The atmosphere is very appealing and all of the employees that I made contact with were all extremely friendly. Mae did a fantastic job on my hair and we made plans for my next visit. I would not reccommend this place. Everyone that works there was nice, and some of the stylists are very talented. I went in for a cut and wanted some highlights and dimension for my hair. I trusted the stylist to decide what to do to get results like the picture I showed her, because she is the professional, not me. She picked balayage, which was fine, but my hair ended up looking nothing at all like I wanted, all one flat color, and my cut was uneven. I called the next day to ask what they could do (I was very nice and apologetic because I hate complaining but 175 dollars is a lot of money to be unhappy). They told me to come in and someone would fix it. I asked both the receptionist and the stylist if lightening my hair two days in a row would be bad, because I really didn't want dry frizzy hair. Both assured me it would not be a problem at all. The second stylist did a great job, but even as she was washing my hair she said "you are probably going to want to use hair masks because your hair is going to be dry now". Lo and behold, it's about a week later, and though the color is closer to what I wanted, my hair is a dry matted mess, the cut is still uneven, and I'm out 200 dollars. I trusted them, twice. It was a huge mistake. They have good stylists I'm sure. If you know exactly what you want and know which stylist you can trust, I'm sure this place is fine. But Do Not trust them otherwise, because they will stretch the truth to get more money out of you. I'm incredibly disappointed, but I'm not going back a third time to get the cut fixed, because I'm worried it will be even worse. The correct course of action would've been to apologize and give me a partial refund, not ruin my hair and hope I wouldn't notice I also realized in hindsight that one should not tip immediately after an appointment. I should've gotten the first girls Venmo and tipped later. Because of how short my hair was, I had to go home and look at it with two mirrors to see it. I was searching for a new stylist ( lost the one I had for years) and noticed that The Artistry Hair Company had great reviews so I gave it a try. BEST DECISION EVER! When I scheduled an appointment Mae happened to be available. Mae is a fabulous stylist! She is extremely talented, well educated and knowledgeable about all things hair. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and when she was done my hair looked better than the photo! I loved that she asked me if I could, what would I change about my hair? I said I would like it thicker and left with thicker looking hair! If you are looking for a new stylist I highly recommend her. In fact, she impressed me so much that I was moved to write this review (something that before this I've never been moved to do). I'm seriously over the moon with my hair color, cut and style!! Julian was seriously the best! I have curly hair and normally I leave the salon with it straight because stylists always feel the need to touch it while styling which is a big no-no. I end up looking like a big poodle which is why I go for the blow dry straight look. Julian knows how curly hair works and I came out with the best curly cut I have ever had. I love it! I also loved that I wasn't shuffled around from the color person to the cut person. Julian stayed with me the whole way! He's such a nice person and the time really flew by. If this salon were in a big city, I have no doubt I'd have to pay 5x the price for half as good of a hair cut. I was not pleased with the back of my hair after it was cut. I was told to come back to the salon for a touch up. I scheduled a time. When I arrived the stylist as hostile and arguing with me. She said I was not styling my hair correctly. She said "your hair is cut evenly, it just appears uneven because of the way I did your highlights." As if only appearing uneven (and not really being uneven) is okay. She never offered to fix anything, just continued to be defensive and rude. I walked out. read more

I had my hair cut here 3x. I never walked out with cut I wanted. I had my hair dyed and ended up with hot roots which they wanted me to pay to have fixed. They probably do ok if you want a an average cut but if you are expecting an above average experience look elsewhere. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to walk in to such a beautiful expansive, high-end looking salon. You can have a number of options to drink while waiting or during the service from beer, wine, tea, coffee. The coloring I requested was quite difficult to achieve since I have very dark hair and wanted to go to a cool light brown shade. Key word, COOL. I've tried to get that ashy color in the past and another place still resulted in a warm, brassy color. So, I was SO happy to get what I requested. I had Sunny through the whole process and she was FANTASTIC! Super knowledgable and friendly. My favorite place is the wash bar area because it's dim and so relaxing. Very much a spa-like experience.
