Headbands, keychains, nail polish, bags, mirrors, etc. Everything seems pretty reasonably priced. Quality is probably average to low, a lot of the little toys and stuff seem like dollar store quality but priced around $5 because they're adorable! If you're staying at the neighboring Homewood Suites which opened 3 years ago, this place is a 30 second walk away and great for procuring travel necessities like toiletries, snacks, and medications during and after your stay. Regarding messiness, this store attracts a lot of visitor traffic from Menlo Park Mall and Roosevelt Park on weekends, including people with children, so shelves and clothing racks will understandably be a little messy. Since this location is next to a townhouse complex and three nursing homes, inventory for popular items also tends to run low without real-time inventory levels being reflected on Target.com. One of my biggest complaints about this Target is the T-shaped bottleneck for exiting and entering the parking lot. You'll also find some of the worst drivers ever here as they confusedly or recklessly enter and leave without yielding when they don't have right of way. For a more pleasant shopping experience, try the Hadley Center Target.

However, I was recently in South Amboy for the Christmas holiday and had to make a stop at the bank. I decided to check out the local shops while downtown and came across New Life Books and Bibles. I'm so happy I stopped in to check this little gem. They have a beautiful selection of both religious and secular items. The shop is quite charming and the clerk was so sweet and friendly. I'm sorry I did not get her name but we had a lovely chat and her welcoming nature made my visit all that more special. I love to support local businesses at every chance I get, and I am so glad I stumbled into the shop. I already gave out some of my purchases as Christmas gifts so I did not get to take pictures of some of the beautiful items I got, but I shared what I have not gifted yet. When we finished shopping, the person working the register was friendly and patient and had me sign up for the discount card.
