    Sausage sampler, awesomely done!
    Gus M.

This was a very nice place. I don't usually go to bars, but I wanted to try their whiskey list. I tried there, 12-year-old Scotch and it was alright. I tried their sausage sampler platter, and it was off the hook, as younger people say. I highly recommend this place. I am not an expert in this area, maybe at nothing, but you would like the food and drinks here.

Came to see a colleague off to her new work assignment in Washington! Order: Old Fashion Pros: nice place and huge selection of beer if you are a beer connoisseur. Im not a beer drinker. My old fashion was good but wasnt filled. Cons: I received a 1/2 glass of old fashion. Im not sure why certain places do this while charging $10+. I go to better bars and get my cup filled with less ice for the same price. Such a rip off man. Also, they didnt have a lighter to turn on the fire pit so people who were standing outside could not stay warm.

What a nice place to be able to sample beers and hang out with friends! Our local Tesla group met there and we had about 11 folks show up. We found a seat on patio between GBTH and SugarFire. The waitress came over right away and asked we had any questions. The cool thing is you can order beer from here and BBQ from SugarFire. Luckily for GBTH the group ordered both from them. The waitress was awesome. She knew all about the craft selections and could help you pin down a new one close to what you like. I decided to be different and try 5 unique (to me) beers via a flight. I also ordered the SugarFire Taco and Side Tots. The beer keep flowing to our table, food was ordered and delivered quickly, it was a seamless evening. The Tacos were good (recommended right away to another club member) and I think a lot of folks at the table got Tots and a variety of dipping sauces. The only downside was while it was late in the evening and the sun was going down folks were being blinded by the sun. Some sort of netting that breaks it up for the entire patio would have make it much more bearable. That being said, no one left the table but just sat and drank. I look forward to our next event there... and I may not wait for it and head out there on my own.

Stopped in after work to meet a friend for a drink. Very long list of beers along with an incredible on tap selection. Atmosphere was very good. Lots of TVs everywhere but still quiet enough to have a conversation without having to yell. So large of a selection of different beers, definitely a place I will go back and try some other options. I did not get a chance to try any other food but look forward to doing that next time as well.

I was visiting town and my friend took me to this Brewery on a Friday evening. I liked it a lot, lots of beer options and a small Food Menu, I had the verde Tots, they were okay, I just wished they were covered in more green sauce, The barely put sauce on them. Overall, this is a cool spot in Edwardsville, IL for sure if you're trying to do some day drinking and enjoy the weather outside with your friends or family, they have a great patio set up, live music later in the evening which was really good. Good atmosphere and friendly staff and servers.

The very underwhelming smash burger (the dark lords feast) of the month.

If it were not for the Illinois 66 Passport, I still may be oblivious. The Illinois Passport is promoting 66 businesses on the first 301 miles of the original historical Route 66. The businesses start in Chicago and come all the way down the state to Collinsville. After visiting the business, you get a stamp in your passport just like your travel passport. Stagger Inn is definitely a historical neighborhood dive bar. It's 52 years old and still going strong. It has an old wooden bar, two rooms for dining and drinking and you can see into the kitchen from a large window. The staff was friendly and provided great service. I sat at the bar and ended up chatting with all the servers as they picked up drinks for their tables. When reading the menu, I was impressed that they hand-cut their fries and hand batter the onion rings. I am definitely going back for the onion rings. This visit I did the fries as a side and they were crispy and still had the skins on the potatoes. When they placed my plate in front of me, they informed me they do not season the fries. The bartender recommended that I salt them while they were hot. Preferring pepper, I gave mine a shake of black pepper. I liked that they didn't salt the fries, since I'm trying to reduce my sodium intake. My Stagger Burger was incredibly delicious. I added, Pepper Jack Cheese and Jalapeños. They were generous with the jalapeños and left the seeds in, so the burger had a little burn to it. For me, this burger was top-notch. Stagger Inn, thanks for the stamp in my Route 66 Passport. I'll be back for Chicken Wings and Onion Rings. See you, soon.

Getting there and parking: My family, including a pre-teen, met up at Stagger in to visit with a couple of our friends. Parking was a small challenge. There is a large public lot on the same block, but it was full when I got there around 6:20pm on a Wednesday. There is minimal street parking. Luckily, I found a spot after a couple of times around the block. Walking in, you can see right away that it really is a no-frills tavern. There's not even traditional table service, though it's not exactly counter service, either. You sit down, decide what you want from the menu, walk up to the kitchen counter to place your order, and give the ticket the kitchen gives you to your server. However, the menu was much nicer than what I expected, with very fair prices! Appetizers ranged in variety from French fries and wings to fried pickles and spinach artichoke toasted ravioli, with prices ranging from around $4 to $8. Entrees included a variety of sandwiches, salads, and burgers from $4 to $8.50 or so. They even had vegetarian and pescatarian options, including a blackened tuna sandwich and a black beans burger! All three of us, including a picky pescatarian adolescent, found food we enjoyed! Beyond the food, the service staff was friendly and the bar service was adequate. In all, it was a really great place e together up with friends AND bring a kid--at 6:30 on a weeknight, at least! I would very much recommend this place to a group looking for a casual environment with good food at good prices! Atmosphere: Food selection & taste: Service: Price: I'm not sure if would be fair to give 4 starts based on the above, though, because I wasn't to rate it for what it is, not for what something else is. Overall, I give it a 4.5! Vegetarian friendly: yes (lacto-ovo)

I had the Irish Maid (St. Germain + cucumber + lemon = YES) and it was half off--just $6! We also shared a half bottle of bubbly because hydration, obviously. The food? It's basic bar fare, nothing to write home about but totally fine for snacking. The fried pickle chips were golden and crispy, and the loaded fries were covered in melty cheese and bacon--exactly what you want after a cocktail or two. The vibe is dark and cozy, with a classic Irish pub feel. Plenty of seating, TVs everywhere, and a laid-back atmosphere. Service was friendly but chill. Would I go back? 100%. It's not groundbreaking cuisine, but it's a fun, affordable spot for drinks and bites. Great for catching up with friends or kicking off a low-key night out. Tip: Come during happy hour. Beer is my drink of choice when enjoying wings and it also gave me an opportunity to try the self-serve taps. It was a winning lunch. My wings were crispy and meaty and came with both Bleu Cheese and Ranch dips. I'm not a dipper when it comes to wings, but that is a nice touch. The fries, are house-cut and still had the skins on.
