When I contacted Aura, Taryn and her team did everything to welcome us and gave me so much information. They treated us (me, husband and our dog) like we were their only potential residents,and that didn't change once I made the decision to make Aura my home. They truly care about you and treat the residents like family/friends. Family friendly neighborhood, brand new apartments, with a heated pool and jacuzzi, and a 24hr residents-only gym. We rent a storage room located on our floor (super cheap price for the size and convenience), so that we didn't have to rent from outside storage facility. We also love the dog (and bike) wash on site, and the trails are located right outside our door. Additionally, the maintenance staff is kind and responsive. We rent a garage space for one of our cars, but there is PLENTY of good free resident parking available on the premises. I emailed again on Monday (6/3) morning, and was informed a service technician was scheduled for Tuesday. I'm not sure how I would have received this information if I had not inquired. This is reflective of the level of investment management has in the well-being of their residents and apartment facilities. You will need to advocate, beg, and plead for basic utilities. There are a bunch of visitor spots which are awesome considering other places I have been to have very limited parking. It has made having a few friends over a lot easier since they don't have to circle many blocks for parking. Maintenance Issues. The maintenance crew is top notch, taking care of any issues that we have had which were minimal. Super friendly and we never have to worry about maintenance callbacks, the concerns are fully addressed the first time. Price. Honestly, for the quiet and comfort that is here, I think it is worth it. Far away from the major roads, car noise and consistent passing traffic/horns aren't really a concern. The location for me is pretty big, so I have access to everything I need with a descent drive time. Also, there is a park right across the street with a playground and a big area on the other side of the complex that will be amazing when it is completed! I think the only issue we have had so far is the grill section of the community that was still being completed, but it will be ready for next year! Safety. Additionally, there is a security element for the complex, so it is a lot safer than other places I have lived. Staff. Troy has been pivotal regarding any challenges or issues that have come up. Before signing the lease, the manager assured me they would never access the home without my permission unless it was an emergency. Since moving in, they have now forced possession of units in the complex twice for non emergencies. They notify tenants through a blast email with no choice for saying no or setting an appointment. Like complete dictators. Today they accessed my unit without permission even though the manager committed to setting an appointment with me when I could be present. They proceeded to force access to my unit and rummage around for over 13 minutes while my alarm was going off. How disrespectful and invasive! Then, the manager gets back to me saying their forced access and rummaging around for 13 minutes was inadvertent. Also, quoting technical verbiage in the lease rather than be a man of his word. If I could move out early without penalty, I would. I would not recommend living / renting in this complex. There are much better options out there.
