This is the best clinic I have been to in the last 25 years. My current dog has been a patient for the last 3-4 years. Through really detailed care and diagnostics, her conditions were identified and she finally got the right medications. She's also had extensive dental work which have exponentially increased her quality of life. It is evident that everyone is genuine about pet care from the moment you walk in the door. These people only care about the money, not the health of your animal. Do not I repeat do not come here. I had my boy coming here for many years and he had elevated neutrophils, and nobody did a thing when it was elevated to an extremely high point they did not even clearly say your pet is sick immediately take him to get tested in the beginning, I understand, and based upon my research that things can be settled and go unnoticed, but I could've caught it earlier. Especially when he constantly had elevated levels. I already spoke to the owner. He didn't have much to say other than he was. Sorry that now my pet is terminally ill I lost about six years of my pet's life due to their incompetence do not come here they only care about the money that's it. read more

We'll never see Dr Reeve-Newton again. He's too old, and the kind of doctor who's so old school he's not able to separate ego from medical practice. I bring my cat here for routine check-ups and any emergencies; it's a bit far for me but this is the first clinic I've ever brought my cat to. I don't think this will be my permanent go-to spot but I feel confident enough to bring my cat in to see the doctors here. The reception is nice and quick to respond through email, and when you have a sick cat you always want a fast response. I'm knocking down one star because I feel some of the charges/costs are a bit over the roof - but hey that's what pet insurance is for. Not really overly mad about vet costs/pricing it's just the reality of business, however, if it is profit over the overall well being of the animal, I would take caution and do your research! Another note to that -I wouldn't %100 recommend people to go out of their way to come here if they aren't insured by a company. I like the vet assistants/technicians as well. They are super friendly and give you tips on how to maintain the well being if your pet. One major plus for me about this clinic is that it is well staffed - there's always an appointment and time slot that works for me. While I won't be bringing my cat to come here all the time due to location - at least I know what to expect when I come here and need an emergency visit. read more

We are new in Toronto and have had several trial and errors in BC to find a good caring vet and even tried an all feline vet clinic for our two cats but TAC is the closest one to us and they are never pushy and are excellent with follow ups - everyone there loves animals and are truly caring. We see Dr. Charlene and our two cats are accustomed to her..plus, the clinic has a separate waiting area for both cats and dogs. Pricing is on par with others in the area. I also like how you can email your vet directly as part of a follow up and you can send pics to reception to see if it's worth going the clinic for (with exceptions of course). Only room for improvement is if you use a diff pet insurance company other than Trupanion and others on their list, it takes about a week before they can forward your invoice to your insurance company that it's quicker to just do it yourself and obviously it's not as convenient. read more

Really impressed by the expertise and care my pup and I received from dr Richardson. My pup developed some weird red lump on his head and I initially thought it was tick. We booked a consult with the doctor and he explained it was a tumour and recommended surgery. They also sent the sample to the lab to see if it's cancerous or benign. They managed to book me in same week and the clinic followed up continuously to make sure my dog is recovering well. Thankfully the lump was benign but still had to be removed as it was close to the eye. Prices are more than fair I paid less than $700 for everything including a free follow up. Negligent After 3 visits in 2 months to this clinic for check ups and addressing my concerns, my groomer found a tumor the size of a tennis ball. 3 physical exams and they did not check his anal glands. I had been going yo this vet for 5 years...faithfully. Before covid when you could accompany your pet, they always expressed his anal glands. Once the clinic was closed to regular visits they did not perform services as expected. I feel terrible as an owner for trusting this clinic with my dogs care. Telling me after the diagnosis that they would only examine and express his anal glands if I told them too...This even after I expressed my concerns there was something wrong. Even after diagnosis, when I called in to the vet for advise on his care...I waited 24 hours without a return call. When I called to find out why no call back. Olga tells me she removed the request from schedule because she figured things had worked out. Terrible...terrible terrible. This happened a year ago, I have had a year to calm down, reflect and discuss my experience with others. This clinic was absolutely Negligent. read more

