The event helps to raise money for the American Legion all while creating a fun time for all the riders participating. It's $20 to attend the event, which also enters you into the poker run (draw 4 chips with a number referencing a specific card). There are five stops: the first and last is the American Legion in Mount Dora, the second was Rock Springs Bar and Grill in Apopka, the third was JJ's Lounge in Sorrento, and the fourth was Crossroads 44 Music & Sports Bar in Eustis. This was a breakaway ride meaning you can break away from the group and go to which ever stop you want to go first. Basically it's a blast if you're a motorcycle rider. Breatfast is served from 8-10am for $6 more. It includes coffee, juice, and a breakfast burrito. The Legion Members provide a safety briefing, and wonderful prayer before kickstands up at 1030am. Most riders stay at each stop about 30-minutes or so before moving on to the next one Once back to the Legion, lunch was served as part of the poker run (12-2pm). Today was pulled pork or chicken sandwiches with baked beans and coleslaw, you could add French fries for $6 more. They Legion also secured Driven, a great local band who plays Rock and some Metal; great group of talented kids!! The Legion also had a variety of baskets available we could win with a raffle ticket drawing, and second raffle where you could win the raffle-pot. Most of the time I see the winners donate the winnings right back into the American Legion, which is a great way to give back. This American Legion Post is quite spacious and is very clean. There are several pool tables and other games available. They played a lot of great music while we were here,the bar is nice and the drinks were fairly priced. I highly recommend visiting this Post if you're ever in the area, it's well worth the stop.

There's lots of cool murals on the walls, and bingo runs well. It's got a real "family" atmosphere, you can tell they all really enjoy being there. It's a great place to go and support, and we look forward to playing bingo there again!

We picked the day that the rainbow jellyfish was going to be painted. You can pick a single day, or the whole week for a discounted rate. $48 included tax, 3 hours of instruction (you send your child with water and a snack), and a huge canvas to take home at the end! There was even enough time to allow the kids to pick out a small wooden or ceramic piece to paint as well (my child chose the Christmas tree). This place is easy to find via GPS and has plenty of parking. Inside, there are many painted canvases hung up showcasing all of the beautiful artwork done in the studio. This place also does birthday parties, private events and more! My child loved the experience and we are going to hang up her artwork on the wall in her bedroom. This experience is recommended for kids aged 6-12 years.

I'm honestly baffled that the establishment is called "Painting with a Twist" because to me that insinuates there will be alcohol but I did not know this location was bring your own bottle. I've been to other paint and sip places that either provide the wine or at least have a selection to purchase. Considering that it's BYOB, I feel that the value does not match the price you pay for the class. When we arrived, the canvases were already set up and you were assigned a seat, so you did not get to chose whether you wanted to be closer to the front where the instructor was. My friend and I were placed towards the back, and although they did have TVs around that streamed the instructor live, they were a bit too small and low quality to really make out the details. I was also surprised to see the image we were painting was already draw on the canvas, which I'm sure it's for the sake of time but I personally find it more fun to be instructed step by step to create the painting from scratch. The instructions also felt a tiny bit rushed as I was struggling to keep up, but that could have just been me being too much of a perfectionist. I enjoyed that the instructor took breaks to do trivia and allow people to catch up! One of the instructors had read the books and you could tell she had a passion for Fourth Wing. I also appreciated that they came around and assisted with anyone who needed help. While our main instructor who was painting with us did a phenomenal job, I was a bit distracted by the other instructor who was on her phone every once in a while when she was not waking around assisting people with their paintings. Overall, I had fun but the experience was just ok to me, definitely not what I was expecting for paying almost $50. I was really excited for this, and a little sad that the experience feel short for me.

