Resident for 2+ years. Our unit is quiet. Management and Maintenance responsive and prompt in any service requests. Location is great! Love our view of the mountains. Proximity to medical facilities, shopping and eateries is very good. Rent and utilities are somewhat high but seem in line with the area. Plan to continue our residence at Brodie. read more

Again-The Brodie still disappoints. Construction ongoing for six months now with no use of the pool, the hot tub, or the grills!! the photos are of what used to be a hot tub area( WHO IS JENNIFER??). They raised my rent ($150) & my parking cost (to $100) even though they have almost 40 units that are sitting empty right now!! My apt. is listed currently April 2024, for $200 less than I pay for it, but they want me to renew my lease with an increase? There are SO many other choices- this is not the place to be!! do your market research you can find a better place for a better cost-never heard of a Jennifer here -so I don't know why that is the person responding---I think it's an AI robot!! read more

This is not a suitable area to live in. Do not consider living at The Brodie. My experience with the apartment complex has been an absolute nightmare. For several reasons, The Brodie neglects to offer air conditioning to its tenants during severe weather. The apartment building is filthy! Brodie charges their renters a service fee for valet garbage pickup. However, the garbage often remains outside of renters' doors for days on end. The smell of dog poop fills the hallways. The odor hits you in the face even as you step outside.  Tenants should not have to deal with these kinds of issues for the cost of rent. The Brodie parking policy makes it incredibly difficult for visitors to visit. Making them park outside the complex or risk having their vehicle towed. as a person with a disability living on a fixed income. People have been forced to pay hundreds of dollars to recover their vehicles. The apartment building was of absolutely no assistance. The Brodie charges a fee for secured parking for their tenants. The broken doors, however, make it easy to enter the parking garage. The tenant's vehicle has been broken into. Brodie fails to accept any accountability. The Brodie advertises their pool as a primary attraction. However, the pool is always dirty, and debris from the pool injures the residents. The leasing office truly is unprofessional. I would not recommend living here. read more

The Brodie has decided to completely disregard the best interests of the tenants and it shows. We have key fobs, system is either down, doesn't work, or the door itself is open and you don't even need it. Trash is hit or miss a lot of days. But that's not even the worst part. The Brodie closes Tuesday - Saturday at 5pm. Mondays closed all day. So that means Saturday 5pm-Monday 10am. If you want to have a guest park their car that'll be 500$!! Yup you heard it right. Let's say it's 5:01 Saturday evening and you wanted a friend to come over.. guess what? Can't get a parking pass. Wanted grandma to come over after church on Sunday? Can't get a parking pass. It's outrageous. Management has made it apparent they don't care about tenants social lives and mental health. STAY FAR AWAY!!!! read more

do not rent here! they will lie to your face and claim to help you but they do not. One of our neighbors who never takes her dogs out moved into a different unit right above us. Her two dogs would run around super late at all hours of the night. her and her BF would argue sometimes and it would get heated and loud. we brought our concerns to management and they did nothing. Called police out because they would start creating crashing and banging sounds that would start around 7 pm and go til midnight or later. nothing was done. we cleaned our entire unit top to bottom and even repainted the outside patio door that was previously stained yellow with the supplied white paint. we were charged for this. we were charged for "breaking lease early by leaving early even though we paid up til the 15 which what we were told we owed 985$ something dollars. we paid this and moved on the 3rd. we were charged 699$ for damages when we repaired some things that were left by former tenants. amenities were closed for 9 months. after they reopened we got maybe 1 week of enjoyment out of the pool. irresponsible pet owners would leave their dog poop everywhere. no reprucussions whatsoever. elevator and hallways always smelled of axe body spray and weed. stairwells had holes in walls and stains everywhere and maintenance would not clean up unless you complained. we took photos of everything moving in and moving out. we were going to sue to get our damages back when I have a family member who works in this field and after running everything by her we got our charges dropped to 106$ and begrudgingly paid it to be done with the matter as it took weeks to resolve. beware and please check your charges as we found out after the fact that they double billed you recieve a bill for gas/boiler/ electric etc from Brodie as well as excel. they've collected hundreds from us in our 1 year lease there. we're not sure how much because my wife had it set up to autopay monthly but instead of fighting them on it we left the state and have moved on. pest control is also charged to you but there are tons of hives on property. don't rent here. it's also not safe. car break ins daily, cameras never work, homeless encampments at the bottom of the hill. see the other reviews for parking and such read more

