I reluctantly write this review as I'm not one to seek conflict, but I feel it's important to warn other parents about our experience with TLC Preschool. If I could rate them lower than one star, I would. Initially, we were drawn to the boutique and mom-and-pop atmosphere of the school. Additionally, our daughter's classroom had an exceptional lead teacher who genuinely cared for the children and fostered their learning. She taught our daughter the alphabet and numbers in both English and Spanish amongst other things. However, everything changed when the lead teacher was fired. The remaining staff seemed unqualified and unable to effectively manage the classroom. We noticed a significant decline in communication through the app, lack of educational activities, and an overall lack of accountability. There were several incidents that went unreported, and our child even came home with a pooped underwear and their excuse was that they didn't have wet wipes. The cleanliness and organization of the classroom was also an issue, as we found missing clothes on multiple occasions. When we brought these concerns to the attention of the director Veronica, she would ask for patience due to the absence of a lead teacher. However, each day brought a new excuse or problem. Both the front desk and the teachers demonstrated a lack of accountability and customer service skills. It became an ongoing ordeal that ultimately led us to immediately withdraw our daughter from the school. When we informed the school that we would be pulling our daughter out at the end of the week, the director unprofessionally chose to remove her from the same day. We requested to speak with the owner, Shannon, but she avoided us, refusing to address the situation with us, upset parents. We asked for an immediate refund for the remaining week, but the director made endless excuses for why she couldn't process it promptly. We wanted a clean separation and no longer wanted to deal with them, so we insisted on immediate closure. As a result, we had to involve law enforcement to resolve the matter, and only then were we informed that a refund had been issued. Therefore, I strongly caution parents who are seeking a school that prioritizes education, professionalism, and accountability to steer clear of TLC Preschool. I sincerely hope that you do not have to go through the same experience we did. read more

We love TLC! There truly aren't enough good things we can say about TLC. This is as sweet a school community as you will find and one that also does everything with a very high degree of professional excellence. Our son has thrived at this school emotionally, intellectually, and socially. It has been amazing to watch him grow through the loving attention and creativity of TLC teachers and staff. We have been so pleased by the intentional attention to learning, creativity through arts, music, and dance, and physical development. In the pre-COVID times TLC did so many fun enrichment activities with the Sandy Springs community (like bringing in a fire truck from the Sandy Springs Fire Department, that was a big highlight in our house!), and we look forward to those continuing when it is safe to do so. Also, the snacks and meals they provide are very healthy (imagine that!) and mostly organic. Our son is a picky eater and it is so nice having the TLC staff encouraging him to try new things and to eat healthy foods. We appreciate the support in this area sooo much! It really does take a village. You will be hard pressed to find a pre-school or child care center that has taken as many precautions as TLC during the pandemic. Ms. Shannon and the staff have brought the same professional excellence and attention to detail to adjusting to the realities of COVID as they have brought to building such a fabulous school in the heart of Sandy Springs. TLC truly does feel like a family while also bringing impeccable bona fides in their approach to caring for your child and encouraging their development. We had the best experience at TLC! My little one attended the Pre-T program and we couldn't be happier. I cannot speak enough about the school's approach; Shanon, and her support team, are amazing. They genuinely care about their students, and it makes a difference! They genuinely love all the children, which is so comforting when you have to leave your child there all day .It is a multicultural experience. My daughter has learned so much while she has been at this school. We believe that the foundation my daughter received at TLC has helped shape her for who she is today :) Everyone one here- from the front-desk staff, teachers and even the chef- is amazing. We are always greeted with a smile, and there is so much positivity and joy in that place. The teachers are down on the floor with the kids taking every opportunity to teach them something new. Everyone there seems like they are "into it".  The kids get lots of play time, lots of hugs and encouragement, great food, and healthy snacks.  And the facilities are very nice and clean . My kid always come home happy, and its clear that the little one is safe and loving hands. We were incredibly picky while finalizing a proper daycare, and honestly can't think of anything to complain about TLC. It's absolutely worth it. We toured multiple different daycare options when my daughter turned 18 months. From 6 weeks - 1 year, she had been attending a "chain" daycare where she wasn't exactly excited to be going every day, nor were we. From the moment we walked in TLC's door for a tour, I knew we had found the diamond in the rough. The management and staff were genuine. They took time with us and didn't make us feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. We easily chose TLC to care for our daughter. Within 6 months she was showing exponential growth. Her vocabulary increased, she would talk about her friends, and she had connections with her teachers. This is not a daycare - it is a school. And it is not only a school, but it is also a home away from home for these children. There's little (to no) turnover. You always know your child's teachers. They are passionate about your child's growth and development. I could ramble on forever about all the wonderful things about this school but will try to highlight some of my favorites: teacher/child ratio, daily updates via app on all your child's activities, pictures, healthy meals that help make your child a good eater, plenty of opportunities for exercise and outdoor play, lesson plans for their education, and always - the organic laughter, love and play that stems from the wonderful faculty and staff . read more

