The wedding at Ashley Castle was fantastic last night, from start to finish! The dining room was decorated so nicely, the music went so well, and of course the bride and bridesmaid dressing room was plenty big and so comfortable. The trees being in bloom was amazing! It really was a story book wedding. I gave it four stars for the simple reason that my daughter's email and phone number was written down wrong. She had a very hard time contacting the DJ, and florist, which she found very upsetting. Part of that is my fault. I should have really looked at the number. The area code was written down wrong. It was written down 420 instead of 480. My suggestion to the consultants is, if they can't get a hold of the bride, after many times of trying to contact the bride, get in touch with the groom. But, other than that the wedding was so very nice and everybody enjoyed it! read more

Do not have your wedding here! I promise you that even if you have a 200 person wedding and spend THOUSANDS of dollars, the coordinators (and owner) still won't care. Don't have your wedding day ruined like mine. :) A couple examples: 1. the DJ, Jeff, player the SPANISH VERSION OF MY FIRST DANCE SONG - which was "The Way by Ariana Grande." Pretty hard to mess that one up. He had one job... first dance ruined. 2. Katie and I spoke MULTIPLE times about how I did not want guests in the reception ballroom until after the ceremony. While I was taking family photos, all my guests were let in. :) Everyone saw my dress while I was standing around and my makeup was ruined because I started BAWLING. 3. When my husband and I went to cut our wedding cake, a CHUNK was missing out of it. Like a kid took a handful out. There was also no knife.... really expensive wedding cake... RUINED. DIDNT EVEN GET A PICTURE WITH OUR CAKE WITHOUT A CHUNK MISSING. My wedding day was August 31st, 2019. I have many many many more examples, but I'm not sure I have enough characters to list them all out. Part of my dinner was even served as appetizers... I called the castle and even spoke to the owners and was never even offered a measly apology. I was going to let this go, but I thought I should leave this review to save future brides from potentially having one of the most important days of their lives, absolutely WRECKED. read more

Had my wedding here in 2010. We got engaged in December and thought we'd do a May wedding and looked at a few places, but as soon as we saw Ashley Manor I wanted to hold it there. It was beautiful. When I expressed my interest to the coordinator at Ashley Manor she told me that I could get a major discount if I opted to do our wedding earlier than the wedding 'season' at the end of the Spring, like we'd originally planned. The discount was considerable if we could do the wedding on certain weekday dates in February and we were game, so our late May wedding suddenly became our mid-February wedding. As you can imagine we were rushing to get things done! Thank God for the Ashley Manor coordinators, they made it 100x easier than I could have ever imagined! We opted for an all-inclusive package which (in 2010) was almost $10,000, again we got a nice discount because we chose a less popular time. The package included facility rental, food and drink for 50 people (LUX Catering: three appetizers, two entrees, one salad, one vegetable, one starch), basic bar service and a bartender, a DJ and Master of Ceremonies for 5 hours, a cake for 50 (Nancy Rae Cakes), ALL of the flowers for the whole event, a security guard, and a choice of linen colors for the tables and a coordinator to make sure the whole thing went smoothly. The good things -The place is very, very pretty, there are a couple of places here and there that could use some minor repairs and updating, but really, this place is pretty. -Our flowers were amazing! We ordered blue roses and white Easter lilies. The effect was gorgeous, and they didn't spray paint the roses, but had them water dyed the exact same color of bright blue that I wanted. I'm a florist's daughter, and I was impressed. -The cake was beautiful and DELICIOUS. We ordered a banana cake with strawberry filling and white buttercream icing, piped in a lacy-white spiderweb overlay. Not only did Nancy Rae not bat an eye when we told her we wanted a 'Corpse Bride' themed cake, she went above and beyond in delivering one! We had collectors edition Corpse Bride figurines for our cake toppers and the effect was beautiful, creepy and playful. -They had no issues with us doing a candy buffet and happily provided a candy table in the castle turret opposite the cake turret. We did an assortment of purple, black, blue and green candies and custom message fortune cookies in multi-tiered apothecary jars with blue butterflies and purple and blue dragonflies clinging to the sides, all with monogrammed, white Chinese take out boxes. It was spectacular. -Additionally, Ashley Manor's DJ was great. Our ceremony ending song was New Order's-Ceremony and he timed the music to our exit perfectly, and he was actually excited when we told him that our 'Mr. & Mrs. Introduction' song