My go to is tomato bisque soup and the gourmet grilled cheese. The Cobb salads are delicious too -- and a signature dish is Shrimp & Grits. When we were there, a server had called in sick and Tracy was running in and out trying to keep up - she did a great job! The museum is outstanding - the staff very welcoming and friendly. The exhibits are excellent and the displays highlight the work. Self-guided tours are no problem - as many placards provide insights. The grounds - simply beautiful. Definitely recommend a visit!

The museum was having a plant market right in front of the museum a few weeks ago and that's what…read moredrew me into coming here. The vendor I bought from told me that it was free that day to go into the museum and Gardens so my family and I decided to look at the beautiful garden to welcome spring. Sadly, we didn't have time to explore the inside of the museum, but that will be for next time. The garden is absolutely stunning and breathtaking with a plethora of colors and the river in the back it's just so pretty. I loved how you could just walk around and see the different parts of the garden and then stand by the river as well. They had super unique flowers. I especially loved the ones that looked like little red lanterns and I loved all the beautiful trees. I was so happy to come here and I loved that they had a little plant market that drew you in to come and actually check out the garden. I can't wait to go back and explore the museum and make a whole day out of it. You definitely need to add this to your list if you haven't gone yet.

The NoCo Center is an event center/venue in downtown Jacksonville. This is where the Beyond…read moreVanGogh and Beyond King Tut immersive experiences could be seen. It is a lovely building. I didn't know it existed until my son and I went to enjoy the VanGogh immersive experience. But I guess that is because the building was transformed. I was surprised to learn the NoCo Center used to be the 3rd largest church in the country. WOW...what a transformation! Of course, we went back to enjoy the King Tut immersive experience as well. I can't wait to see what is next! There is a parking garage directly across from the center. Moreover, you can park in your favorite place downtown and just walk if you so desire. Not to mention you can park elsewhere, ride the Skyway, and walk. There are restrooms inside, but not inside the event itself...so use it before. There is a place to buy a cocktail or whatever after you check in if you wish. Plus, there is a bar at the end of the event if you wish to chill out, have a drink and discuss the event. Moreover, both events we attended had a very nice gift shop set up at the end. The price depends on the experience you desire and you will have to refer to the event website for this information. The NoCo Center is owned by Corner Lot, which is an independent and privately-owned real estate development firm in North Florida and they are making some great changes to Jacksonville. Go to their website to check them out: https://www.cornerlotdevelopment.com/ Oh My Gosh...what an amazing view they have for Jacksonville and they are preserving history as well. I can't wait to see what's next! Woo Hoo! In the meantime, if the Corner Lot folks in charge of bringing immersive experiences to the NoCo center are reading this...please bring some "different" immersive experiences here.
