I picked Leo after reading his reviews here on Yelp. He replied to my inquiry, set up an…read moreappointment and came to look at our LG dishwasher that had been making a strange noise. Within minutes he was able to diagnose the problem, He told me he would look up the cost of the part and get back to me. It wasn't 2 hours later he texted me a price. It was during this time that I realized that it was still under warranty and while on the phone with LG, was texting with Leo to ask questions. I was able to get him set up to be able to order the part from LG for free under our warranty. It took a couple days, but he stayed in contact with me and after a few days of waiting, informed that the part had arrived. We scheduled a time for him to install and he came this morning to do the job. He was quick and efficient and it was about 35 mins and the job was complete. The dishwasher sounds like it did before and we can't be happier with the job. He charged us for his time only, just as we discussed. I hope I don't have to call him again for something else broken, but if I do, won't hesitate. Also, I plan to also share his info with anyone I know who needs an appliance fixed. A true and honest repairman- so rare to find these days. Call him, you won't be disappointed!

However, the issue is that the quoted replacement part was extremely high, and the quoted labor cost for replacement covered about one hour of work. I guess that the "free" diagnosis won't be free after all if I followed up and agreed to proceed. Speaking of time, the replacement part is no longer available new anywhere, and if I had bought a correct replacement, it would take less than 10 minutes to replace it. The alternative repair was done by me/DIY by following a YouTube video, and no parts were required.

When the technician Joe showed up at my house the next day he stunk like a cigarette. He preceded to take pictures of the serial number on the appliance. In conversation I told him that the same Kitchen Aid microwave that I have is currently 499.00 dollars at Lowes . He then told me with out doing any diagnoses that the repair was going to be 450.00 dollars so I was better off just buying a new microwave. He also said nowadays the microwaves that they manufacture are throwaways and that when they go bad you throw them out and replace them with a new one. Now if that is the case why didn't the gentleman on the phone when I called them explain that to me. It seems to me they just wanted the 121.00 dollar service call fee that I paid them. Ironically I looked up on line the prices of the switches and they were 24.99 each. I also took apart the control panel and cleaned the switches and now the microwave door switches work fine. I also wanted to add that we used Georges appliance repair in the past and we had no issues. So we were not a first time customer. Day 2 mid afternoon rolled around (no Sears update)--came across Cupo Appliance Repair's number on-line. Called to see if I could establish a back-up plan. Immediately was connected to a human being (Joe) who was not only knowledgeable in what likely was the issue with our dryer, but had the parts on hand (OMG, right?), was able to provide an estimate of costs, and said you will have a working dryer by the end of the day (insert the sound of angels singing). We then scheduled service for 4 p.m. Called Joe back to confirm Sears cancelled again and shortly Joe was on his way to our home. Dryer was fixed in no time flat, he even helped us with a cabinet door. Communication has been extremely poor -- our calls are ignored, and when we do receive responses, they appear to be automated AI-generated messages rather than actual customer support. What makes this even more frustrating is that this company was recommended by Miele Coffee as a certified Miele technician. For the amount charged, we expected professional service and competent repairs. Instead, nothing has been fixed correctly. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend avoiding this company!!!!