should be the energetic trumpet opening to Oingo Boingo's-Dead Man's Party. Our first dance was to Blue October's-Calling You and he nailed it. He only failed us once by using some techno re-mix of Echo & The Bunnymen's-Lips Like Sugar for the cake cutting ceremony, not the original recording. -The LUX Catering food was quite good and we enjoyed everything, and our bartender was friendly and accommodating. (We brought in our own cases of wine). The not so great things -The coordinators were all very friendly, but they weren't consistent. We worked with at least 3 different coordinators over the span of about 10 weeks and it was a bit confusing not knowing who was in charge of our file that particular day and having to reexplain the last discussion with the other coordinator to them each time we had a conversation. The one MAJOR glitch was that we believed that one of the coordinators had offered us two additional appetizers, but the next coordinator would not honor it and claimed it wasn't documented, so we had to pay out of pocket in the last couple of weeks to cover the two extra appetizers. -We hardly got any prep time before the wedding for photos because we were coming in on the heels of another wedding, because of that we only got a few photographs of the wedding party. That made me very sad. -Finally, at the end of the event almost NOBODY was still there from Ashley Manor staff for me to ask if there was anyone to help us clean up and pack our stuff. I didn't know if we were supposed to leave our stuff and get it the next day, or what. We weren't really told what to expect, and so there I was at midnight, in my gown, trying to pack up my stuff and get ready to leave. Finally someone told us we could get it in the morning if we got there by 10 AM. When we got there the next day, our stuff was packed up for us and ready to go, but sadly one of my apothecary jars from my candy buffet had been broken and the cake topper that we were supposed to freeze for our one year anniversary had been crammed into a too-small cake box and smooshed. :( Pics uploaded. read more

A staff member told us at the end of our Sunday night reception that we could come back the next morning before 10 and pick up any remaining decor and items that we didn't get that night. So when I went back the next morning at 9, they had already removed & apparently discarded the expensive aisle decor I had provided. No one could locate it. And they couldn't tell me who was responsible for removing it. Apparently they use a third-party cleanup crew. For the amount of money we paid for the venue, I'm disappointed in the miscommunication. read more

The Ashley Castle is an AMAZING venue! Olivia, Krystie, and Lauren are wonderful coordinators who go above and beyond to make your special day run smoothly! Ruben even helped us carry in our decorations into the castle! I was completely stress free because I knew I had reliable people working for us. They address your concerns in a very timely manner and are very attentive to your needs. They pay attention to the details regarding anything from the decor, to the food, and drinks. Our guests continue to tell us how beautifully planned our wedding was. I couldn't imagine choosing a better venue. We chose the Imperial Package. The food from LUX catering (included in package) was delicious. I definitely recommend using them as your food caterer. They have good sized portions and healthy options. You can purchase the alcohol for the reception separately. The florist who works with the castle made a stunning bouquet and beautiful flower arrangements. I love the fact that the castle lets you be as creative as you want to be. I made and brought in my own manzanita tree centerpieces and garland backdrop. This venue has been hosting weddings for the past 28 years and let me tell you, you can tell that they are the most experienced and well organized venue in all of Arizona. These guys host hundreds of weddings a year and the best part, it truly feels like all their focus is on you; it felt like we were the only ones getting married there! The food was DELICIOUS, the decor was BEAUTIFUL and the staff, ROCKSTARS! I can't thank you all enough for the most perfect day. This was the best day of our lives and I owe it mostly to you. This review pertains to 2014 the year that my wife and I hired the castle and Ashley for our potential wedding date which was to be in September 2014 Unfortunately my mother fell deathly ill and was in hospice by April 2014. We canceled our plans for a big wedding at Ashley and gave them five months notice. I had paid them almost $2000 for a deposit when we hired them in early in 2014 I was astonished when they refused to give me back not even a penny of our deposit. Despite the fact that they had many months to book a new party for that date in September 2014. Needless to say to this day they have not contacted us or made any arrangements to refund not even a single penny Our hearts are broken bot only because of the death of our mother but also by the unethical and miserly conduct on behalf of the castle at Ashley In their refusal to refund any of our money despite the fact that they had many months to fill in the timeslot that we left. They were great to deal with up until the month of my wedding. The chef is amazing. 