I've been at The Brodie for 2 and half years and I'm very happy here. The grounds are well kept and clean and the both the office and maintenance staffs are courteous and always helpful. I had one small issue with a stuck garbage disposal and maintenance fixed it within a day. The clean, well maintained 24 hr gym is a big plus and one of the reasons I chose The Brodie. Shopping could not be more convenient, with anything you could ask for only 5 or 10 minutes away. Another plus is how quiet the units are. My work hours vary and regardless of the time, I sleep deeply and feel secure and safe in my apartment. I don't plan on leaving anytime soon! read more

Unfortunately, there is going to continue to be theives and just trash people lurking around here. I've had my bike, snowboard, packages, and food stolen from people who probably live here. They think nobody can hear their dogs barking or their subwoofers thumping. Don't bother complaining to anyone, because nobody cares. We've had the SWAT team here, people committing suicide, grand theft auto. No big deal, we'll get some free burritos or pizza once a year. If you stay longer than a year, expect your rent to go up. My rent has gone up $600 since I moved in. Anyone know why they decided to completely remodel the pool area? No. Don't expect to be enjoying the amenities you pay for anytime soon. And to whomever is blasting music all the time in building 1, GET A LIFE! read more

The apartments are nice and the pool has a gorgeous view but when you look deeper, The Brodie is Shady and steals money from their residents. My unhappiness wasn't due to things constantly breaking or the grounds being unkept but due to the shady dealings of management. The property manager is far from helpful, honest and ethical; issues are never addressed, additional money is taken without clear rationale and her fake demeanor is quick to brush you off. I've known many people whom where taken advantage of by the property manager; water bills in the 100's due to broken meters, double billing of services (water, trash, electricity), fault placed on residents for personal items stolen or damaged. read more

As noted in someone's recent review --it is true & evident that Andrew & his office staff are efficient, display effective organizational skills to meet the many residents' needs & wants, as well as promote consistently keeping the complex grounds & pool area clean & attractive. Snow & ice removal is a top priority. Clearing snow & ice melt put out readily, The mountain views are vast and apartments are laid out well regarding square footage per unit. Management does a good job keeping residents notified of upcoming events per email messages. This attention to communication helps make The Brodie community feel connected. Job well done! read more

The Brodie Apartments - Massive Mountain View - Apartments Near Me - Westminster, Colorado

There are so many reasons why I would advise against any potential tenants considering this property. The view is amazing, and they offer decent amenities with the pool and gym--but that is no different than you would expect from any "luxury apartment." They fail miserably with property management. We signed a short term lease and were very clear that it would only be for four months until our house was finished being built. I will avoid naming specific people, but the lease officer we spoke to led us to believe that this was possible--so we signed our lease that was to last from March through June of 2022. While here for our short-term stay we encountered numerous problems that were never adequately dealt with. The primary source of frustration was that our upstairs neighbor would routinely leave his dog on the porch and did not take him our for walks. Normally this would not be an issue for us; however the animal would consistently urinate down onto our patio. This got all over our personal items that we left out there. We did not say anything at first , but after a few occurrences, we had to find resolution. The leasing office apologized for the experience and washed our patio and claimed that they would resolve the issue. Nothing was resolved and the dog continued to urinate on our patio. The leasing office stopped cleaning the porch, and instead offered us a bucket so we can do it ourselves--not what you would expect from a "luxury apartment." Toward the end of our stay, our kids were hanging out on the patio and the dog urinated ON them from above. I immediately went to the leasing office to complain, since this was an ongoing issue that was never sufficiently resolved. There were several other issues that lead to a miserable experience. The parking available is non-existent. If you have to leave the property for whatever reason, when you return you will likely have to search for parking and end up having to park on the opposite side of the residence. This is not ideal when you have two kids and are trying to unload groceries. Another concern is that they charged for a trash "valet" service. The valet was supposed to pick up trash, which you left in the hallway in a bin, nightly except for Thursdays. There were numerous nights that they failed to provide the service, so we were left with trash piling up in the hall for days on end. Again, not the definition of "luxury." The management kept the trash room locked so we couldn't even get rid of our own garbage. Despite the inconsistent trash collection, were were still charged for the full service every month. There was no accountability for pet owners, as there was dog feces all over the grass on the property from irresponsible dog owners that never cleaned up after their animals. One rather large dog left a huge mess in front of our door (inside hallway), and the pet owners left it there. These were all relatively frustrating, considering the hefty price for a small apartment. The most frustrating occurrence happened at the time we were moving out. We provided notice at the end of May that we would move out shortly after the closing on our house (June 26th). No issues yet. Before the end of June, we had all items removed and returned the keys. I spoke to a leasing agent (again I will refrain from using names), whom informed us that everything was all set. She confirmed that we had paid for a cleaning service, which would be deducted from our deposit and we could expect a return of the remainder of the deposit shortly. About a week later, we received notice that, not only did they keep the whole deposit, but they claimed that we owed money for July as well. We were completely moved out by June 30th, so there should be NO reason for further billing. It was made clear from the onset that we were only on a FOUR month lease, so why they are billing us for a fifth month is out of the question! Especially when the leasing agent confirmed that we were good and should expect a refund. I escalated this up the chain of command. They offered a payment plan, which I reluctantly agreed to. I do not believe any money is owed, but I do not want them to sabotage our credit if they do not collect what they claim is owed. After the payment plan was agreed upon with the finance department, I received notice from the lasing office that they reject the payment plan and want the full amount right away. It seems that there is no communication or consistency amongst them. I spoke with a regional supervisor, who claimed that money was owed but would offer a discount of $200 and put a payment plan in place (which is almost offensive when they are trying to collect a sum of $2200). I agreed to the terms in the interest of avoiding any damage to our credit, but am still going to fight and dispute the amount. read more

