They have a great social media presence, and the website is easy to navigate. No matter your yoga level, there's something for everyone--and if you're not sure, just shoot them an email or DM. They offer a nice series of classes and special events, even on Thanksgiving morning, Christmas Day morning, and New Year's Day morning. The studio has a serene, relaxed atmosphere, and whoever is at the desk always seems genuinely happy to see you. I'm really enjoying coming here for classes and trying new things. If you're unsure about yoga, don't be--it's a safe, welcoming space. They offer a variety of classes, including vinyasa, restorative, yin, and other special classes. Everyone is welcome here. I had a…read morereally nice time connecting with new yoga spots and vendors, and I later learned about their HikYoga programs where they take yoga into nature for outdoor events. While I haven't attended any of the nature events, I attended this years yoga festival online. I thought they did an amazing job curating different types of yoga from around the world. My favorite session was the Red Rocks slow flow live from Arizona. All of the video was extremely high quality and never buffered even for a minute. They also integrated different types of fitness and wellness classes (though I didn't pay much attention to those). I follow HikYoga via social media and newsletter and am always impressed with the cool things they are doing. They host events all over the USA, particularly in New York and Ohio. I've always had such wonderful experiences with them and hope the pandemic eases up soon so they can return to normal!

Each class was different, both were challenging, and I like how I feel at the end of each session. I also like how the instructor gets into your head, knows what you might be thinking and has a mantra or story to help you get out of it. Philosophically, I feel like this place fits me and where I am mentally when I practice. I highly recommend signing up online for classes and/or investing in a pass (which I haven't done yet). I have been doing the drop-in thing and the room can be packed - in fact both of the classes I've attended so far have been packed with up to 40 people in the room, 10 mats to a row, which can be challenging if you are not familiar with yoga and/or fit enough to do your poses without risking losing your balance. However, the community of folks who attend all seem very friendly and forgiving! I also really appreciate the instructors providing verbal prompts for further challenge yourself or for easing off/modifying the pose as needed. Something you sometimes feel is missing in other studios where a one-size-fits-all approach is delivered. I definitely recommend giving them a visit, especially as a comparison to some of the other studios around town. My only lament is that I wish they were closer to downtown Rochester....mainly because of the winter weather and the fact that a round trip for me means a 2.5-3 hour investment of time....but for now I am managing it!