The only clinic I will bring my cats to. Like many of us I am super protective and want the best care possible for my animals. In my spare time Im an animal rights activist so I am extremely critical and have left previous clinics after giving them a few chances. I appreciate the concise information that is relayed to me and like the straightforward approach from the frontline such as Karla and Kara. And as the frontline has to deal with all the issues including possibly abuse first, I really appreciate all the extra work they do for my animals. I'd just moved to Toronto and then went away for a few weeks...and of course my cat fell ill while I was gone. The doctors and staff at The Animal Clinic took my cat in, even though he'd never been there before. They were amazing at coordinating care with me and my pet sitters. They even let a friend visit him while he was boarding with them. Unfortunately, I ended up having to put my cat down shortly after I got home. The staff were amazing with helping me run through all the treatment options. They were so incredibly patient with me calling and stopping by to ask questions and adjust medications. They always found time to see my cat if something was happening. When it came time to accept that it was time to say goodbye, they handed it perfectly. I think they asked more questions about end of life care and the quality of life I wanted for my cat than my grandmother's medical team. They did a great job of explaining treatment options and potential outcomes and being realistic about expectations. They were kind and empathetic during difficult discussions. I spent a lot of time on the phone and in the offices over the course of several weeks and felt confident that my cat was in good hands. read more

WORST WORST WORST EVER! These people will ALWAYS tell you that they are fully booked even if you have a serious problem. They love to tell you that they can accomodate you for emergncies but that's not true. It has happened to me twice. The first time, my dog had a lung infection (and almost died). The doctor told me himself he was 'too busy' to see my dog and would see her in a week. Had I not taken her to the emergency clinic she would have died. The owner of this clinic (also a vet) assured me this would NEVER happen again after a face to face conversation. WRONG. Most recently (yesterday), I called to attempt an appointment for the same dog. Again, I expressed urgency regarding getting in as soon as possible because I could tell my dog was in pain. And again, I was told that the cilnic was 'fully booked' and that I would have to wait. I called a clinic (that is closer than the 40 minutes I would've had to drive to for the Animal clinic)that had never seen my dog before, and they saw her even though they were closing in 15 minutes!!! IMAGINE THAT. Turns out my dog has another problem that could NOT wait and was treated. I have a follow up appointment for Saturday at the *new* clinic, which is when I was told I could have an appointment at the Animal clinic but that it would be 'tight' and was it really that important. Excuse me, WHAT? The person that answers the phone is usually an administrative person with little to no training in triage-which is probably the NUMBER ONE thing the person answering the phone should be skilled in. The office manager is unsympathetic and defensive. And of course, the owner is out of the country. I am sure my request to speak with him upon his return will fall on deaf ears as well. I am a person who loves my dog like my child and this is absolutely unacceptable treatment. The staff/doctors need to WAKE UP and start servicing/scheduling appropriately. I have since called to transfer my dogs records to the clinic that actually has time to see her. I do not recommend the Animal Clinic-especially if you have a sick animal. The animal will get sicker before they decide they have time to see him/her. read more

I go to this place because I have a French Bulldog who can have unique health issues and sometimes can't follow the same run of the mill remedies. I have heard of horror stories where these dogs were mis-diagnosed and created even more problems. This place is run by Dr. John Reeve-Newson, who (wink wink), used to breed french bulldogs. I have been going there since he was a pup and will keep going back. From the laser neutering to a free visit, I just feel very comfortable going there. The free visit was because we were only in the office for like 10 mins for a problem that the Dr said to just let it run its course. The other times have been regular checkups. I find they are good at telling you what you need and what you can go without. My comparison is more towards other emergency places (which I've been to), and you just don't get the same vibe. At this place I really feel like Dr. John cares about the dog's well being and cares about the owners to not gouge them. The pricing? Well I can't do too many comparisons because I'm only used to there and the emergency vets, but $80 for a wellness checkup seems reasonable. read more

