This hobby shop has everything you may need in stock. The problem is the owner may have to move 30 or 40 items out of the way to get to it. Nice people are the owners. They have every bit of a million dollars in inventory. I've never seen anything quite like this. Go there just to be amazed by the inventory. Came in here looking for small rubber washers. We talked it over and I showed him what I was trying to do. Unfortunately it was something they didn't have. Jim advised me to maybe check an old fashioned hardware or older auto parts store. Just as I'm pulling out, Jim comes outside saying he may have something that could work. I park my car, return to the shop while he pulls out some various sized o-rings for my scrutiny and ultimate approval. I really appreciated him taking the time to help. This shop is great I haven't been there in a very long time since moving out of state. I lived in whippany and as a kid and into my mid thirties, I spent a lot of time and money in that shop and it was all worth every single minute and penny of it. The Staff was always great and real helpful! they have everything and ordered parts and piece's I needed for literally Planes, trains, slot cars and looks like now drones from the progressive commercial I just saw. Waste of time. They have a lot of rc cars but the place is a mess. The store is tunnels of boxes stacked high. Getting help is impossible, after trying to get a salesperson for 30 min I eventually walked out. I would like to support a small hobby shop but they make it impossible. read more

Don't let the maze of boxes/products fool you. This is a great place with a lot of selection and helpful employees. I watched the guy in the back help multiple customers at one time and even answered phone calls in between. Very knowledgeable staff. The lady that works there is also nice and helpful. They didn't have want i came for in stock but she was kind enough to take my name and #. Few days later I get a phone call that they have it in stock. read more

The owner of the store is a real jerk. Totally condescending. The first person who put a review on here was 100% correct. I've been in this store now maybe 3 or 4 times and I can't take it anymore. I thought maybe the dude was having a bad day, but he's just a jerk. He's totally a person who never moved out of his parents' house, and is a complete hoarder. If you ask him any questions he's totally bothered and insulted, and worse so if you are just trying to learn to get into the hobbies. He has no interest in helping you , so you should have no interest in supporting his store. Should have known when you drive up and see 50 boxes that have been sun faded for over 20 years or something like that, that it will be a terrible experience. NEVER GOING BACK! read more

He took the time to learn what we were looking for - gave us several options and then had the patience to explain everything about the car that was critical. I love the shop he carries all of tamyia paint. other hobby shops in the area are hit-and-miss when it comes to tamyia paint. The guy is very helpful and knowledgeable. Has a huge selection plastic models RC Rockets. There are other places around but they can't compare to Tech toys. read more

My children and I stopped in today to purchase a mini drone for my 7 year old son. Jim was very helpful, as we wanted a starter drone on which to practice. We received a good price, and he had lots of choices. At home when we had trouble syncing the controller to the unit, we took it back the same evening and he replaced it with a new one, and synced it for us.