The two hour class went by in a flash and I left with a picture I'm quite proud of. I cant wait to go again! Our instuctor was Emma and she was awesome. She took us step by step, giving us ample time to finish each step before moving on. She also walked the room assisting wherever anyone needed. At the beginning of class we each put on an apron, Emma went over our tools (canvas, 3 paintbrushes, cup of water, paper towel, and colors...that was it!), and it was time to begin. About an hour in we were given a 15-20 min break to walk around the hotel (our class was held at Embassy Orlando), use the restroom, etc...Once class was over Emma took a picture of each of us, with our paintings, for their FB page. This is perfect for date night (while women dominated, there were guys), ladies night, birthday, etc...No food was served but drinks were on hand for purchase.

Let me start by saying that the event was sold out so the class was full. The room was loud which made it quite difficult to follow and hear the instructor. I have to say that our instructor did an great job at walking us through the different steps. She also walked around the room to help anyone who needed advice or any kind of assistance. She also gave us a 15 mins break to touch up/ finish up, refill our drinks, etc. My criticism for the class is as follows: 1) I felt that the room we had was too small for the size of the class 2) I think the seating should have been better arranged. My friend and I had our backs to the instructor making it hard to follow 3) I know paint nite is supposed to be a great time with friends but at the same time I feel it is important to respect the other participants so that they could also enjoy the experience. My overall experience was OK. I completed the painting but it didn't really look like the example because I skipped a few step, being unable to hear the instructor. I'd like to reiterate that the instructor was AWESOME and did a good job. Some of the participants were loud and it made it hard for others to enjoy.

The…read moreperformance at IKON Park is smaller than I thought, but at the same time, it had a lot of space for people. The ticket cost was relatively inexpensive for a Saturday afternoon. Parking is easy since there's surface parking as well as the parking building. The upper floors are free to park so we opted for that considering the heat of the day. Tickets originally said 4pm but the show probably started a little after, likely to include the folks trying to get in as there was a small line. There is a small concession stand if you're hungry for snacks. The show itself was amazing. There was plenty of humor involved and the amount of audience inclusion was awesome. Not too much, but just enough to keep you watching. I should add that one of my concerns was a potential splash zone, but there's nowhere to get wet or paint in this. The blue men, the rock band, the show as a whole were superb. I'd totally do this again with a group that hadn't been before.

I don't know why I never came, too expensive, the hassle of dealing with Universal, I was in a different mindset in my life and just never went, I guess. Well, my wife the event planner asked me what I wanted for my Birthday and I told her I wanted to go to the Blue Man Group, so that's just what we did. We went with a group of 20 people, some of who were also celebrating birthdays, which made the whole thing that much more fun. Tickets were $70 a pop, so it's on the pricy side. Drinks and snacks are also pricy. We purchase two Coke Zero's and it came to $14, Yay! It's super hot in FL now so be prepared to sweat a bit while waiting to get through security and standing-by inside lobby, it's a bit of a tight squeeze and can be uncomfortable when it's a mad rush to hurry-up-and-wait. You have assigned seats, and staff do a great job helping everyone find their seat. guests have a decent view of everything going on from anywhere in the audience, so not a big deal if you're not right up front. You might not want to be up front anyways especially since there is some liquids and other debris flying around during the show. I enjoyed the show, it had everything that make a show great - action, comedy, audience interaction and involvement, excellent live music, and a unique story. The show could have been better. Like my wife mentioned in her review there were times where they could have incorporated more drumming scenarios, music, or even a magic show. One of my favorite highlights from the show was the one Blue Man catching all those marshmallows in his mouth and making an art piece out of it; it was hilarious. I also got a great chuckle when they were eating the Capital Crunch cereal and making a huge mess; very memorable. If they change the show up periodically with different scenarios and skits I would come again; however, if it's the same show back-to-back, Year-over-year, I don't think I would pay the $70 to come back again. If we were to revisit, I would be on the lookout for deals or Groupon's just because It's pricey for what it is. Regardless, if you're looking for something fun to do while in Orlando, I would recommend checking them out just see if you can get a package deal with Icon Park or another discount provider.