A great place to take your small animal to for veterinary care; I felt that they are very capable and invested in your animal's health. The only reason I knocked off a star is because the vet I've been coming to for years has moved from this location and it would have been nice to get a phone call or email alerting me to this fact so that I could continue to see her at her new location, rather than figure out who to see now at the Animal Clinic. I ended up seeing another of their vets who was just as capable, but as with human doctors, when they shutter their practice or move, you get notification, and I think they should do this for their vets as well as a courtesy measure rather than you be surprised when you call and they are no longer working there. They also sell high quality vet food if your animal needs a special diet. read more

This is a high-end clinic with good facilities including the ability to do laser surgery. They do tend to recommend more than bare-bones care, including full blood work before procedures such as spaying. This is reflected in their prices, which are definitely on the high side. All the vets and staff I've dealt with have been very nice, and the care my cats have gotten has been excellent. The waiting area is large, and there are separate areas for dogs and cats, which is nice. You're offered a coffee when you arrive. I've never had trouble getting an appointment at a time convenient for me. My cats are young and healthy and I've only been going to this vet for a year, so I don't have a lot of experience with them, but I'm happy with them so far and would recommend them - especially if you have pet insurance that helps cover the fees. They submit the claims directly to the insurance company for you, which is a nice touch. read more

We like the Animal Clinic, where we have taken my dog for nearly three years since we adopted her. We were recommended to this vet as being responsive and reasonably priced when compared other vets in the area. After three years and my recent experience, I have concerns about the continuity of care my dog is receiving. This is a large facility with many vets and I have rarely seen the same vet or technician twice in three years. We just had our rather stoic dog tested for urinary tract infection after six months of what seemed like behavioural issues with urinating in the house infrequently (as compared to never before). She is getting older, but we figured we had better rule it out. After finding bacteria in her urine, the vet recommended a course of antibiotics. Had she been paying attention, the vet would have realized that our pet had been on broad spectrum antibiotics within the past six months following dental surgery, and that the urination in the house started shortly after she finished them. The likeliest explanation is that the dental surgery antibiotics killed most of the bacteria in her urogenital area - good and bad - leaving only bad, resistant bacteria which then caused an infection. Naturally, I am concerned about the only option presented, which is more antibiotics. The vet I spoke with is unable or unwilling to recommend alternatives to help build up the good bacteria in her bladder again. Rather, we will add in another bacterial culture to ensure we know what kind of bacteria we are treating in order to be more accurate with the choice of antibiotics. Between the initial consult, the urine sample, the culture, the antibiotics, the second culture needed to confirm the success of treatment, and probiotics that she will need after this to regain her good gut bacteria, my dog's treatment for this infection will total more than $700. And we don't know that it will work, given the suspected origin of the issue. While I feel that the vet I spoke with honestly cannot do any better than to rely on tests and chemicals to treat my dog, I would be interested in finding a vet with more and broader knowledge, concern for continuity of care, and a respect for (rather than an entitlement to) my hard-earned money. My dog is lucky we can afford the treatment her vet is recommending. Please send recommendations for more knowledgeable, caring vets. While this vet is accessible and the staff are friendly, I want to do what is best for my dog. read more

Bonnie - my boxer and I are new in Toronto and we needed a vet. I searched online and this place seems to be a one of the best in Toronto. Also one of the ladies I met in dog parks told me that she goes there for 13 years now and highly recommends it. So we made an appointment - which was a bit hard due to their service being down and went there on wednesday. They were really nice. They gave bonnie a treat as soon as we walked in. Vet named John, really nice elderly man helped us and I am incredibly happy with them. I don't know the prices in toronto but it cost me about 260 $ (tax inc.) for a check-up, urine test and medicine. They will be my vet from now on for sure! read more