10/10 the food was great and he was so accommodating. They switched my day of coordinator on me a few weeks before and things started getting switched around which is not what a bride needs a few weeks before her wedding day. The day of my wedding, the linens on our cocktail tables were covered it dirt and stains and they were going to leave them that way!!! MY maid of honor had to go over and make them change them and put clean linens on. Also, I had everything labeled as to where to put everything and things were all messed up. This event was awesome! My plus one and I had so much for! Granted the lines were long and we were little distracted, so we didn't get as many dositas as we could have. This review is based on the Adios Amigos event hosted by Dos Equity. The venue was gorgeous! I felt as though there was more to Ashley Manor that we didn't get to see but the main room was awesome and the back patio/yard was beautiful. I can certainly see this as a prime wedding location. When standing next to the men's room, I did see a dead cocroach on the floor which is my reasoning for the 4 stars. Mind you, the doors were wide open and it was dead. Nevertheless, it was there and seen. The signage into the lot was a little difficult to see as well, but that isn't the fault of the establishment really, just our driver. The staff I did deal with throughout our 3 hrs there were very friendly and informative. There were hors d'oeuvres circulating and all of the staff knew exactly what is was they were passing out, which is always a good thing. Throughout the course of the evening the washrooms were kept nice and clean and stocked. I'm not sure when I'll get another chance to visit Ashley Manor but I will be very happy to attend another event here anytime! read more

The only reason I gave them 1 star is because you can't write a review with -0- stars. Looks can be deceiving! You think you are entering into a contract with an ethical, locally owned family business. They may be locally owned and it may be a family business but they are all about the dollar, keeping yours no matter the reason. My son and his fiancee contracted with them in June of 2018 for June of 2019 date. In January our brides mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. Her doctors told the family if we wanted the brides mother in attendance, we need to move the date up the sooner the better. The church moved things around and graciously gave a date within 30 days. Ashley Castle could not accommodate that date, so we respectfully requested a partial refund, given the fact that they had 5 months to rebook that date. We didn't even receive the favor of a reply, which in my mind is so disrespectful. Yes we understand we signed a contract. A contract I would think is designed to protect Ashley Castle from young couples who break up or elope or for whatever reason just plain change their minds and decide not to get married on the date they have contracted with you. We did not change our minds, we did not break up, we did not elope. We had life throw us a curve ball that we never saw coming. We were not at risk of losing a 2nd cousin or an aunt or uncle from attending our wedding, we were at risk of losing the Mother of the Bride. Which in our minds, and hopefully yours as well, would have been just plain unacceptable. We were willing to concede $ 571.00 of the $1571.00 we paid on or about June 14, 2018 as compensation for the 2 tasting dinners we attended and any other cancellation fee which might be assessed. However the remaining $1000 plus $2500.00 that was paid by the Brides Father, we respectfully requested be refunded to us. The contract states that if we had missed the $2500.00 payment you would have been within your rights to cancel our contract for non payment. So if the Brides Mother had been diagnosed on December 15th instead of January 15th we would not have lost that $2500.00? The $3500.00 we respectfully requested be refunded would have gone a long way towards all of the medical bills that are piling up. A big part of the appeal of Ashley Castle is that you are a locally owned family business, not a heartless national chain. I would think if any circumstance would merit your compassion to a family already dealing with a very uncertain future, it would be this one. Our Bride wanted nothing more than to be one of those Brides that has written a glowing review on your testimonial page. She grew up wanting the Fairy Tale Wedding that would have been completed with a reception at Ashley Castle. One of the video's on your Facebook page touts "A Fairytale Beginning to your Happily Ever After" but without Kristens mother in attendance it would have been more of a nightmare. Not only did our family not receive one dime back from Ashley Castle we never even received the courtesy of a reply to our request for consideration. My Fiancee and I went to check this place out because