We just had our second annual exam here at Lyndon Animal hospital and both experiences were pleasant. It's not outrageously expensive but it's not discounted. It's almost dollar for dollar what we were paying at Hopewell Animal Hospital, but proximity and service beats distance and same level service. The staff is friendly at Lyndon Animal Hospital and the facility is clean and fresh. I recommend!

Conveniently located for us and with a small but friendly staff, they helped some of our older animals with chronic conditions. Dearest to my heart was my Maine Coon mix, whose life I'm sure they extended by at least a year after his kidneys started to fail in old age. But alas, his day finally came recently, and we knew that it was time to say goodbye. On the sad day, the tech greeted me at the front desk and took me back to a private room. I'll spare the details, but suffice it to say that the staff was caring and compassionate, and allowed me a few minutes with him as he slipped off into a deep sleep that would lead him to kitty cat kingdom come. The office was surprisingly peaceful (no hyper dogs barking or the like), with gentle music playing in the background as I said goodbye. Despite the inevitable tears and the sad occasion, I couldn't have imagined a better place or way to say goodbye. A few days later, I was touched to also receive a handwritten sympathy card at my house with a poem and their condolences at having to say that hard goodbye. It's that sort of extra touch in addition to their great care that makes them stand out. My sweet cat Clyde suddenly became very ill on Thursday, May 7, 2026, and Kelly said to bring him…read moreright in. She and Greta were so kind. They said they would call me later, after Dr. Deck checked him out. Well, Dr. Deck actually called - it wasn't good news but Clyde was treated and kept overnight. He worsened Friday and Kelly said I needed to come in right away. She was lovely, hugged me, and brought Clyde to me. He was going to have to be put to sleep but I spent time with him. Kelly took some photos of me and Clyde. She shaved some of his fur and put it in a little bag with his name on it. I couldn't stay as my neighbor brought me and was waiting plus Kelly wasn't sure what time Dr. Deck would be in to do the procedure. I called later that afternoon and Clyde was gone. But Kelly told me that Dr. Deck had made an impression of Clyde's paw for me. She said it was "really cool". I will pick it up when I take my other senior cat, Freddie, in to check his blood sugar. Everyone was extraordinary at an awful time. I cannot believe how kind they all were! Good people...,

They do an overall exam everyone which does cost but best knowing before they look at the real issue. I understand this is a business and my pets will never be their only priority. Dr. Fulkerson is very attentive. I do miss them doing exams in front of you in the room (changed during Covid) but I understand it's probably a lot easier to do things without an owner telling you what to do. They are not an ER vet so getting in for an emergency isn't going to happen but there are other vets that are. I have exotics (bunnies) so finding a vet that is local and caring is lovely. They also accept Care Credit - which is a huge relief!

Went in recently for a simple exam that turned into them wanted to do a massive course of antibiotics, xrays, and an overnight stay for an infection that our pet doesn't even have (we learned after getting a second opinion). They even charged an 'OSHA DISPOSAL FEE'. They didn't even take blood or tissue samples or anything, they didn't have anything to dispose of. It was bizarre. Do not recommend and won't be back.