Scam artists. The exact kind of clinic that gives some vets a bad name. This was our first experience with this clinic, as we moved uptown and further away from our old vet (who we will now be returning to, regardless of the commute) and this one is close to our new condo. We took our dog to this clinic to find out whether or not she had an ear infection and left with a $500 bill. The staff took advantage of the fact that we weren't in the room with them due to COVID-19 restrictions and administered additional unnecessary services. When I called they simply said the services had been rendered so they would not refund any of the bill. They gave us 0 indication that any of this was happening and just came back with the bill (also note that I also did not see the bill before paying because I couldn't enter the clinic, they just took my card and returned with the receipt). Furthermore, we purchased heartworm/tick medication from them and found out upon receiving the bill that they had marked it up $50 from what we were quoted at our other vet for the exact same product. read more

I'm a first time pet/dog owner and the service and care that I and my puppy get here makes me feel like one of the family. You'd expect that I have endless questions and concerns and The Animal Clinic is never too busy to answer them. They've been wonderful with my little guy and he loves going back there. They're careful and will always err on the side of caution-wouldn't any professional? They do timely and regular check-ups and are always quick to remind for any upcoming shots, treatments, or updates. They accept pet insurance and do all the paperwork for you. It certainly helps with some of the costs. They also do boarding, we haven't used their boarding facilities yet, but will keep you updated if and when! read more

I wanted to share my experiences because I think it would be helpful for others. My dog was bitten in the eye by a pet ball python that had escaped his tank. I had to find a vet on very short notice. Dr. Richardson was kind enough to accommodate an emergency walk-in. He was very thorough and I appreciated his candidness and professionalism throughout the process. He did not try to upsell anything we did not require. Luckily Max's eye had no scratches or serious issues, and Dr.Richardson suggested a simple antibiotic eye drop to ensure it would not become infected. We brought with us eye drops prescribed by another vet (Max had run through a bush and scratched his eye the year before) and inquired if that could be used for this situation. He was more than okay with us using the medication we had rather than recommending or insisting that we purchase medication from this clinic. I would recommend Dr.Richardson to anyone who is looking for a vet that is not only great at what he does but also genuinely cares for your pets. read more

I had a great experience at The Animal Clinic. My kitty and I saw Dr.Richmond and he was very friendly and thorough. He was also very patient with my adventurous cat, who was trying desperately to get into every cupboard and drawer. I've seen my share of both good and bad vets over the year's and I found Dr. Richmond to be very clear about the best course of action without feeling like I was being pushed into unnecessary purchases. In fact he talked me out of a couple more expensive options. I took my cat in after being told to get in the same day would be 120 charge for an emergency. I was then informed of 3 xrays that would total almost 500 dollars. When I mentioned being between pay cheques, they then told me I couldn't afford the ongoing treatment for my animal...I can...and that having an animal is a luxury I walked out, went to Blue Cross where I was charged 300 for a visit, xrays and steroids. This clinic is top of the line but pricey and Dr. Wong sells by making you feel bad which is not nice. i looked into buying revolution online and of course can't get it in canada without vet but it's half the price if u can get someone from u.k. or u.s. to ship it too u. I saw Dr. John once and I think I will go back to him. he told me different things then dr. wong like ways to prevent having a $3g surgury on one leg than a yr after that $3g on the other leg ass small breeds have bad back legs do to jumping. Dr. john was truthful and told me to see i chiro cause surgury is last option. if you need a chiro i suggest dr. rosenberg (i think that's his name) on dundas west, he goes to woofstock in june every yr so get a free assessment there, he is expensive but worth it. read more