we pass it every day on the way home from work, and were looking for a location close to where we live for our wedding ceremony and reception which will be held next year. Upon visiting the website, the pictures that they displayed showed a beautiful venue with almost a fairy tale look to it. The problem is this: What you see on the website and in person differs drastically. In some of the pictures on their website, you can see the venue, a wonderful castle, clear as day and in beautiful condition. Some of these pictures were posted years ago (at least two or three) and since then, the landscaping around the venue has changed quite a bit. If you compare pictures from then and now, its obvious. You can BARELY see the castle anymore because of the bushes and shrubbery that have grown to overtake the front of it! Anyone paying for this venue is clearly paying for it because it looks like a castle and judging from the pictures, one can see that. The problem is, you can barely see the actual castle anymore. My issue is that anyone booking this venue will be paying the same amount (maybe more or less by a little bit depending on specifics) as someone who had their wedding there 2 years ago, but is receiving MUCH less of the aesthetic value that someone did two years ago. If you dont believe me, look at the pictures online and then go visit for your self. You will be able to tell. It is actually a shame, because if they had not let the grounds surrounding the venue get so out of control, it would be a BEAUTIFUL place to get married. This is literally a venue with SO much potential that is just no longer being used. When you go there in person, you can see and feel the potential, but you can also see that what was once an amazing venue has changed due to what seems like lack of care. As someone else wrote on here, it really is in need of some TLC. All in all, I would still recommend checking this place out, but please be weary of how much the pictures they display differ from what is currently there. They just need a really great groundskeeper team to remove all of those bushes that are covering the amazing structure. It really is a shame. The staff were helpful and let us walk around and check the place out on our own. I really am sure that people are capable of having an amazing wedding there, it just really bothers me that the look of the castle has changed so much from just a few years ago. This was my biggest issue with the place. It is an older venue too, and you will probably get that feeling when you go and visit. Either way, check it out for yourself. This was actually the first of many venues visited by myself and my fiance (now husband) for our wedding ceremony. The photos online look amazing, and we were anxious to visit the property. We called and made an appointment, and arrived a couple of minutes early. We stood in front of the open door of the office for nearly 20 minutes, all the while the two employees inside (who could clearly see us) joked and laughed. We finally stepped out back to take a tour ourselves. We were not nearly as impressed as we thought we would be. The place is in need of major repairs, and the attention to detail just isn't there. The windows looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time, as they were coated with smears, fingerprints, goop-like substances, and a layer of the desert's dust. The floor of the main ball room was absolutely disgusting, and the women's and men's bathrooms smelled HORRIBLE (seriously, they smelled like a well-used Port-A-Potty after midnight at an all-you-can-eat deep-fried sausage event). We were just about to walk out the door when one of the two employees who had been jibber-jabbering in the office came to stop us. When we told her that it was over 30 minutes past our appointment time and we needed to get going, she inquired as to why we just didn't come into her office and sit down. Really? So it's our fault that we didn't begin the meeting on time? We told her that the place just didn't look how we expected it to look. She remarked that they had had a big event the weekend before, and that the place still hadn't been cleaned. That might be true, but there were things that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months! Further, the "castle" is situated in an industrial area which is currently under construction. If you're planning an event that does not take place in the evening, construction noise is a very real possibility. read more

