Kansas City hotel with first class service! a stunning boutique hotel located in the KC metro area. It is super close the Plaza and Westport making it a great spot for a KC staycation or for friends from out of town. From the moment we arrived it felt like I was in a movie. The outside felt like a castle. The inside felt like home. Gorgeous decor and small touches that you will love. Upon our arrival we were treated to a bottle of wine which was a perfect way to kick off date night. Very quiet rooms (can't hear your neighbors), super soft beds (like I melted into the bed), amazing shower (think waterfall calmness) and a personal touch you can't get from a chain hotel.

Absolutely beautiful little Boutique hotel just off the Plaza. From its contactless entry, which I've never experienced before, to its beautiful, private, quiet and extremely comfortable rooms...,I loved it all. Highly recommended. I Don't think you'll be disappointed.

What a fantastic experience and stay for our anniversary. I don't think we will ever do another staycation anywhere else. From the communication from Ryan, to the mind blowing entrance and exceptional attention to detail in our room (not to mention the bed & linens!) we just had the most amazing 20 hours. Don't hesitate- it's amazing!! Thank you Ryan for everything

Amazing, amazing, amazing. This boutique hotel is a gem. We stayed in a beautiful two bedroom suite with an insane bathroom. The shower alone fits 4-6 people, oh my! Great location - central to everything, especially the museums. Tons of street parking. You walk up to this amazing manor (see my pics) and walk into a downstairs with two stunningly decorated sitting rooms. Our suite was on the second floor and was crazy gorgeous. Dramatic black painted walls, black on black design in the bathroom, modern fixtures with tasteful design and style. Quiet AND the hosts had locally sourced high-end chocolates as a guest gift (which were delicious). Loved the self-check in with electronic access. Streamlined the whole process and accommodated us due to our late arrival because of flight schedules. I would 100% stay in this place again if I'm back in town.

This hotel is excellent and was just what I was looking for on my 2-day business trip. (But this would be great for a weekend spot with my husband as well.) The rooms are unique and beautiful but still comfortable. I appreciate the key code entry without the need for check in/out. The only reason for the 4-star rating instead of 5 is the parking situation. The Kemper lot used for parking for the hotel is a short walk away. I arrived late at night (by myself) with a number of bags and parked on the street (which the email says you can do) so I didn't have to walk far. I woke up the next day and found my car was broken into. If you stay here, park in the lot (there's cameras) and NOT on the street.

    Huge beautiful king room!

Book your stay in Kansas City here! Just do it!!!! The location is ideal- walkable distance to Country Club Plaza! Amazing place to stay- from the adorable look of the outside, to the amazing patio and landscaping, to the little details in the lounge and living room areas, to the amazing rooms with super comfortable beds (trust us we asked the owners what mattress they used so we could buy our own), to all of the amazing details and decorating throughout the rooms, to the incredible rainfall showerheads, to the espresso machine and delicious complimentary treats and evening wine, etc. etc. etc. I can't say enough great things about this place. We have stayed in different rooms multiple times and have not been disappointed and we will always book our stay in Kansas City at the Aida. The owners are beyond accommodating and friendly! Love it here, thanks for the memories and amazing stay!

I love this hotel, and it's clear the owners David and Ryan do too. There is so much attention to detail and style in every corner. On top of the stunning interior design the rooms and beds are incredibly comfortable. If you stay here you will get form and function! Bonus points for being a queer friendly space in these scary times!