Okay, update--the post-surgery followup was over-the-top amazing. They called the next day to check how the incision was healing and when I mentioned the cat hadn't been eating, they booked me in for a complimentary visit the next night so they could check on her, in addition to the regularly scheduled followup appointment a week later. The Animal Clinic is a really great pet hospital and I've had nothing but good experiences here. My boyfriend and I had adopted two kittens after moving downtown and decided that The Animal Clinic would be the best place to take them. On our first visit, they did all the preliminary checkups, did the vaccinations that we approved and didn't push anything that we were not comfortable with (we did not want all of the vaccinations because we live in a small apartment and they would not ever be getting the chance to go outside or interact with other unvaccinated animals), they even charged us for only one stool sample instead of two though we do have two cats. Our vet was even good natured enough to laugh and wasn't the least bit upset when our more curious kitten unplugged his keyboard, and stomped around his computer area. We had both kittens spayed/neutered here. They were scheduled to get spayed/neutered at the same time, but when the bloodwork came through, we found out that our female cat had a liver problem. They immediately called us, to let us know that they would be continuing with our male cat's neutering and allowed us to ask any questions. Being that these are our first pets, both my partner and I were on the phone asking questions several times before even going back to pick them up. When we did go back to the office to pick up the kittens, we found out that they had put our female cat in the cage with our male cat so that he would have company and wouldn't be upset while he was recovering. They also fed our female cat as she hadn't eating since the day before (fasting for surgery). The vet sat with us for 45 minutes, answering every question we had and showing us how to pill our female cat. When it came time to have our female cat spayed, we weren't charged for her blood test (it was a follow up to assure that her medication had worked). She did accidentally get her ear clipped during sugery as she is extremely fussy and refused to wear her body sock, but when we picked her up, we got apologies from every one of the staff. Overall, as a young couple with two new cats, we had a lot of questions, all which were answered in full detail. The vets and technicians are very very kind and patient. read more

My boyfriend and I adopted 2 cats from the Humane Society this summer. They were a bit overweight and we wanted them to get a check up when we first got them. I am a first time cat owner, and after examining them the vet patiently demonstrated how to trim their paws and gave us weight-reducing advice (for the cats. Lol). She even suggested a great way to get the crate-hating one back into her crate when time to leave. All of the staff were very friendly, and we felt very welcome there. We will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Update: Removed a star when I realized how much more expensive they are compared to other vets. (A lot). read more

The first time I took my cat to this clinic, he was examined by a young woman vet, and then taken away to be given his shots. I had never had my pet taken away from me at a clinic before, and I didn't like it, but couldn't do anything it happened so fast. When he was returned to me he immediately soiled his carrier - something he had never done before, or since. On that visit, I was given an unsigned vaccine certificate, which is useless if you want to travel with your pet internationally. The answer I was given when I called about the unsigned certificate was that I would have to ASK for a signed certificate before leaving the clinic, as if signing a vaccination form has a degree of difficulty instead of being proforma standard practice. I decided to give the clinic another chance today, 5 years later, because it is conveniently close. Alas, another epic failure on the part of this clinic. It never occurred to their staff to tell people when they are booking an appointment that they are operating as a closed clinic. This means owners cannot go inside with their pets. Experience teaches and it appears these veterinarians are too afraid to treat animals in the presence of their owners. As a pet owner, I have information about my pet's behavior, eating, evacuating, exercise, and sleeping habits. Being present during a consultation of my pet's health, or annual shots and checkup is my right to ensure my pet isn't frightened, mistreated or abused behind closed doors.This clinic has sub-optimal vets and technicians, with rude and lazy staff. There are better vets, better clinics, and better value for the money given the sub-optimal service they provide. I may have to wait a few days longer, and pay a fraction more to have my old veterinarian who now does house calls attend to my pet, rather than deal with this clinic's despotic and irrational practices. After reading some of the other recent reviews, it appears this clinic is deliberately exploiting pet owners during the pandemic by not allowing them into the clinic while they treat the animal, charging whatever they want for services the owner can't verify, and essentially holding the pet hostage until the owner pays up. I don't object to paying for good service. Don't expect it at this cash-grabbing horror show. read more

I've been coming to the animal clinic for over six years, and I see Matthew Richardson. I have a Havanese who has had multiple health problems over the years, and Matthew has been nothing but kind, compassionate, empirically-based, and great about problem-solving. I really feel well-cared for. My dog had shoulder surgery recently, and did day boarding with the animal clinic. They really went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable, even helping to try different foods (unprompted by me) to help him to eat when he had a very poor appetite. I have seen several vets during my dog's lifetime and the care at the animal clinic is stellar! I've seen John Reeve-Newsom as well, and think he is very good too. On a final note, the place is COMPLETELY friendly to queer/LBGT clients, which is just the cherry on the cake. I cannot say enough good things about the animal clinic! read more