I attended a wedding here as an assistant to a vendor. The 2 stars are only because the venue itself is really nice. But from what I know, the price is ridiculous for what you get. The package that couple got, came with a coordinator. A coordinator that I seen once. She helped set up the tables and that was it. When I introduced myself to her, she was not welcoming at all, she didn't have a schedule, she bad mouthed the dj on why she didn't have the schedule yet and then I didn't see her for the rest of the night. What did she coordinate? If anyone was the coordinator, it was the dj. I had to go to the dj for everything because that coordinator was MIA. The waitstaff who comes and picks up your food and drinks we're rude. I had my water right in front of me and he came and picked it up, I stopped him and told him "I'm still drinking that." He just put it back down without apologizing and seemed annoyed that I had my water out. It was barely 930pm, the wedding was over at 11pm. Literally, 20 minutes later, another jerk came by the table and picked up my water AGAIN! Didn't bother to ask if I was still drinking it. Mind you, the water was very close to me purposely so these people would know that I was still drinking it. Is this the way you train your staff? Is this the service you promote? You just want to take peoples hard earned money? Rushed to get out and clean up for your next event? I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone especially not for the cost these greedy people ask for. If someone offered this place to me for free, I still wouldn't take it. Make the couple feel special on their wedding day and not like they are just another transaction in your books! read more

I attended a very nice wedding here last week. It feels like it's out in the middle of nowhere, but luckily it's easily accessible to the 101 and 202. So, it's both exotic and convenient. The facility is a renovated Tuscan looking estate surrounded by gardens and meandering walkways. The ceremony took place under a gazebo and flanked with a strange seating layout - the groom's side of the seating was long and narrow and the bride's side was wide and shallow. The dinner took place in an nicely decorated adjacent banquet hall. Planning could have been better regarding the sprinkler system - or maybe it was part of the plan to have the sprinklers go off on a distant patch of grass on the unsuspecting wedding planner. Beautiful venue but was really disappointed with our tour. We started with one woman who gave us a tour of the property. After she had us sit down at a table and said she'd be right back. After 20 minutes of sitting there, another woman sat with us and started going over pricing. While going over pricing, two other couples walked in for tours and ended up just wandering. A future bride came in with her maid of honor to do a tour and the bride for the wedding that night was there getting ready. No only did no one have any idea who we were but it made me wonder if we booked with them, would people be wandering around on my wedding day while i'm getting ready as well? It just seemed very scattered. I was looking at spending $15,000+ on a wedding with them and they didn't even know who we were or anything about us. Every other venue we have visited knew our names and didn't make us sit for 20 minutes while they switched out people. The whole interaction just made us feel like an afterthought and like we were just another tour on a list of many. Not exactly how i want to feel when looking at venues for our big day. read more

This is the best wedding venue ever! My fiancé and I have booked our wedding here for May and already I'm in love with everything it has to offer. The have an amazing package deal which includes everything but the officiant, photographer, and alcohol. But even so, the fabulous coordinators there will glady give you recommendations for these services. The planning process is so easy as they take care of mostly everything, you just tell them your preferences. They offer tasting events for the food and different meetings to talk about florals and linens. They completely take away the stress from the planning of your event. The food, linens and vendors they use are first class. I can't wait for my wedding now!!!! I fall in love with it more and more everyday! Thank you Ashley Manor! I'm going to start with four stars for the Castle. We booked here last weekend and the spot is amazing. I love the feel and the idea of the greenery and artifacts in the back which give for great after-ceremony photos (exactly what most of the venues in the city are missing). My biggest gripe is with their 'soft holds policy'. Personally, I have no issues with this. So, after touring on a Saturday and falling in love, I tell them my fiancé and I will be back the next weekend with family because we want to lock down our October date that is still open. They tell us thats great, set an appointment, but again make it clear they cannot do a 'soft hold'. The following Saturday 9 of us show up. Tell them we're probably going to book, and they mention another bride is INTERESTED...There are no soft holds though, so it shouldn't matter-right? So while I'M there touring with my family, the owner calls the other bride telling her there is someone else touring that is REALLY interested (I witnessed the call first-hand when I walked in to their office to ask for pricing to show my dad whom hadn't seen it). The owner is on the phone for a long while, and comes back to say 'the other bride is on her way down (!!!!!) but it's whoever gets the money in our hand first that gets the date, since we don't do soft holds'. When my dad says alright, we're ready, the owner says 'I don't want you making a rash decision because you feel pressure'. At this point I'm almost ready to cry out of pure frustration, and tell the owner point blank, 'If we walk out now so you can talk to the other bride, we will not be back'. Ultimately we got the date we wanted, and the other bride got her secondary date, and came over to congratulate us after booking. Kudos to the other bride, but hopefully The Castle owners will provide for a better experience going forward and not make us regret investing thousands in this place. Will update as things progress, and hopefully be able to increase the stars because I do think the place is absolutely stunning. read more

