I typically go to this hookah lounge because it is a convenient 3 minute drive from my house. However, it would not be my first choice in the city. Sometimes they have live music and that's pretty cool. The lounge is clean and decor is appropriate. The drinks are a bit pricy with hardly any specials ever. The last time I went here, I remember requesting a song to be played. I was charged $2.00 to have it played and have no clue why. I've never heard of such a thing. I don't know if the song had to be downloaded from iTunes or what. While $2.00 is obviously not a large amount of money, I have never been anywhere that charges you to hear music ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS BEING PLAYED ALREADY! The hookah was decent though. There are a couple of other options for smoking in Killeen and I'd suggest giving those a try before coming here. read more

This place is terrible. The waitress was ok. However if you want to deviate from the menu slightly it is considered an abomination. Who does not serve regular pickles at a bar? Who mandates that in order to receive more limes with a beer that you must purchase a whole new beer? Who brings the hookah to your table and then proceeds to smoke half of it up claiming that they were "getting it started"? The hookah is very overpriced. The seating is ridiculous. The owner is very unprofessional and intentionally rude. There was a discrepancy with the check so instead of using appropriate customer service tactics she decides to call the police. Just horrible! Way too expensive for a hookah bar. $5 entry fee for each person, then $18 for the hookah, then another $5 for your choice of liquid(milk,juice, alcohol) at the bottom of the hookah. Then $2 for optional ice with the liquid. The seating sucks, bc if you are tall then it will be impossible for you to sit down and be comfortable. The music selection sucks, it was just a bad experience overall. The workers kept "tasting" our hookah. And the tips are way too wide. So, I'll never EVER come to this place again. Oh and there is no re-entry. Place has potential but for now it can kick rocks. read more

Myself and some coworkers went there a few days ago and the service I will say was good but I don't know where the large bill came from. They only had bottle beer and that was warm. We went here because it was open late...as the previous reviews have said this place was terrible would NOT recommend this hookah lounge at all. Hookah alones 20 bucks let alone nickle and dime you for everything. The service was really slow.They gave us really charred coals from the start. Then they have to "try it out and get it started" so there goes half your hookah, wasting your time and hookah. The hookah itself was pretty hard to hit even for a regular hookah smoker. If by chance you order the food you'll be waiting for a half hour just for something easy like wings. The couches were way low to the ground, uncomfortable to sit in. I and half of our party, who had a reservation, we're locked out and wasn't informed on why this was happening and what they were doing while we were out in the element. If you plan on coming here with a party, you HAVE to go the extra mile and make sure contracts are sign BEFORE hand and have the number of people involved or they will do the same to you. Ambrosia's is a beautiful establishment, maybe that is why the customer service is soooooooooooooooooooooo bad!!! Maybe that is why the pricing is RIDICULOUS!!! This place has a nice ambience but that's pretty much what you're paying for. The hookah was not very good at all. The hookah was harsh from the very beginning. The staff was friendly but it seems like they were not experienced in dealing with hookah. We went on a Saturday and they were charging $5 entrance fee. I've never heard of a hookah lounge with an entry fee. Also once you leave the door you are forced to pay another $5. The drinks are expensive as well and they weren't well made. They charged 50 cent per mouth piece. My friends paid $139 for 4 hookahs which is ridiculous. You can get pineapple head hookah in Houston for $20. This was the first time me and my girls went to a hookah lounge. We were shocked to have to pay a $5 cover for a lounge and of course they made sure to let us know there was no reentry. The main woman I'm assuming was the owner was the rudest woman ever. We did not know what to order and we're asking questions and she was very rude and impatient with us. Everything was over price and the $13 drink was watered down with the owner refusing to remake it. To start, the host ruined it all the way...Didnt have to stay long with her attitude. Spent $40 plus $10 for tip in 30 minutes for 2 drinks & burnt grape shisha. She wasnt knowledgeable of the brand of the shisha (im not allow to ask questions?) ,but o well it, got flavors right..it called BBQ sisha , meaning you need 5 coals & a windscreen to light it up even tho we are indoors....She starts the hookah for you but its already cashed out, then she asked you how is it well its burnt & there ash already in the bowl because they shove the tong in the sisha bowl... then she get mad at me the customer for trying to save the hookah I am paying for...my bad thought my $ was good enough there... wish i was a secret shopper so they can pick up the tab, so i paid my bill & no longer considered possible future birthday plans for my girlfriend... So if you want a rude host in your face this is the best place to watch your $ go up in smoke.....better off going to a smoke shop & buying a electronic hookah. read more
