot that ACRI employs covered 80% of our master bedroom with a THICK coat of sawdust and left. Beware !!! read more

Twice as expensive as independent roofers. Used them twice, once to rereoof single car garage, price 5700. No notice that they where showing up, they left so much debris inside the garage we couldn't open the door. 2nd job was for 2 1/2 car garage, price was 8200. First of all they roofed while there was still snow on the roof and when the job was done there was rippling all over where as the shingles where buckling. There was previously gutters and they had been ripped off and not replaced. No care at all in workmanship. Contacted company and spoke with nick. Nothing was ever done to make it right. Wouldn't ever recommend this outfit. Stay clear of acri company, milan il!!! read more

We have had multiple issues with the windows installed. We had a repair man come to fix them. He argued politics with me. I was so upset, I didn't check his work. After he left, I found out I couldn't open the windows. I had to call to get someone else to come out and fix the windows. They tried to tell us we were doing something to the windows to make them not work. I only open the top of the windows because we have dogs. Horrible company to work with. Used them to redo our shower. Were told it would be done in two days. False. Here we are almost a week later and it still isn't done. The second day or work was rainy and the man said he couldn't cut any wood in the rain so we offered him to use our garage, he declined and left. Day three (a day AFTER it was supposed to be done) it was windy. Same thing, he can't work much and left. Today rolls around, guy never shows up for work. So we call and they said "oh no one called you? Yeah he tweaked his back and can't work." So here we are FOUR days AFTER our shower was supposed to be completed, with no one to work on it and no shower to use. When we expressed these concerns we were told there was absolutely nothing they could do about it. Not even a sorry. Will absolutely never use this company again. read more

By far the worst company to do business with. I hired them to replace my siding and within 6 months the siding was falling off my house. I spent months with BBB complaints and letters to the Illinois Attorney General. I ended up hiring a lawyer and Nick Acri, agreed to a settlement and even sent a check which he stopped payment on. Needless to say, my house still has siding falling off of it. It has not been repaired and I have not been Compensated to get it repaired. BEWARE of this company. This company will never get my business. First of all they relentlessly called my home and mobile number until I finally, and unfortunately, picked up. I agreed to get an estimate simply because we do need new siding and I wanted to see how it stacked up to other estimates we received. I should have known that when they asked to come out at a time when my husband would be home that it was a mistake. I scheduled them to come give us an estimate at 5:30 so we would both be here. When that day came there was a strange man walking around my home around noon. He didn't come to the door at all. I assumed he was with Acri Company but had no idea. So at 5:30 when he actually did come to the door I let him in. My husband had to run a quick errand with my boys and wasn't home. He didn't want to tell me anything without my husband here. I asked if he could just give me rough idea and he went on and on about how he needed an hour to 90 min to give me an estimate. I said we weren't interested. He got angry and turned around and just left. Then turned back and tried to come back in and questioned if I knew what I was doing. I said I don't need a hard sell. This grown man's response was to slam the door in my face. I was holding my 10 month old and my two year old daughter was right there. He continued to talk down to me as he walked back to his car. DO NOT GIVE THESE CROOKS YOUR MONEY!!! My parents chose to use this company to re-side and replace windows for their home. BIGGEST REGRET THEY HAVE EVER HAD!!! Tim Acri one of the owners and Joe (the sales man) came out the last night of our ordeal with these people to request final payment and pick up the doors which are mentioned below that were not ordered correctly by ACRI and had to be replaced by us. Tim was extremely rude the entire time while he was there. When Joe (the sales man) mentioned that we didn't get the columns for the porch that he ordered, my mother asked what they were going to do about it, Tim's smart ass remark to her was throwing his hands in the air and saying "What the hell do you want me to do about it?" she said I know what I want to tell you & that is shove the it up your A** buddy!!! Also my father brought up the doors that were installed which he had to replace himself, he asked if they normally use shingles/shims to set them. Tim replied yes. My father knowing they had not used them as he had to replace the doors said "Well they sure didn't use them on these doors." This lead to yet another smart ass remark from Tim: "Well I guess it is a good thing you took them out yourself then, huh?. I can not believe these people can stay in business if this is how they always do business. 1.) Entry doors were not acceptable as the jamb widths were not ordered to match the wall widths(this is a nearly 100 year old home which they knew and supposedly had measured for) and the color of the jamb on the inside did not match the wood grain on the inside of the doors. Instead it was white - Received money back for doors, however we then had to remove and replace them and the trim ourselves. 2.) The porch columns were quoted to be aluminum columns capable of holding up the porch roof by themselves. However what was installed was wooden posts wrapped with a snap together aluminum cover. Which they did not inform us of and we discovered on our own. After much fighting with these clowns over this they did give a $1,000 deduction, yet we still did not get what was to be ordered/quoted/promissed and will have to order our own and install them ourselves. 3.) The kitchen window was to be a new constructions window with the jamb width to match the wall width not a replacement pocket window. Not the case, and when the window they used was smaller in size than what was taken out, they attempted to fill it in, however chose not to use drywall to fix above the window. Instead they filled it in with OSB board and did not insulate at all. 4.) The rotten window sills which were to be replaced were not replaced, instead they just wrapped them to cover them up thinking we would not check. 5.) Exterior light fixtures are wobbly, they had just screwed into the plastic cover not the box in the wall as they should have been. 6.) Freeze board which was ordered and we were charged for would not work correctly so was not used. We purchased and furnished 2" x 12" boards which were used instead. The price of the original freeze board should have been deducted from the bill as it should not have been advised to be use. However they took the boards which we paid for and refused to deduct anything from the bill for a product we did not receive/use in the end. 7.) There are multiple large dents in the aluminum wrap of the porch header. 8.) The porch railing which was provided is not of good quality for what was paid, just like the posts/collumns on the porch I am sure that we did not get what we actually paid for. We could have gone to Menards or else where and purchased the same stuff for a very small fraction of the cost. 9.) We were also quoted and promised railing for both sets of outdoor stairs. Nothing was installed on either one. We had to purchased these on our own and install ourselves. 10.) Nearly every window frame was chipped and scratched on the inside of the home from drilling when the windows were installed. I was in the market for new windows, siding and roof a couple years ago. I had salespeople from several companies stop by. Most companies were in an our in no time and rarely entered the house. The Acri salesman came into my house and stayed for 2 hours trying to make me sign on the spot. He tried every trick in the book and didn't give up, but over stayed his welcome. He went out to his van to grab another sample. 15 minutes later my neighbor rang my doorbell and was standing at the front door with my dog. The salesperson left my front door wide open when he came back into the house and my dog got out without me knowing. I was not impressed at all and obviously went with another company. read more