My daughter had her wedding at The Castle and I have to say, from our initial consultation to the minute she and her new husband drove away in their limo, it was a fabulous experience. The wedding consultant was very knowledgeable and offered terrific ideas and special touches to create the most beautiful wedding I've ever attended. She coordinated everything with meticulous attention to detail. I know everyone says there's always a glitch at the last minute, but everything went smoothly. From the beautiful flower arrangements to an amazing catering job, we were impressed. They recommended a great band and we had most of the 250 guests on the floor at some point. It was so fun! The grounds are beautiful and The Castle offers a rich ambiance that made her wedding seem a little like a fairytale affair. I will never forget the thoughtfulness of the staff, their impeccable communication and their attention to all the details. They had a can-do attitude throughout the planning process and the wedding itself. Our wedding consultant was on-site throughout the wedding, just to be sure things went smoothly. I couldn't be happier with Ashley Castle. Originally before the wedding when we were in the planning process, we were planning on giving it a 4 because the food wasn't what we had hoped, yet everything else was great. But we expressed this concern and they really showed up for us and listened to our complaints or concerns about food. The food was incredible and everyone enjoyed and actually commented on how full and happy they were. The staff and team are easy to work with, especially Christy and Casey. Casey was supposed to be our primary contact (and was wonderful throughout) but got sick before our wedding. We were nervous to work with someone else on day of but Christy, Ashleee and truly the whole team made everything seamless. The venue is beautiful, the team is there whenever you need anything, and the day-of staff became our new buddies! The bartenders were incredible and personable, and we have literally zero bad things to say. The cost is more than fair, and they are happy to adjust or accommodate anything you need. We had the wedding of our dreams and truly couldn't be happier. If you have any complaints or concerns they clearly look at that and adjust it to your specifications or needs. Also, we are a same sex couple and they are on top of the specific needs of that (2 getting ready rooms, adjusting flower needs...etc.) so if that is a concern for you- GO TO ASHLEY! Read this if you plan to have a wedding at the Ashley Castle and you have some sense of class.......... Both my wife and I were as excited to have our wedding at this venue as anyone else would be. We planned everything out on our own and financed the entire thing from beginning to end. We both come from back east (New York and New Jersey) and weddings where weddings are HUGE! Overall, for Arizona this place looks great, especially when there's not a lot of places to choose from in the Valley. I expressed how big of a deal it was to have good food due to having a mother who's from Sicily and cook amazing along with various family members who are all great cooks themselves. FOOD IS HUGE. During the taste test, they will prepare a small amount of food and serve you something that is edible, for the most part...not hard on a small scale. I'm not a picky person nor a mean person but things started to roll of the end on the day of the wedding. The food was for starters, I'm a "foodie" and if you like the 'Sizzler' or 'Golden Corral', this food will be perfect for your guests. I'd like to say this is exaggeration, but it's far from it. We paid this venue more than asked each month and it was not cheap as you will find out. The owners truly owner care about your money and when it comes down to the day of they will let you know how that feels. The big thing was their "bartender". This guy (who's most likely a distant cousin who was in prison for 15+ years) shows up to a formal event with a 'Dirty Tequila' shirt displaying a nude female.. He did not know how to make the most common drinks one would ask for to the point your guests would suggest they make the drink themselves. We purchased way more alcohol then they recommended for the amount of guests we had for an open bar and shortly into the cocktail hour they came to my wife and I claiming "we're almost out of EVERYTHING". Mind you, we don't have heavy drinkers. We then sent out