Come here all the time have never had a bad experience but today I walked around for 15 minutes…read morelooking for a fine/medium grit sanding sponge, finally went up front and asked the woman who was working and she gave me the most odd directions to find it, headed to the back of the store anyways in hopes of finally finding it, looked around for about 10 more minutes still nothing, ran into another worker and asked for the same thing hoping she would show me to the item, she proceeds to say she does not know where they are but would assume they are in the wood section, told her I just looked for a while and couldn't find them, still had no clue as to where they are. So I'm just left wondering what happened to good customer service, I would expect someone to direct me if I cannot find an item but no one seemed to know anything about this product. Some yarn I use is exclusively Michaels brand and frustrated when I can't find it. I'm out of 2 colors to finish a project. The app showed it in stock. I went to go get it and Not at all surprised the bins were almost empty and the colors I need were not there. Knowing the overstock is kept in the lower bin- I pulled it open to see if there was some (keep in mind it showed in stock). An employee came up and snapped Can I help you? Asked me if I" even bothered to look to see if it's on the shelf" - and if I want something she will scan and check. All of these are all acceptable comments but the tone and volume were not appropriate. I'm not a child. She could have offered to help without being accusing- I did not respond respectfully and for that I'm sorry but-- do better......

Love stopping in to Joann and having my fabrics custom cut. They have a variety of different…read moretextures, patterns and prints. I personally go and enjoy buying spandex/ polyester materials to make hair wraps with. They work wonders with trying to match them with certain outfits and finding the right material that won't dry your hair. My locs absolutely love the breathable, stretchable material. It forms over all of my hair without feeling too tight, or rubbing too much around my edges. The other plus is if you have your fabrics custom cut you can choose the length to meet your desired needs. Fabrics however can be costly at times depending on what you desire. But my head wraps normally last for over a year, or if not longer and I think they're totally worth the money. I also enjoy visiting Joann's to purchase materials to make jewelry. They have a wide variety of sections of different beads, crystals, pendants, everything you need to make the perfect handmade jewelry. They also carry super cool books you can use to help your creative flow. Joann is also known to have coupons to help you save a few more coins! Pictures coming soon!

They almost always have what I want in stock. The bad: there is ALWAYS a line for fabric cutting. It's usually a few people long. The line to checkout is usually long. They need more staff, at least one to two more people. Why I choose Jo Ann over Hobby Lobby or Michaels: Michaels is depressing, no one ever seems happy there. The store is in shambles. Everything is overpriced. Hobby Lobby's stance on refusing to provide birth control on their health care plan is appalling. They don't have any better selection than Jo Ann, nor are their prices better. So I choose not to spend my money at a place that refuses to give basic health care to their employees.
