This warehouse style boutique is a popular place to stay when you are in Kansas City. Welcome to Cherry Warehouse Boutique! The rooms are spacious, inviting, and very clean! This boutique may be smaller than your normal hotels, but it has a lot of unique features. There is art and sculptures throughout the space as well as a pretty amazing rooftop patio with plenty of comfortable chairs to relax in. But hey... we got the top floor and could see the Ferris wheel and directly into other spaces of the hotel. The bathroom- supposedly luxury towels but were extremely frayed and thin. The amenities were fine but not special. The toilet is separated by a frosted 1/4 wall... but yet provided no privacy. It did serve to hide the look of the toilet though if that was merely a design decision rather than customer experience choice. The lighting was subpar. The internet was non existent and tv.. not even the option to stream your own Netflix. Which we needed because there was nothing else to do in the hotel (besides drink at the bar or swim with the rowdy kids on the terrace level ... or whatever that was). I woke up so tired after sleeping in the hot room (turned temp down as far as it would go, and had to kick off all covers) Just awful. When going to bed by 9pm and waking at 7am I should've felt rested and renewed. It was absolutely not my experience, nor my daughters. Overall, it's not at all the worst place... but definitely not near the top of nicest either.

I don't know KC super well, but would definitely say that Crossroads area a super solid spot to look into when traveling. It was surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc. very local feel. The hotel itself has a very simple and rustic feel, but is still modern and artsy. They have local art from artists in the main areas, and the rooms are adorned with brick, wooden touches, really cool lighting, and super comfy beds. They have a mini bar and fridge in the rooms, which you can purchase items from. They also had local products for toiletries which I thought was really cool. The workout room isn't super extensive, but I lucked out and saw there was an Orangetheory 2 blocks away (my regular gym) so I walked there. Parking is street or VIP only. The staff were incredible and helpful, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here!

Loooooved their appetizer for Meatballs. The meat was perfect , tasted so delicious. The Spicy Chicken Salad was also good. Both dinner foods can be shared or for one person . Highly recommend . Overall, great experience.

We had a nice experience at Home2 Suites Downtown Kansas City…read more We stay at many Home2 Suites when traveling and this one although older is very nice in my opinion. We pulled directly into the garage which is under the hotel. There is a door to the hotel in the garage and a doorbell where the staff can buzz you in to a secure elevator lobby. Th elevator will bring you up to check-in desk which is modern and spacious. The front desk attendant was very professional and efficient. Our room was spacious, included a couch, desk, closet, kitchenette with dishes, microwave, dishwasher, full refrigerator, stovetop and coffeemaker. The bathroom was clean and was stocked well. Most importantly the bed and pillows were very comfortable! The hotel does allow pets so we did have a few on our floor and we could hear them while walking down the hallway but not once we closed the door to our room. In the morning they provide a free breakfast in the lobby with a nice dining area. It's premade eggs, sausage, breads, etc. Breakfast is decent. The lobby also has a nice lounge/work area. We were not there long enough to check out the gym, pool or other amenities so I cannot comment on those items but from our experience, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is also located in a great spot to walk to restaurants in the freight district and several other restaurants and bars from there.

If you're looking for a hotel that won't add stress to your wedding weekend, look elsewhere. We…read morebooked Hotel KC because our friend's wedding was hosted there, and since we were driving up from Texas, we wanted to make things easier by staying at the venue. My boyfriend was one of the groomsmen, so his weekend was already packed. We checked into the hotel on Friday so we could help the bride and groom if needed. When we got to our room, I noticed the door didn't close all the way. I'm usually pretty cautious about hotels and Airbnbs, so I asked the front desk to fix it right away. My boyfriend had to leave for the rehearsal shortly after dropping off our luggage. A maintenance worker came quickly, but after 45 minutes, he removed the metal latch plate on the doorframe so the door would shut. I told him that didn't seem right and completely defeated the purpose of the lock, but he didn't speak English and was using Google Translate. He said it was a temporary fix and that the front desk would assist us later. The door did close, but it felt like anyone could easily break in. Since we had a busy schedule, we left for the rehearsal dinner around 6. After dinner, we returned and asked the front desk whether the door would be properly fixed that night or if we could switch rooms. The front desk agent said they had multiple weddings that weekend, so all rooms were booked and nothing was available. She also said, "Our hotel is very safe, nothing happens." That's not something you want to hear as a guest. If I'm paying for a room, I expect to feel safe, not wonder if I'll be the first to experience a problem, especially since I had multiple expensive camera gear with me. We insisted on having the door fixed before bed, so they sent an "engineer" upstairs. When we explained the issue, he told my boyfriend that the metal piece on the doorframe was just for "aesthetics." At that point, my boyfriend was pissed. He grabbed the room key and a plastic spoon, propped the door open in front of the engineer, and demonstrated the issue. The engineer ended up calling two more maintenance workers and told us to leave for our event while they worked on it. We had to go downstairs for a late-night meet-and-greet, so they stayed to fix the door... again. When we came back around 11:30 PM, someone was still working on it. They reinstalled the metal plate and told me to slam the door hard for it to close. We had to do it multiple times, at midnight, while our neighbors were sleeping. He said it was the best they could do since no other rooms were available. We were exhausted and just went to bed. Saturday morning, the day of the wedding, my boyfriend left at 8 AM for suit fitting and to get ready with the groom. He asked me to check with the front desk, and they said we could switch rooms, but not until around 3 PM (normal check-in time). I reminded them that the wedding would already be happening then, and they apologized for the inconvenience. They sent yet another maintenance worker around 9 AM, this time with a drill, loudly working on the door and frame. I couldn't stay in the room with that noise (video), so I ended up spending time in the groom's suite. It was frustrating to pay for a hotel and barely have any time to relax in the room. There were constantly maintenance workers coming in and out, and I never felt safe being there alone. They finally moved us to a new room at 1 PM, right in the middle of the bridal party photos around the hotel. I couldn't carry all our luggage myself, so my boyfriend had to help me while wearing his groomsman suit. After everything, the hotel never apologized for the inconvenience or offered any kind of compensation. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with their service. If this had been my wedding weekend, I would not have been this nice..

