They have one day classes and longer-term workshops that cater to beginners, and those who have been doing art all of their lives. All you have to do is come in with your imagination. They offer acrylic, pouring classes, watercolor, classes, pottery, and more! I believe the classes are a good value for the price and so are the items that are sold within the studio. Winsor &Newton....or what ever they go by…read more I received many packages in my days but never have I received items this badly damaged...due to POOR packaging. These guys make eBay shippers look absolutely professional. I purchased 12 tubes of Winton oil paints and as soon as I opened the box, one of the tubes had a puncture (between shipping and delivery) and smeared the oil paint all over the other tubes and even on to the invoice. Other tubes looked mangled and on the brink of bursting themselves. They looked like it was handled by over caffeinated monkeys handled the tubes...it's that bad. Side issue: I tried to register as a new customer on their website and it does not allow you to go to the final step to complete the registration. I sent an email for further advise and 4 days later....silence! This is unacceptable on any level. They don't even list their phone numbers on their website. This is also troubling since their return instruction says to "Log Into Account." Well, how am I going to do that if I cannot register to begin with...utter garbage.

We went during open studio today to make our own candles and it was a lot of fun. We had never done…read moreit before so we needed a lot of help but one of the staff, Natalie, really helped us out. We got to pick from the opaque traditional wax or a clear liquid and from several types of glassware to put the candles in. You can make an aquarium with sand and little fish and shells inside which was neat and you pick your own scent or even mix up a couple and invent your own scent. The cost was pretty high at $35 and $40 but it was a fun experience. I think it would be neat if they started a "bring your own" glass jar program at a lower cost because we have so many empty candle containers and glasses at home it would be nice to be able to recycle them! Also, I somehow managed to get red dye allll over my clothes so I recommend wearing clothes you don't care too much about! I do wish they had had aprons available for open studio. And check the hours ahead of time before going in because sometimes they close early if there's a class scheduled.