This is a wonderful vets office. We're living in Toronto temporarily from the States, and my kitty was really sick and we didn't have a vet. The overnight emergency vet was going to charge me a fortune and they still weren't really sure what was wrong. We waited til the morning and the Animal Clinic diagnosed him and he was better a few days later after the medicine kicked in. The man at the front desk is also very pleasant and helpful. Just got a new puppy in December and brought him to the Animal Clinic because it was close and because my 2 best friends brought their pets there as well. What a great experience. You can tell they truly love pets. We use the day care facilities and have had all of our new puppies checks and surguries (poor thing is getting neutered today). Poor young kitten - suffered for 5 days; given the wrong medication; they forgot to put him on pain meds; they were "too busy" (as I was told later) to get the tests done that I had ASKED to pay for to ensure we determined the severity of his condition and appropriate recovery; $8000 later, I had watched my baby suffer for 5 days and then horrifically die. The vet who had been taking care of him had left on vacation; no notes were updated in the record that indicated anything we discussed or my wish to have him on pain meds and for the blood test and x-rays to be done; a technician admitted to not realizing another tech had already given him a dose and that it was doubled up. Free coffee in the waiting room and smiling customer-friendly staff are for YOU, the owner. It's the animals that need the care and attention. Focusing on expanding the clinic's client base instead of on the care of the animals that are there needing urgent help is not what any vet or technician should have signed up for. There is a certain standard of care they need to provide, and I am so so sorry that I trusted them (fully trusted them - I thought they were the best clinic ever - foolishly thinking all of the bells and whistles meant they were knowledgeable and competent - recommended many people here) and that my poor baby suffered so much. He had a good 10 years left so it is very unfortunate that vacations and "being really busy in that particular week" means he had to suffer. The only phone call I got the day he died was "you still owe us money". No explanation, apology, or any sympathy. When I asked for the records they didn't want to show me (sketchy); then after demanding they went to the back room and took 15 minutes to get me the copy (they clearly altered the records - since the flow of the details and tone shifted between sentences and you could see where data had been inserted). Please animal lovers, do not put your babies through suffering - please do not take them here. I couldn't wish on any animal the pain I watched my kitten go through. read more

If you are a true animal lover, I would NOT recommend this vet. I always thought by paying a premium I would ensure the best care for my beloved puppy, but as a pet owner you have to realize that the overly (fake) friendly front desk/technicians along with the added touch of coffee/tea and clean/fancy looking facilities is all for YOU, the human; not the pet. All focus and energy should be placed on the pet being taken care of, not the human owner. My puppy had to stay overnight as he stopped eating and seemed to be in pain. When they admitted him for his overnight stay I offered to pay whatever money is necessary to do EVERY test possible (to figure out what is wrong with him). They were being nice, saying they wanted to save me money and would only do tests that are necessary (at the time, I appreciated this and somehow it gained my confidence that they knew what they were doing and were there to help). The next day when I called to checkup on the puppy and asked standard questions they notified me that he had no in fact been put on painkillers as the vet said he would, as she forgot and went on vacation. When I asked if he had used the bathroom (this was at 10AM) they said they had not been able to check yet because they were very busy (I think an animal in overnight care should have priority to be checked on compared to those guests who are in for grooming, boarding, etc). The vet who went on vacation also failed to leave any notes on his case, and the replacing vet was not up to date on his problems and tests. My puppy died the next day without warning and without a diagnoses. He was only 2 years old and had been healthy up until that point, so I do not know what the vets & technicians did/didn't do, but none of it was right. The worst part is knowing he didn't get the pain meds he was supposed to have because of negligence in someone wanting to rush out for vacation. There are other specific details that I witnessed while visiting him and another technician was willing to tell me about regarding this negligence of the case (their excuse was that they were so short staffed in the summer with people taking vacations), but I do not want to share the details as I have opened a case with CVO to ensure that this awful treatment of an animal does not happen again. read more