"Emergency maintenance" is a joke. My toilet overflowed at 6:30am. Now after 9am and still waiting. It is an EMERGENCY!!!!!!!!!! I had to call the emergency maintenance line twice and it's all lip service. I don't need your sympathy. Send help to my apt so i can get to work!! My housemate and I moved here back at the end of February and have had nothing but positive experiences living here at the Brodie. :-) the ambiance is peacefully beautiful, located in between Big Dry Creek and the breathtaking Rocky Mountains- not too far from restaurants and shopping malls near Northglenn, Brookfield and Westminster. Our association does a beautiful job of keeping the grass and plants happy and healthy. The ladies I usually chat with in the leasing office (Tasia and Adriana) are chipper, cheerful and genuinely so helpful. They really went out of their way to make sure my move from California to The Brodie in Colorado was as smooth as possible, especially considering we did all of our communication about the unit via text and phone calls as I was not in Colorado to do a physical tour. They often set up food trucks and other yummy surprises to hang out in our parking lot for a convenient dinner option for you to take home. The pool and community club house is absolutely gorgeous, the neighborhood is very dog friendly with its many walking paths and little trash cans for doggy bags. The service the Brodie provides is efficient and effective, each time I've needed a simple service at my unit the employees are diligent, helpful and respectful. Never hear my neighbors, walls are thick and soundproof for the most part. If I had one gripe about the neighborhood, it'd be that I wish more of my neighbors were open to saying hello now and then... some seem to be a little stuck up in their own ways, or maybe to busy to say hello back to me (lol), but that also may be due to people being courteous of COVID restrictions. That's just a few building residents, otherwise my next door neighbor is seriously lovely. Besides all that, I've never been so happy in an apartment and my housemate and I have never been so in love with our beautiful 2 bedroom unit facing the mountains. Service is pretty lacking, even before COVID. My biggest complaint is the two different trash fees we have to pay; one of which is an "valet" service where everyone puts their trash in the hallway at dinner time for pickup. It adds an extra fragrant atmosphere. Then there's the resident hallway beside the office that perpetually smells like weed. It also happens to be where I have to pick up packages. They not only don't do anything to enforce the no smoking, no weed policy, but extra packages are just dumped on the floor, meaning the box and all it's contents smell like weed too. Covid restrictions aren't really an excuse to have to live with a stench and with filth, when things should actually be cleaner. Pretty disappointed. Any concerns you voice to the office and they're likely to remind you they didn't raise rent during covid. So there's that. read more

