Good service but not much selection and it was wayyyyy pricier than other shops. I liked the displays they have too.

I am writing because I received a broken Airbus A321 NEO United Airlines not just once, but twice. The first airplane's engines were broken including the elevator. Now the second one I just got has a broken engine. I love ordering from here, but I would avoid buying this particular aircraft. They had also mentioned that they had checked to see if my airplane was damaged before shipping but clearly that was a lie because it still came broken. 4 stars is only for the difficulty of getting in the place. After that though, customer service is excellent, knowledgeable and cery friendly. The woman who helped me had a smile the whole time. Like she knew I was blown away by the planes and accessories. I actually bought a Mr. Bean car .. couldn't leave it it was just too rare. Highly recommended for plane enthusiasts and people who build model scenes in their basement. Selection is really something to see. read more

I finally found a place where I can order model passenger jet in the 1:200 scale. It's The Airplane Shop in Fairfield, NJ. I have made 8 purchases from them. I call rather than use the internet website. I have been very impressed by how friendly and helpful these people are. I have spoken with 4 different people and they all offer a great attitude, knowledge and are amazing as to how quickly they process my order. I order 1 day and I get the shipment the next day here in VT. The packaging they use is amazing. In a time where you're lucky to even have a bag for as shipping container they use a properly sized cardboard box, lot's of paper padding which is able to be recycled. Lot of products sell out fast but they will add you to a pre/order list(if you wish) and send it when comes back into stock. I'm very impressed with this store. I'm looking forward to my next order! One of the worst possible places to buy airplane models. This store being a "distributor" will only charge full MSRP on most items that you can get significantly cheaper at many of the stores they supply. Rude and incompetent staff, they don't check the products they sell whether your a customer or a retailer so there is always an endless sea of returns and overall just a miserable company. Don't waste your time for the "in-person" experience, it's not worth it. read more