We had an Acri salesperson come out to quote us for a new, expanded deck. Because of the hail storm, we asked him to also take a look at our roof. He looked at it and immediately said "you don't have a claim here". He then quoted us on our new deck. He gave us a price and assured us several times it was correct and wouldn't change. Not to mention that he spent TWO hours at our house talking about his ex girlfriend and current girlfriend. Fast forward to this week, R3 stops by our house and says "hey, we noticed some damage on your roof... do you want a free inspection?" Of course we said "sure!". Not only do we have damage on our roof but we also have damage on our garage door, gutters, and downspouts. Our insurance company just approved for it to ALL be replaced - by R3 of course ... not acri. It gets better! Then, the acri salesperson emails us and says "sorry, I forgot to add in the replacement of your existing deck" and gives us a new quote that is 4K higher! After he specifically said his first quote was good. Needless to say, we won't ever be using Acri again. Your salesperson lost you a 15k deck job and a 14k roofing job. read more

Had a pushy salesman show up and while I was recovering from a health issue I agreed to get siding and windows. Discovered they had a local contractor do my siding and windows. I have never felt so much pressure into buying siding for my home that Im about to sell. I thought she would take measurements and give me her bid and just show me some samples like the other siding companies did. I was so wrong, she was in my house for 2 hours trying to convince me to sign the contract right there on the spot when she knew my kids kept asking they were hungry. The price was so high compared to the other companies and when i showed it to her all the sudden her priced lowered, she even called to see if i approved for financial credit. By the end of that i was frustrated because i was hungry and my kids kept asking me when they were going to eat and all i wanted to do is look through all the bids and do my research that way i will feel good i made the right choice, so she asked me what is there to think about or to go through it. She also had the nerve to tell me she drove an hour an half that the price wouldnt be on the table if she came back, poor poor sales person shame on them. I like how she presented the product but other than that i think it was a mistake calling them for an estimate. At the end she said they needed me more than they needed me by all that they lost me.
