There are classes for both younger and older kids, as well as adults. 5 stars cause my son, who wouldn't take direction/criticism from anyone and wouldn't even do the class projects when he took art classes elsewhere. That kid had obviously learned shading and is putting it into his own drawings at home. Idk how the teacher, Mr Bob, did it, but I appreciate it.

That might be true, except if it is a defective product and is no longer carried, the customer is out of luck. I bought $250 worth of yarn for my church prayer shawl group. 2 of the skeins I wanted to return because the product did not knit well. I used half of one and did not try to return it. The fibers came untwisted and stretched where another color was inserted to make the confetti effect. They refused to take them other two back, because it is no longer carried. My guess is it was discontinued due to this problem! So instead of refunding $7 or allowing me to get 2 different skeins, they made an unhappy customer. Not exactly good for a store that professes Christian values. Michael's is right across the street!

Some yarn I use is exclusively Michaels brand and frustrated when I can't find it. I'm out of 2 colors to finish a project. The app showed it in stock. I went to go get it and Not at all surprised the bins were almost empty and the colors I need were not there. Knowing the overstock is kept in the lower bin- I pulled it open to see if there was some (keep in mind it showed in stock). An employee came up and snapped Can I help you? Asked me if I" even bothered to look to see if it's on the shelf" - and if I want something she will scan and check. All of these are all acceptable comments but the tone and volume were not appropriate. I'm not a child. She could have offered to help without being accusing- I did not respond respectfully and for that I'm sorry but-- do better......

Love stopping in to Joann and having my fabrics custom cut. They have a variety of different…read moretextures, patterns and prints. I personally go and enjoy buying spandex/ polyester materials to make hair wraps with. They work wonders with trying to match them with certain outfits and finding the right material that won't dry your hair. My locs absolutely love the breathable, stretchable material. It forms over all of my hair without feeling too tight, or rubbing too much around my edges. The other plus is if you have your fabrics custom cut you can choose the length to meet your desired needs. Fabrics however can be costly at times depending on what you desire. But my head wraps normally last for over a year, or if not longer and I think they're totally worth the money. I also enjoy visiting Joann's to purchase materials to make jewelry. They have a wide variety of sections of different beads, crystals, pendants, everything you need to make the perfect handmade jewelry. They also carry super cool books you can use to help your creative flow. Joann is also known to have coupons to help you save a few more coins! Pictures coming soon!

They almost always have what I want in stock. The bad: there is ALWAYS a line for fabric cutting. It's usually a few people long. The line to checkout is usually long. They need more staff, at least one to two more people. Why I choose Jo Ann over Hobby Lobby or Michaels: Michaels is depressing, no one ever seems happy there. The store is in shambles. Everything is overpriced. Hobby Lobby's stance on refusing to provide birth control on their health care plan is appalling. They don't have any better selection than Jo Ann, nor are their prices better. So I choose not to spend my money at a place that refuses to give basic health care to their employees.

This time I was in need of wire to keep a wooden fence closed shut, as the gate would frequently open due to weather conditions or kids having fun. My concern was keeping the fence gate closed so we could let our dog out in the yard without concerns about her escaping from an open gate. Andrew listened to me carefully and helped me through the whole process of selecting wire and a lock to ensure my dog would be safe. I really appreciated that he was professional, practical and helpful. Thank you Andrew! I truly love this store and find the customer service far superior to what you would encounter at one of the major big box home improvement stores. I have also found their prices to be fair. Even a simple foam gardening kneeling pad was nearly 20 bucks for something that looks like it would be sold at a dollar store! Local hardware stores have always been a treasure, in my opinion, but these huge prices hikes make it much harder to shop here - unless it's an emergency or something small like a random nut or bolt.

I made a purchase and was leaving when this lady chased me down and told me that they dont open untill 10. "Dont come in earlier". Wow! I'll still buy stuff from my friend but that's it. After Ohio Ceramic Supplies closed in Kent, I had to find another place close to get my pottery supplies. I found the Art Supply Depo and I was amaze of their service. They sill go out of their way to make sure you get what you need. Jules is always helpful for any advice. I recommend them for all art needs. read more

I was thrilled to find a place for a single mom on a limited budget to shop for clothes and toys that were affordable...usually less than half the original sticker price. I was able to provide clothes and toys for many years thanks to your business. Fast forward to March 2025. I now have 3 granddaughters. We watch them every other weekend. My spouse and I are both disabled and back on a limited budget, which I never thought I'd be at the age of 50 after working in the corporate world for 20 years. I thought - hey...we just moved back to this side of town, I can shop for the girls at Once Upon a Child! NOPE. Won't do it now OR EVER!!! Imagine my surprise when I went to the size 12 section for girls and found an adorable white tank top with some brown and tan butterflies on it --- something I would expect to pay a couple dollars for at a SECOND HAND SHOP. NOPE - $6.00. I thought maybe it was a mistake so I looked at the very next white tank top that was plain white...with the top of the front with frilly material. $4.00. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? I worked in negotiations...maybe these are opening prices....maybe? I went up to the counter and asked if the prices were negotiable. I was told, only if there is obvious damage. Well, no damage to those shirts...other than Once Upon a Child wanting to rip off customers. I am extremely disappointed in what this business has become. Maybe it's because the location borders on Sylvania/Toledo that as a business you think it is okay to charge these prices? Maybe it's because your business model has changed and instead of trying to serve a population that lives paycheck to paycheck you are now more interested in profit? Let's just say that I will take my business elsewhere, probably to the actual stores that sell those items brand new for the price you are charging for used...or even less. My wife was looking at some stuffed animals close by. She picked one up and pour it back. The lady behind the register comes over takes a picture of the shelf that my wife had picked up the stuffed animal from. And yes we saw the picture on her phone.