So sad that the Brodie has become such a horrible place to live in such a short time after the new management took over. The one upside that it had was the "secure" garages...unfortunately even that is no longer the case. Over the past month NUMEROUS storage lockers have been broken into and robbed (don't take my word for it, just search the Next Door app for "Brodie"). And even worse, management refuses to do anything about it whatsoever. I guess the lone camera facing the garage doors is all they need to disclaim any sort of care whatsoever...and even the smallest degree of empathy). Hopefully one day they might understand that one camera pointed at the garage door entrance won't catch the Brodie resident who enters the garage through the stairwell or elevator to break in to hi/her neighbors storage lockers. UPDATE DECEMBER 12, 2019: Now cars are getting broken into!!! Both in the "secured" garage and in the parking lot! Check Next Door App!!! Please tell me, Brodie, what exactly are you doing to rectify the situation? Have you put in anymore cameras in the garage? NOPE! Have you increased security patrol??? NOPE! DO SOMETHING BRODIE!!!! I feel really bad driving past the cars with smashed in windows this morning! DO SOMETHING BRODIE!!!! I have a feeling you're going to have a lot of residents terminating their leases very soon. They are on point here the staff is professional fast acting and outstanding. They make sure they handle any complaints or issues as fast as possible. They communicate with their residents and people talk to eachother here. It's not like one of those places where you have weird neighbors who just stare at you lol. If you're ready to be nickeled and dimed for everything, this is your place. Be prepared for neighbors to be nosey as hell and post every little dumb thing on the portal. Also, hope you like dog poop on the ground. That is the norm. You can b.tch and complain all you want, there will always be poop on the ground. You will need to pay for valet trash and a conservice bill that always increases in price every month. Oh did I mention there are thieves around stealing things from cars and storage areas? Almost every two weeks I hear about someone having something stolen. Honestly, this place may look nice but walk through the hallways and the walls are dirty and the carpet smells. It reminds me of an old motel. Nice on the outside, dirty on the inside. You won't find parking AT ALL so your best bet is an unattached garage or the underground garage. But even then you don't want to store anything in the underground garage either. People steal. Also, delivery here sucks cause no one can find the building numbers and it's such a headache to go out and navigate the drivers. Trust me. Spend your money elsewhere. Unless you're okay with paying 1500 for a one bed and community that should be rated 2.5 stars. Don't say I didn't warn you. I'm giving it 2 stars because they don't charge a lot for pet deposit. If I could give these apartment a negative star, I would. We moved into The Brodie 08/2019 and signed with the old management, when we first came to collect our keys the new management had taken over. We were told we owed $300+ prior to being handed our keys, we explained we signed with the old management & had signed on a special which reduced the price to move in to $150/total. After Nicole looking for over an hour for our papers she stated they were lost, handed us the keys, pointed us in the direction to the apartment and showed us out. When we got to our 'new' apartment the place was a disaster, it was filthy and smelt horrible. I called numerous times and they apologized, I then had to clean the apartment & vacuum before moving anything in. We were also NEVER told that building #5 was a different address from #1, so we received months worth of mail after residing there for quite some time. Fast forwarding to month 6, we were told we had a work order for maintenance to fix our granite countertops that were cracked (we told them this when we moved in). After being told this would be fixed within 1 business day, we were left with a torn up kitchen, dents in our island, and an non-functioning kitchen for almost two weeks. The worst part, we came back to beer cans, candy, and chips in the apartment and trash that the vendors drank, which our neighbors also told us about. We came home to our door unlocked and unlatched when we had our puppy inside & a HUGE mess to clean up. I tried calling Doug (the property manager) numerous times to discuss this matter, unfortunately he deferred my calls until I ran into him while checking the mail. The next day we talked regarding this matter when Doug decided to start yelling & stated I was wrong & his vendors would NEVER do such things. Luckily our neighbors got involved and told him otherwise. Shortly after this, we decided to purchase numerous cameras to verify no one was entering without warning. Luckily enough we caught maintenance entering, called Doug who denied this until we stated we were watching them on video & he said he was sorry and had no clue why they were in there. Moving out was even worse. Due to our puppy chewing some blinds & a TINY piece of carpet we were charged almost $800 after being quoted no more than $350 per Nicole & Tasia. After yet again trying to speak with Doug (what a busy man!) he accidentally emailed us in regards to another residents issues in building #1. The only reason I got Dougs supervisors name is because he decided to write me back after I stated he had the wrong resident. If I could say anything it would be, DO NOT waste your money, time, energy, or life living here. Doug will never respond to calls, emails, or questions you have, the leasing agents will lose all packages, and the maintenance team is a joke. Most of the residents there are incredibly rude and will make your life there a living hell. read more