We've been at TLC since our daughter turned 18 months, and are very sad to leave now that she's turned 4 and off to Pre-K. The Legacy Centre is not a daycare - these are teachers who are completely invested in every child's physical, emotional and mental development. The school may not impress from the outside, but so much thought is put into making a fun learning environment. I was super pleased to find that TLC holds parent-teacher conferences twice per year starting in the 18-mo room. In addition to fantastic rooms full of toys and two playgrounds, the school promotes physical activity with weekly activities through partnerships with Tumblebus and Playball. There are also walking field trips to the park, Kroger and the pet store, swim days, fire department visits, cooking days, and more. Our 3 year-old class show was in spanish, so cool! We've really been happy with the meals at school as well - they are able to get young children to try new, healthy foods. I've also enjoyed the parenting classes that have been offered (picky eaters, tantrums). And PS - I give TLC full credit for potty training my child. I felt like I did so little, she was just potty-trained overnight because of the positive attitudes and consistent "trying" at school. I can't recommend this school highly enough. We love TLC! Our boys started there 2 years ago and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the TLC family! They genuinely care about each child and their family. When our son was going through some medical issues, they sent cards, words of encouragement, made us meals, offered to help with whatever we might need. They were a huge support system for us! They have a great, evolving curriculum where the students learn so much and in a fun way! They have twice a year conferences with the parents where they review the child's progress highlighting where they excel and if there are any concerns - amazing to have such knowledgeable, experienced people looking out for your child in this way! The food is mostly organic and healthy. I can't say enough about how PROACTIVE they have been since the pandemic began. They have the entire place cleaned with amazing technology and take every precaution Possible to keep everyone safe and the parents very well informed on protocols, attendance, etc. They are the pandemic caregiver dream team!!! read more

When it came the time to put my son in preschool, I was very nervous because he had always been at home. However after researching TLC and hearing personal testimonies from others who have sent their children to TLC, I immediately felt at ease. I can't say enough wonderful things about the people and the environment. TLC has an online app which gives me daily reports, pictures, lesson plans, and a calendar of events. It's the perfect way to connect with my son's teachers and feel like I know what he is learning that week so we can reinforce at home. This will be his second year at TLC, and he has grown so much in this year, socially and academically. He came home one day counting in spanish, telling me about the life cycle of a caterpillar, and telling me about his favorite activity of the week: Tumble Bus. The work these ladies have put into my son is like no other. When he is at preschool, he is loved by all. We love you all at TLC, thank you for all you do for our son! I wish I could give this school 10 stars. They hold such a special place in my family's heart! Our son went there for almost three years, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. Not only did my son love to be there, his growth and development skyrocketed. Through 3 different classrooms, we loved every teacher and every interaction was a positive one. Visibility and communication are top notch, we were always able to reach someone and received constant updates on every aspect of our child's day. On top of that, they have gone above and beyond to accommodate care during a health crisis. I grew more impressed the longer we were there. TLC is second to none in child care, and everywhere else should take a few lessons from them. From one parent to another, this is a place where you can trust the staff to provide the highest standard of care with every child that attends. TLC was a God send to us when we moved to town from up North. Our two boys spent two years there and experienced every classroom from 18 mos. to Pre-K, and we could not have been happier! Every single teacher is experienced, thoughtful, loving and, you can tell, genuinely loves what they do. Ms. Shannon, teacher and owner, is truly EXCEPTIONAL. Her steadfast and heartfelt dedication to making TLC an inclusive, diverse, safe, educational, thoughtful, warm and nurturing environment is unmatched. As a former educator I am VERY picky about where I send my kids and TLC was quite honestly the best school experience I've had. My boys walked in barely speaking, shy, and very dependent on mommy. They left confident, talking, reading, self-sufficient, and with an authentic love and excitement for school! What's better than that? We just moved out of town and miss TLC terribly. We HIGHLY recommend you snag a spot here if you can. Your children will truly be better for it. read more

