Everyone is very nurturing, caring, and warm. The teachers and staff are like family to us. My girls were so well prepared for kindergarten and have such a good foundation for their future education. The entire staff came together during the COVID-19 pandemic and set up a virtual pod for elementary school aged students. It was a godsend for our daughter and for us. She was able to be in a school setting and have some normalcy related to school despite COVID. She also developed some incredible friendships during that time. The other parents and families are wonderful and very down to earth . I feel so fortunate that we were able to be a part of the DP community for over 4 years. I miss it!

The teachers are wonderful and do truly care about the children! The tadpoles app is great as you can receive pictures and updates on your child throughout the day. For what it's worth, I don't think the only non 5 star review is an accurate portrayal of the school. This sounds like a very rare case with missing details. As a very involved parent, I can confirm that their is open communication with the teachers and staff. More so than any other daycare.

My son flourished here under the supervision of wonderful teachers and owners, he graduated two years ago and they still love seeing him. My daughter still attends and will be graduating in the next 6 months. I think what I love most about this place is that it's not corporate and the attention from Alyssa, Jessica and Steve make it what it is today. They use the Tadpoles app to keep us up to date with our kids via pictures and notes along with daily reports. They are so awesome and accommodating. My son graduated and started school and the only bad thing was that he was so far advanced than any other kids in kindergarten, he got bored in school. Now he is in first grade and reads at a 4th grade level and top of the class...I know this is because of the Stepping Stones foundation he got. They have recently expanded and taking more students, if you are in the market for a new school; this is the only place to stop. You and your child will love the community they have created.

Not…read moreonly is the school more affordable than most early childcare providers (and certainly less costly than any other Montessori programs in the area which are known to be quite expensive), but the quality of education is top notch. Prior to enrolling here, our son attended a language immersion school. The first year, he had an amazing teacher and made great progress socially and academically. The next two years, however, he began to regress due to high teacher turnover, inconsistent instruction, and a 13:1 student-teacher ratio that wasn't conducive to much individualized attention. The 6:1 class size at Tree of Life has allowed my son to get lots of 1:1 time with his teacher. In addition, the mixed-age classroom, which is a staple of Montessori education, has provided my son with the chance to learn from older students. Moreover, the student-led, choice-based instructional approach, which is also a key feature in Montessori classrooms, has provided my son with ample opportunity to explore his interests while developing independence, confidence, fine motor skills, and intellectual curiosity. A mathematician and Montessori certified educator, Marla understands the stages of child development, and the value of high rigor and hands-on kinesthetic learning. Her classroom management style is firm but fair, and her guidance has informed some of the ways my wife and I support our son at home. Marla has a genuine appreciation for multi-cultural education. She regularly teaches about other cultural traditions like Holi, Kwanzaa, and the Chinese New Year, and invites special guests (including parents) to enrich the classroom experience by sharing their unique talents and traditions. Marla sends an update (both written and via FB group) on what was taught each week and what is forthcoming, is very responsive to email and text messages, and takes multiple measures to ensure her classroom is clean and safe (i.e., locked door, classroom cameras, optional masking, temperature checks, etc.) If an affordable Montessori education, in a small, in-home setting, with a highly skilled and caring teacher is an ideal learning environment for your child; and if an 8:30-4pm pickup works with your schedule, I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tree of Life Montessori. It's a wonderful place!

I picked this school mainly because it was so close to my work, but ended up loving the school. Marla is very serious about teaching, very responsible, and dependable and I can feel very comfortable leaving my daughter every morning. She has only up to 6 kids in her classroom and each child gets plenty of her attention. Only thing I did not like much about was the long nap time...she had a difficult time sleeping at night. A few years after we moved out of Atlanta, we visited the school because I had a conference. She welcomed my daughter for the week that I was staying in Atlanta and she loved being back in the school. The school has such a welcoming, warm environment and this school is my gold standard for preschools.

My child has had several different teachers within 3 months of attending. They constantly are asking for me to bring diapers and extra clothes when his items are there (scattered around the many classrooms). Finally they found his many packs of diapers and clothes. Why is there not any way to reach someone at the physical facility? God forbid I leave my key card, I can not gain access to my child without being chastised. The turnover rate is outrageous. I contemplated even making this review but I feel as though parents should be made aware of the treatment my child had to endure. I knew something was not right when I was told by Mrs.Boiling herself that my brown son was a "angry child" it put a very disgusting taste in my mouth. I let that snarky remark go however it had become a constant thing for the teacher to purposely leave my child water cup in the classroom when they would go outside to me coming to pick him up and my child is sitting isolated in a corner by himself while other kids are playing and when I brought it up to her I was gaslighted by her saying that's the cool down corner when in fact she had been placing my child into time out which is against state regulations for some time I just so happened to see it with my own eyes. My child no longer comes home with pop or rashes due to him sitting in his stool for hours. Ironically I wish I would've withdrawn my son MUCH sooner. My child constantly saw a new face EVERY week turnover rate was extremely high and supposedly my child was the cause of a teacher not coming back I could go on and on about the things she and her assistant with the bad attitude would blame on my child a TODDLER instead of taking accountability for what they weren't doing. I would just be VERY mindful before leaving your kid in their care I can only imagine the treatment my son had to endure in their care. I only speak out now because of how well he's been thriving at his new daycare and now know there were things going on behind the scenes here that wasn't right so yeah just be mindful and listen to your kids when they give you pushback on no longer wanting to attend this daycare.