We used to drive up from Wichita where we lived and I remember staying there with my parents when we flew my mother out at the time Garth Brooks played the T-Mobile center. It's always been a good hotel and they don't miss much however this time there were a few things that were irritating. When you arrive to the hotel, you must go in and check in before you can park in the garage. However, the rear entrance to the hotel is locked even though the sign says the door is open from 6 AM to 10 PM. Calling the front desk on the intercom system was of no use because they cannot unlock the door remotely. Also checking in on the Hilton app does not grant you a virtual key until you check in at the front desk. So you cannot park your car or enter the hotel from a convenient entrance until you go around front and park in the valet space to go inside and register. It's a silly and frustrating exercise every time. However, usually the back door is not locked. Our room was very nice, but the AC didn't seem to cool very well we were both very warm and sweaty while trying to sleep in early April. The icing on the cake was House Keeping tapping on our door with a key card 2 1/2 hours before check out to see if they could come in while we were still sleeping and we had the do not disturb sign on the door. We were not amused. There is no ace machine on the second floor, so don't stay there if you want ice. In the back of the hotel, there was an electric scissor lift parked under the fire escape, prohibiting the stairs from coming down to the ground. I'm not a fire marshal, but I'm pretty sure that's a huge violation. However, both Richie and Tyler working at the front desk, were the bright spots of the stay along with Jennifer, the bartender in the Drum Room. Richie and Tyler apologized for the shortcomings and gave us some coupons to try to make things right. We appreciated the gesture. I know local management isn't responsible for the shortcomings of the Hilton HHonors app, but they are responsible for training their staff.

It definitely works as a conference space Staff was generally kind and accommodating- HUGe kudos to Jeffrey in the bar who gets five stars and needs a raise. He made our last night so special and was very aware of the cocktail menu, providing recommendations HOWEVER- for something that calls itself a luxury establishment, attention must be paid. The rooms are in SERIOUS need of updating and a deep clean. My colleague had roaches in his room and I had a weird slime mold growing behind the trash can, even though housekeeping came it's clear everything is very surface level. I would also recommend revisiting the policies for when guests receive deliveries. I have no idea where customer service went in the last few years but I received a very important delivery of medical supplies and the staff could not only not find it but I was not notified and nobody offered to bring it to my room, once it was finally found, a second delivery had already been issued and we were told the "fee would be waived" when it should've been found the first time. There is definitely room for improvement to take this place to the next level. When I told the front desk about the mold, they offered for me to change rooms but since I was leaving the next morning, didn't want the hassle but there was no apology or any offer of anything else for my troubles as a bonvoy member I may stay here again if there's a work event but I will inspect the rooms closely and expect better as the area is booming

I wanted to relax for a night and show my son a "high end" hotel. EXTREME LET DOWN and I was embarrassed. Upon entering the hotel, we encountered their officer having to remove homeless or loitering people from the lobby ‍. The ONLY good thing that impressed me was the waterfall. The demand you arrive at a specific time for check in or, you'll have to pay extra. The WHOLE place is dim and dark as you are walking through it. DO NOT BELIEVE THE PICTURES on line! THEY ARE MISLEADING! I asked if they could activate my mobile key so I could use the app...NOPE! They couldn't get it to work. We went up to the room on the 17th floor and again, dark long hallways with little lighting. This is concerning as well for safety. The room next to ours had the front door broken lock/handle broken off. Upon entering the room, even more disappointed came. The room is underwhelming for the name of the hotel. I had driven a few hours to get there and wanted some coffee. Guess what, the coffee maker didn't work. The "club lounge" was and ABSOLUTE JOKE! Not to mention it's on the 1st floor. The man at the desk responded as if he was annoyed that I was shocked the "club lounge " was on the 1st floor! Who wants to walk a mile to their room, then come all the way back down to the 1st floor to the club lounge . We go try out the "club lounge " and guess what?! My mobile key doesn't work to get in. So, I have to go back to the front desk and get a key smh embarrassing. The sp called food they had it there LITERALLY made me want to vomit. From the smell of it to the look of it (see pictures). The room was loud and you could hear EVERYTHING from outside. Do not expect to sleep good. The positive reviews on Google MUST be coming from ALL of the airline personnel we saw there. THEY ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE A CONTRACT WITH THEM because, THERE'S NO WAY!! There were so many of them. They don't care because they don't have to pay for it. I want to say it was southwest airlines (don't quote me but it was definitely the crew). The parking is a joke. TRUST ME, USE VALET or you'll be trapped in their parking garage! Absolutely the WORST hotel I've stayed in!! If I didn't go in the room and sleep I would 100 percent request my money back!. You've been warned!!!