This place is so amazing. As soon as I walked in, I had to take a few moments to take it all in. Everything was so intentional, elegant with an old world charm with a modern flair. They do a contactless entry into where they send you a code to the entry doors and one to your room. The room took my breath away. It was so comfortable and tranquil. The mattress was top notch, memory foam (think TEMPUR-PEDIC) bed. The room I had, room 1B at the base of the staircase, was massive and had a gorgeous garden view. The fire place and seating area was wonderful. I loved it. The owners were wonderful. I had a slight issue in the room and they responded immediately and were very gracious which lets me know they'll deal with any issue, big or small. It has an Alexa device in the room and they have amazing scents that created such a warm and welcoming vibe. The robes hanging and the chocolates on the bed were a perfect touch. My husband and I seriously loved it so much. It feels like a high class bed and breakfast without the breakfast. I enjoyed the privacy and comforts of this place and almost preferred to stay in rather than go do some of the scheduled activities we had. If there were cons to staying in this place, I'd say that you likely need a car (rather than public transport but Uber/Lyft could work), and there are stairs to enter into the lobby. The linens were good but could be upgraded but nothing offensive. And the bathroom door is strange in that it has to stay propped open; it can only be pushed open from the inside since there's no handle on the outside. It's quirky but also charming. Still I'd give this place 5 stars easily.

My girlfriend and I stayed at The Aida for a mini week vacation in Kansas City. It's in a great location and the hotel is BEAUTIFUL. You can tell that Ryan and David absolutely love what they do because of the detail that goes into the place. Felt safe with our unique digital code lock on our room and a beautiful comfortable room. We look forward to staying here every time we visit KC!

But hey... we got the top floor and could see the Ferris wheel and directly into other spaces of the hotel. The bathroom- supposedly luxury towels but were extremely frayed and thin. The amenities were fine but not special. The toilet is separated by a frosted 1/4 wall... but yet provided no privacy. It did serve to hide the look of the toilet though if that was merely a design decision rather than customer experience choice. The lighting was subpar. The internet was non existent and tv.. not even the option to stream your own Netflix. Which we needed because there was nothing else to do in the hotel (besides drink at the bar or swim with the rowdy kids on the terrace level ... or whatever that was). I woke up so tired after sleeping in the hot room (turned temp down as far as it would go, and had to kick off all covers) Just awful. When going to bed by 9pm and waking at 7am I should've felt rested and renewed. It was absolutely not my experience, nor my daughters. Overall, it's not at all the worst place... but definitely not near the top of nicest either.

I did appreciate that they comped a meal for everyone staying here through that, even though a fire alarm was totally out of their control. The rooms have plenty of character, and the valets work really hard here. They bring your car up super fast. The staff at the restaurant is super friendly, and they're good with kids too. It is important to note that the bar area comes to life on weekend nights (you have to walk by it to get to your room), but kids need to see what adults are like after the sun goes down at some point in their lives. But there is an art display on the ground floor of the hotel, so if your kids cannot resist touching something like that, this might not be the place for you. If you're visiting KC, you'd be lucky to stay at the Crossroads.

We pulled directly into the garage which is under the hotel. There is a door to the hotel in the garage and a doorbell where the staff can buzz you in to a secure elevator lobby. Th elevator will bring you up to check-in desk which is modern and spacious. The front desk attendant was very professional and efficient. Our room was spacious, included a couch, desk, closet, kitchenette with dishes, microwave, dishwasher, full refrigerator, stovetop and coffeemaker. The bathroom was clean and was stocked well. Most importantly the bed and pillows were very comfortable! The hotel does allow pets so we did have a few on our floor and we could hear them while walking down the hallway but not once we closed the door to our room. In the morning they provide a free breakfast in the lobby with a nice dining area. It's premade eggs, sausage, breads, etc. Breakfast is decent. The lobby also has a nice lounge/work area. We were not there long enough to check out the gym, pool or other amenities so I cannot comment on those items but from our experience, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is also located in a great spot to walk to restaurants in the freight district and several other restaurants and bars from there.