guests to purchase thousands of dollars more or "everything" to get almost everything we paid for back at the end of the night with bottles still either not opened or 3/4 full. We were very confused and annoyed with this. The staff had tattoos on their bald heads and another little charm to add about their "bartender" was the fact he did not wear his teeth....I don't have anything against him for this issue but you'd think with an event like a wedding which costs $25,000.00 and north, they would hire staff a little more fitting. Another thing, my wife surprised me with a Mr. Softee truck after the dinner was served. The two female servers they had staffed, stepped away from their duties inside to grab two cones on our dime... Once again not professional. Later I find the two servers were talking about guests and rolling their eyes right in front of other guests. THIS ISN'T ACCEPTABLE! When we talked to Laura, the owner, about some of the issues she simply did not care AT ALL. My mother called without us knowing, in a very nice way telling her about somethings she noticed, and Laura rushed her off the phone not wanting to hear a thing. Laura will tell you what you want to hear before you pay all this money and when it comes to after she will not get back to you care about a thing. Like I said, the venue is pretty in itself, but the food and staff were unacceptable. Please think twice about having a wedding here. Our son was married at The Ashley Castle last night. What a magical night. The castle is so beautiful and the staff could not have been more kind and accommodating. We had a perfect experience at the Castle at Ashley Manor. We had just been informed, right before a photo shoot, by our previously booked venue (Stonebridge Manor), that instead of the rate of $50 an hour we agreed on, we would now be charged $1,000, with an additional fee for changing rooms. We decided to pass on that and take our chances somewhere else, even though we had little time to book another venue. We ended up being able to book the Castle At Ashley Manor and we are so pleased with our experience there. The staff was kind and friendly, even when our photo shoot ran a bit over schedule. We got to change in the bridal room for no extra charge, the rate was more than reasonable and overall, the venue was stunning. The grounds and interior and so far superior to Stonebridge Manor, it's not even worth comparing the two. The grounds were immaculately kept and had an air of the Regency period about them (it could have been Mr. Darcy's garden). The interior was stunning as well and would be the perfect place for any couple to be married. I guess weddings always seem like they are going to be bad, but then you go and you have a better time than you think. Perhaps there is something about seeing obscure relatives all dressed up and tying empty cans to string behind a car that has some calming effect. If you luck out, there will be a drunken aunt or uncle who will make a scene or a bridesmaid that will vomit (quick, hold her hair!). Plus, the whole tab is on your brother-in-law, how bad can that be? I traveled to Arizona to attend my cutie niece's wedding at Ashley Manor. Mom, Dad and I were all charmed by the place. The pleasant space is an old Spanish hacienda (probably built by a dairy farmer) with lush gardens--lawns, fountains, pavilions, gazebos--they have it all. My pretty niece looked even prettier with the backdrop of the Ashley Manor. Every nook and cranny, inside and out, is a wonderful photo op for the bride, groom and family members. The whole event seemed to me to go without a hitch. Unlike a hotel or the country club, where there are other guests and members, we had the very private and intimate home and grounds all to ourselves. You really did feel special at this casa grande. I would crash someone else's wedding just to go there again. Here's a tip: eat outside. The ceremony was outside but her dinner was in a noisy ballroom. The grounds are magical at night. Magical. In late October, the outside temperature was perfect and I wish we had been outside. I know it's hard to plan the outside conditions a year in advance, but if you can possibly pull it off, have the dinner outside (or even just the cake). Your guests would never forget a dinner party here under twinkling stars and candles. read more

I cannot say enough good things about The Ashley Castle. Our daughter was married there last month and the process was made so very easy from start to finish by their staff. From the initial appointment to book the venue through the various appointments to pick out food and decorations and all that goes with a wedding, the staff could not have been more helpful, detailed, and supportive of her needs and vision. The staff was always quick to reply to emails or answer questions and when the special day finally came, it went off without a hitch. The venue was absolutely stunning and gorgeous. The Ashley staff did an exemplary job and the ceremony and following reception were beyond beautiful. We were all so very pleased and proud. If I could give 10 stars, I would.
