There are so many options with any medium & every item is clearly carefully chosen to have the best quality materials for the price. He's taking the drawing class for 4-6th grade. There are classes for both younger and older kids, as well as adults. 5 stars cause my son, who wouldn't take direction/criticism from anyone and wouldn't even do the class projects when he took art classes elsewhere. That kid had obviously learned shading and is putting it into his own drawings at home. Idk how the teacher, Mr Bob, did it, but I appreciate it.

The class was a perfect balance of relaxed fun and skill acquisition. Sarah kept the pace in the sweet spot for everyone, and is very encouraging and enthusiastic. Some yarn I use is exclusively Michaels brand and frustrated when I can't find it. I'm out of 2 colors to finish a project. The app showed it in stock. I went to go get it and Not at all surprised the bins were almost empty and the colors I need were not there. Knowing the overstock is kept in the lower bin- I pulled it open to see if there was some (keep in mind it showed in stock). An employee came up and snapped Can I help you? Asked me if I" even bothered to look to see if it's on the shelf" - and if I want something she will scan and check. All of these are all acceptable comments but the tone and volume were not appropriate. I'm not a child. She could have offered to help without being accusing- I did not respond respectfully and for that I'm sorry but-- do better......

Yes, I have paper but anyone who crafts knows that sometimes you need just the right shade to make the whole thing look fabulous. I'm a regular shopper at Michael's especially since A) Joann Fabrics has closed and B) I hate hobby lobby and only shop there if I absolutely have no other choice. This location is extremely well stocked, full of awesome stuff and very busy. They have the usual fanfare of crafting stuff, but for some reason it really was a more than pleasant time here for my shopping needs. Stores very clean and organized, stuff is mostly easy to locate and they have decent coupons if you look online before you go. Micheals are usually in good working order, but whomever is running this store clearly does an amazing job of keeping it together. I like that they have the self checkout kiosks because, like today, I just had a few sheets of paper and probably could have checked myself out but stood in line because it was hot and I was tired. Overall fantastic experience. One of the best Micheals I've been to in a long time!