We…read morebooked Hotel KC because our friend's wedding was hosted there, and since we were driving up from Texas, we wanted to make things easier by staying at the venue. My boyfriend was one of the groomsmen, so his weekend was already packed. We checked into the hotel on Friday so we could help the bride and groom if needed. When we got to our room, I noticed the door didn't close all the way. I'm usually pretty cautious about hotels and Airbnbs, so I asked the front desk to fix it right away. My boyfriend had to leave for the rehearsal shortly after dropping off our luggage. A maintenance worker came quickly, but after 45 minutes, he removed the metal latch plate on the doorframe so the door would shut. I told him that didn't seem right and completely defeated the purpose of the lock, but he didn't speak English and was using Google Translate. He said it was a temporary fix and that the front desk would assist us later. The door did close, but it felt like anyone could easily break in. Since we had a busy schedule, we left for the rehearsal dinner around 6. After dinner, we returned and asked the front desk whether the door would be properly fixed that night or if we could switch rooms. The front desk agent said they had multiple weddings that weekend, so all rooms were booked and nothing was available. She also said, "Our hotel is very safe, nothing happens." That's not something you want to hear as a guest. If I'm paying for a room, I expect to feel safe, not wonder if I'll be the first to experience a problem, especially since I had multiple expensive camera gear with me. We insisted on having the door fixed before bed, so they sent an "engineer" upstairs. When we explained the issue, he told my boyfriend that the metal piece on the doorframe was just for "aesthetics." At that point, my boyfriend was pissed. He grabbed the room key and a plastic spoon, propped the door open in front of the engineer, and demonstrated the issue. The engineer ended up calling two more maintenance workers and told us to leave for our event while they worked on it. We had to go downstairs for a late-night meet-and-greet, so they stayed to fix the door... again. When we came back around 11:30 PM, someone was still working on it. They reinstalled the metal plate and told me to slam the door hard for it to close. We had to do it multiple times, at midnight, while our neighbors were sleeping. He said it was the best they could do since no other rooms were available. We were exhausted and just went to bed. Saturday morning, the day of the wedding, my boyfriend left at 8 AM for suit fitting and to get ready with the groom. He asked me to check with the front desk, and they said we could switch rooms, but not until around 3 PM (normal check-in time). I reminded them that the wedding would already be happening then, and they apologized for the inconvenience. They sent yet another maintenance worker around 9 AM, this time with a drill, loudly working on the door and frame. I couldn't stay in the room with that noise (video), so I ended up spending time in the groom's suite. It was frustrating to pay for a hotel and barely have any time to relax in the room. There were constantly maintenance workers coming in and out, and I never felt safe being there alone. They finally moved us to a new room at 1 PM, right in the middle of the bridal party photos around the hotel. I couldn't carry all our luggage myself, so my boyfriend had to help me while wearing his groomsman suit. After everything, the hotel never apologized for the inconvenience or offered any kind of compensation. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with their service. If this had been my wedding weekend, I would not have been this nice..

We used to drive up from Wichita where we lived and I remember staying there with my parents when we flew my mother out at the time Garth Brooks played the T-Mobile center. It's always been a good hotel and they don't miss much however this time there were a few things that were irritating. When you arrive to the hotel, you must go in and check in before you can park in the garage. However, the rear entrance to the hotel is locked even though the sign says the door is open from 6 AM to 10 PM. Calling the front desk on the intercom system was of no use because they cannot unlock the door remotely. Also checking in on the Hilton app does not grant you a virtual key until you check in at the front desk. So you cannot park your car or enter the hotel from a convenient entrance until you go around front and park in the valet space to go inside and register. It's a silly and frustrating exercise every time. However, usually the back door is not locked. Our room was very nice, but the AC didn't seem to cool very well we were both very warm and sweaty while trying to sleep in early April. The icing on the cake was House Keeping tapping on our door with a key card 2 1/2 hours before check out to see if they could come in while we were still sleeping and we had the do not disturb sign on the door. We were not amused. There is no ace machine on the second floor, so don't stay there if you want ice. In the back of the hotel, there was an electric scissor lift parked under the fire escape, prohibiting the stairs from coming down to the ground. I'm not a fire marshal, but I'm pretty sure that's a huge violation. However, both Richie and Tyler working at the front desk, were the bright spots of the stay along with Jennifer, the bartender in the Drum Room. Richie and Tyler apologized for the shortcomings and gave us some coupons to try to make things right. We appreciated the gesture. I flushed it down the toilet, then called the front desk to a manager about it. I talked with Mel. He offered to move us to another room, which would not have been as nice as our suite. I declined as I didn't want a downgrade in our room. I asked him to make sure that housekeeping did a thorough cleaning the next day.
