Located in Downtown Historic Killeen. Loved the setting & customer service. Food was served quickly, hot, and fresh. You can not and I mean should not describe this place as a hole in the wall because this little gem is so much more. Chic but inviting, this little spot presents with a small select menu of goodies that will hit your appetite just right. I had the homemade crab rangoons which were good. The shrimp and grits did not disappoint either. My only gripe was that although they offered military discounts, you had to be in uniform to receive it. For me that's hard to come by when I was traveling from out of town. That is my only reason for the 4 stars. The establishment is clean and the owner is warm and hospitable, and she also happens to be from my hometown! They also have a longue and a karaoke bar which if your thing, you can drink and enjoy with friends. Come check it out!! read more

This very cultural Bistro is located on a street corner of a beautifully improved downtown area. With tables for two outside and spacious available seating inside, the deco is elegant yet simple, wonderful use of color, wood and concrete. It reminded me of dining in the Islands. My husband and I came to try out the food and their new Lemonade and Iced Tea I heard about. I had the Jerk Salmon, which was beautifully cooked, meat was moist and tender and not overdone, and wonderfully flavored. The salmon sat on a bed of Caribbean style lentils and rice which looked and tasted amazing. It was accompanied by a mango chutney and chili flavored pickly. Ever flavor of the dish complimented each other, never killed the other flavors and helped to enhance the salmon. We also had a Teriyaki Brussle Spouts appetizer, which had just a sprinkle of sesame seeds. My husband had the Bistro's Burger. From the first bite he never put it down. He didn't even add what he normally does to all burgers. That's saying a lot. The Tyku Bistro Signature Lemonade was a new addition! It was beautifully blended with light hints of fresh ginger and basil! You just have to have a glass, or take home a gallon, we did. We did not get to try the Iced Tea, we will have to go back another day. All-in-all, the ambiance, the food and the people were fantastic. Service was EXTREMELY slow. Our utensils were dirty . Then it took about 50minutes to receive two meals (with no other customers), then the waitress forgot one side dish. That took about 30 minutes to receive, and she tried to double charge us for that ‍. This is all unfortunate because the food wasn't half bad. read more

The food was amazing! The service not so much...was waiting for a LONG time and didn't get asked for any refills had to get up several times to be checking on if they hadn't forgot about us it's a great place to eat good food but really needs to work on their service. read more

Great atmosphere and music on the lounge side! Deangelo is a fantastic bartender, he provided laughs and dance moves and stories to keep us entertained. Food took a while, we ordered wings and the burger. Wine was slightly overpriced, but overall a fun night! read more

Wow!! It took 50 minutes to receive 3 orders of Chicken and Waffles. Service was extremely slow with hardly anyone in the lobby. Our server was kind but the wait was unacceptable. Unfortunately, the plates were well decorated but did not taste good at all; we could not finish our plates. It seemed like our food was sitting under a warmer for quite a long time before being served and the chicken might have been fried in tenured or experienced oil. read more