After looking at several apartments in the area, the Brodie was the one we found that met all of our needs. Tasia made the process as easy as can be, and every maintenance request we've had has been easy to take care of. Biggest thing that wowed us was the pet deposit, it was less than half what the other places were charging, and some is refundable as well. Several places we looked at had deposits over $1000 that were completely non-refundable, in addition to higher pet rents as well. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Yes, the views are stunning. I truly am going to miss the beautiful mountain views, but believe when I tell you that it is just not worth everything that comes with it. To start, I've been woken up in the middle of the night to car windows being smashed, pool chairs being thrown in the pool, and people fighting. My own storage locker was broken into and over $1500 of property was stolen (I paid money to park in the secured garage and had a lock on my storage unit by my parking spot). Don't tell the staff though because they will have zero empathy. I was shrugged off while they attended to people who wanted to tour the property. I've had cigarette smoke coming into my apartment from people below and nothing was ever done, but don't even think about leaving your trash can outside your door past a certain time or you will hear about it immediately. I have been there long enough to go through several managers. I really thought the newest might be better than the last, but noticed she is just like the rest of them as her demeanor quickly changes if you question anything they do. I recently moved out after 4 years. I was charged $600 for painting, cleaning, and carpet cleaning. I lost my $450 deposit and still owe money. The pictures they posted in regards to these charges are comical and the manager's response was that it was "not up to their standards." Honey, where were these standards when I moved in? I filled out a lot on my initial inspection form which I don't believe they even looked at. I did take pictures thankfully, but apparently not as in depth as them. According to Colorado and even my lease, I cannot be charged for normal wear and tear. The pictures included carpet in high traffic areas that is BARELY a little darker than the rest. We cleaned the carpets and provided receipts, but were still initially charged. No stains or damage whatsoever. This was the only charge I was able to get taken off. There were pictures of scuffs on the walls and where I filled in the nail holes. Again, no damage. However, I was charged $400 to have the WHOLE apartment painted. Don't rental units have to be painted every 3 years anyways? I was there 4 and the previous tenants were there for a few years as well. I feel like this is just their way of making others pay for what they have to routinely do. Finally, my roommate and I spent a lot of time cleaning. We are already very neat and organized people. The pictures they took include a SINGLE PIECE OF HAIR in two locations, finger print from closing the refrigerator door, water stains in the bathroom and kitchen that do not come out, tiny crumbs in the way back of 2 out 12+ cabinets, the lint catcher in the dryer (no lint in it), the inside of the washer in every crevasse, two tiny portions out of 7 large blinds that appear to maybe have a little bit of dust left on them? I can keep going, but my goodness I feel like they just straight up robbed us. I honestly think the apartment looks even better than when we moved in. If you decide you want to move here or already live there, take a picture of EVERY little detail that was wrong with the apartment and prepare to lose hundreds in your deposit, plus some, when you move out. I don't want them to keep getting away with this so I am fighting it and going to court. Hopefully, the judge will see their ridiculous pictures and help them understand that this is not justification for charging someone $600 who lived there for 4 years. If this happened to you, PLEASE fight back. You have rights and they cannot do this. read more

I've been here from the jump (2017). The current staff is great! I love the location (just w. of I-25 &n. of 120th), architecture, and openness. Great views of the Flatirons and front range. Boarders open space and Big Dry Creek. It's very dog friendly, smoke free, and good sound proofing. Elevators, too. Parking is a little squishy, literally. Sometimes the network crashes, but not for long. The apartments are wireless and 'smart'. You can drink the water right out of the tap! But there's no kitchen spray hose (?). The rent is reasonable for the area. Pool with great views. Clubhouse for parties. Fitness center. They handled COVID well. read more

I moved here beginning of March 2021. The Brodie so far has already exceeded my expectations. My apartment is beautiful and my neighbors are very friendly. It really feels like a home. The office team is quick with responses and are very helpful. I would like to give a BIG shout out to the maintenance crew here. Lived here from January 2021 to September 2021 this place is a joke if you want to waste your money , get your car broken into and have your car hit by other cars from the other tenants, have shitty communication with the staff (Tasia)and the manager (Doug) worthless both of them then go ahead and rent here. Cindy was such a great help since we took a tour here and the staff has been very nice & helpful with anything we need. Recently moved in, not much more expensive than my previous place which was built in the 70s, so far I love the place, it has its small things about it but so does every place especially an apartment complex, I am very happy here so far though.