Truly amazing people who love what they do! It is very clear that they have great hiring practices. Everyone who works there has a great attitude and clearly loves animals. I used to take my dog to the Queen West Animal Hospital, but when I moved to the Church and Wellesley neighbourhood, I decided to look for a vet closer to home. I did some research and found The Animal Clinic. I sent them an email looking for information, and the vet clinic manager immediately responded to me, and invited me in for a tour/consultation. At the end of August I decided to bring my dog in to be spayed. We went for a consultation, and she had her procedure done about a week later. I was very happy with the treatment that she received. The staff is friendly and helpful, the clinic is clean and spacious, and it is handy for me to walk to. The price for the procedure was comparable to that which I was quoted at Queen West ($505 for a mature dog spay done by laser surgery) I will be bringing my dog in next week to have her stitches removed but for now have been happy with my experience at the Animal Clinic. read more

I've been a customer of the Animal Clinic since 1986. I have always paid my bills when they were given to me, and thought they were the best until this past week. My 14 year old cat became impacted and I took her into her vet on December 9 2013. I was up front with them and said that right now I couldn't afford xrays but I could afford the exam and an enema. Dr. John took her back did a digital exam returned and said he could feel the poop stuck in there however before he would do anything he would need to take xrays because she was stocky and they couldn't tell by feeling her if there was just poop in there. I said no and asked for an enema and was told no unless I paid the money for the xrays. I went home with my cat who is 14 and waited I watched her strain trying to defecate to no avail..she was so bad she was standing on the side of the litter trying to stretch her back out for it. I called the clinic the next day and spoke with Mathew. He too told me that I had to get xrays before they could do anything. He also referred to me as a frugal pet owner...I am by no means cheap. I have to feed my pets and myself, pay for our housing and put gas into the car so that I can get to work. This time as well he told me to give the cat two heaping quarter of a teaspoon of laxatives and that might work. They took turns calling me everyday to see how Spot was. The last call came while I was at work on the 17...this is day 8 of the cat not being able to poop. They were still refusing to do anything unless I said yes to xrays. They haven't called to check on her since then. Today on the 20th she stopped eating. I called another vet who took her right away. They didn't need xrays they could feel what they said was a log of poop inside her while they were palpitating her stomach. I left her there for three hours. I came back and found they had given her 2 enemas which apparently would have helped my cat if they had been given to her days before. She now has some pills to take as well that will shrink and help the bowel muscles which were strained and stretched because the Animal Clinic would do nothing unless I said yes to the xrays. I'm now home with my cat not knowing if she's going to live or die because of the direct inaction of the Animal Clinic. What once was a caring top of the line place to take my animals since 1986 has now turned into a place where only the rich are accepted and if you're not willing or able to shell out the money your animals will suffer. read more

My pets (cat and dog) and I have been going to this place until recently... Here is why... My BF and I started to realize that this place will do its best to get all your money even if it's not necessary. My dog had eaten a granola bar. We called the vet to ask what we needed to do to make sure that all is good. The manager- Alda, had almost screamed on the phone- " you have to bring her in immediately for stomach flushing!!!!". So we did. As soon as my BF arrived she wouldn't get off the phone, ummm, where's the urgency now? Over $500 later we find out from another vet that nothing bad would have happened at all except for some indigestion. It's only when such things as chocolate can be harmful due to high sugar levels and a danger of your pet having a heart attack. This is the vet that we go to now... All in all, I think that this place will feed you information because you love your pet and will do anything to have him/her healthy and they will take advantage of that. They will make your pet get shots that are not really required and run tests that are unnecessary and their prices are really high comparing to other places for such services as pets simple physical examination etc. I don't doubt the skills and experience of all these doctors but I think that their overall agenda is not purely focused on your pet's health only...It's also on your wallet... read more
