4 years after re-glazing the kitchen sink, the glaze cracked. Nothing hit the sink. I always cleaned this sink with water and soft cloths, because I was afraid of using any cleaning solvents or rough sponges on the glaze. My goal was to pamper the glaze job to avoid further re-glazing. I'm not sure if this crack is due to low-quality material or the workman. We had a fiberglass tub which had been previously reglazed prior to a tenant moving in. The tenant was very heavy and cracked the tub within a few months. My husband repaired the tub support and applied flex tape to keep the tub from further damage. This was also during covid. Last time I did reglazing I got a sh*tty company with a reglazing job that lasted less than 6 months, and so I pray that this one will be somewhat decent. Was told Damian would come and then they switched out to someone else last minute. Whomever that was that claimed to be Damian did a great job to the kitchen sink. It is a highly used and abused place and so far it is holding up after a year plus. Nothing seems to remotely look like it will need another reglazing any time soon. He was very patient and took his time to do layers and layers of it. The result is so smooth and glossy. I will call them up again. We used them to have our bathtub reglazed a few weeks ago. The tech was very punctual and clean, he did an amazing job and was quick and efficient. There were a few spots that needed to be fixed and our hardware was coated with some overspray, so he came out a few days later and repaired/fixed all of that. Cost was fair for the job after comparing quotes. The smell was strong, but we left the door closed with the vent fan on for a few days before using it and had no issues. Only complaint was lack of communication from the owner. I had to reach out to confirm that we were still scheduled the day before since I had not heard from him. Customer service goes a long way and this company has it. Although the initial Reglazing didn't cure properly I have to give credit to them coming back to fix my tub. I first had them reglaze in March and even following their instructions I noticed that anything touching the tub left an imprint even 5 months after the service. Not sure what happened but I will say that after I sent them pictures to show that the tub did not cure properly they came out within a week to assess then came back in two weeks to repair. So far the tub looks beautiful and white again. I will definitely go above and beyond to make sure it stays that way. read more

We had alpha reglazing come out to resurface our kitchen sink and our laundry sink. The previous owner of our house sprayed the sinks with a resurfacing agent and they were all chipping and looked horrible. Alpha reglazing came out and scraped everything down cleaned it and resurfaced it. It looks absolutely amazing! I was really concerned about the smell. Right when they completed it the smell was so strong. I was afraid it was going to permeate through the entire house and we were not gonna be able to sleep at night. But, within a couple hours it subsided quite a bit. We kept all the windows open and within 4 hours there was just a very light smell. The next day, 24 hours later, there was no smell in the house. We had our tub reglazed and it looked amazing. However, our carpet cleaner came over and turned on the tub within an hour of it being finished so it ruined the job. So, 2 days later The Alpha Reglazing returned to redo the entire job. So, instead of $250, we paid $500 for our tub. Totally our fault for not putting a sign on the door for the carpet guy. We figured closing it was enough. Lesson learned. Anyhow, 6 months down the road and the tub is getting ruined by hard water spots and looks like there are areas where the glaze is coming off. Not sure if the 2nd job was done too close to the first or what, but it's a bit frustrating, especially since we paid double. I got 3 quotes to reglaze my kitchen sink & chose Alpha. Glad I did. They answered all my questions and I was especially happy to find out they use a non-toxic (iso-free) glazing product. It still smells when they're applying it just like when I was painting the walls, but it doesn't have any carcinogens! Work looks good, now I'm going to wait the 24 hours recommended before I use the sink. Actually it's a bit cooler outside so I might let it cure longer just to be sure.