I cannot say enough about TLC. Until 18 months old, both of our children (now 3 & 5) attended other daycare centers which my husband and me describe as "fine". From their first days at TLC, we could tell a remarkable difference. The children were super excited to tell us about their adventures every day - sports with Coach D, making homemade apple sauce, science experiments, etc. and their vocabulary exploded (hypotheses, chrysalis?!) TLC is highly communicative and transparent; they were constantly providing us with advice and resources tailored to our children's specific needs and interests. I have absolutely no doubt that the children are more well-adjusted and have broader horizons than if one of us had stayed home with them. The kids' curiosity, social skills and academics are much more advanced than other children of their age and our oldest has glided into kindergarten like a champ. Both my kids have graduated from TLC and have absolutely loved every minute of their time there. For anyone that is considering a loving, caring place to trust you child to, look no further. When we first decided to place our children in daycare, we looked for the "shiny new toy", a new school with bells and whistles. I won't name the other institutions that my kids attended, but suffice it say, they had a terrible experience and we were fortunate to find TLC. What makes this place beyond amazing is the teachers and staff. There is an overwhelmingly loving and caring environment fostered from the Owner down. That is exactly the environment that helps kids thrive and learn. We cannot say enough great things about this place and how fortunate we were to have both of our children graduate from here. My oldest still loves coming back to say hi to her old teachers. Placing you child in TLC's care will be the best decision you could make. read more

My son has been at TLC since he was 19 months old. We both LOVE it! The staff is amazing! Everyone is very kind, caring and on top of everything! Some days my son doesn't want to come home! They offer all kinds of extras that are included with tuition like petting zoos, Sports Skills with Coach D'wayne, and visits from everybody from SSFD to the Tooth Fairy. I love that they're very inclusive and diverse. The kids learn about and celebrate cultures from around the world. It's been a magical 4 years, and as we prepare for graduation and elementary school, I honestly wish they would add an "upper school" because we're not ready to leave. I was anxious about putting my son in pre-school and at such an early age, but it was one of the best decisions I've made, and it's been incredible to watch him blossom and thrive at TLC. I have been highly recommending them to everyone for 4 years now and don't see that changing any time soon. read more

Our children have been attending TLC for the last 3 1/2 years and we have had an exceptional experience. When searching for a childcare provider we had pretty high expectations and TLC has exceeded all of those. I am hesitant to call this place a daycare because it has felt like home. Our children are loved and nurtured on a daily basis. The admin staff and teachers' attention to detail has been superb. There have been minor incidents that occur at any childcare center but the way it is handled is the true test and TLC has always been transparent, honest and caring in critical moments. My children's educational journey has been immensely fostered to the point were they are exceeding peers in the same age range. Despite us moving further away from the school it was without question that we HAD to stay at TLC for our children! We look forward to our continued relationship with them with all FIVE of our children :) read more

We knew TLC was awesome because we had several friends sending their kids. We were at another school/daycare and happy but thought we should look into TLC. Wow we did not know what we were missing with our first two children. The staff is dedicated to teaching and helping children grow and become more self sufficient. Our son thrived in this environment. They do a great job with the curriculum making it both fun and challenging. Every month it is a new theme with learning activities centered around it. Most months they are also bringing in a field trip directly into the center. Luke still talks about the bird show. The graduation ceremony was incredible to watch and see how much the kids learned singing about colors and counting both in Spanish and English. The dancing was incredible too. I can't say enough great things about this place. My son recently transitioned to TLC from Suzuki and while we loved Suzuki it was too far from our house. TLC is an amazing hidden gem in Sandy Springs. The transition to this school has been wonderful. The teachers, administration and entire staff are incredible. They offer constant communication and support. They take the time to get know specific needs of each student. Our son is in the two's class with Ms. Misty , Ms. Santee and Ms. Natalia. They are great! You can tell immediately they love the children and the school. The class offers monthly focuses on a new subject which keeps the class and materials fresh and interesting. They offer weekly offsite Feild trips to the local park which even includes yoga! There is nothing better than knowing your child is in a loving, productive and happy environment, kudos to all of the staff and teachers at TLC. read more

Our family have been blessed to have our son at TLC for 3 years. We are so sad that he will be going to Kindergarten next year and leaving TLC because every staff member has become like family. From day one(when our child was 2), we felt a sense of relief when we dropped him off because the loving environment that has been built at this school. The amount of love and dedication to each child, is like no other. You will NOT find a better school for your child. No other school compares! Our son is learning so much and is well beyond ready for Kindergarten, which makes us so happy. From the friendly hello's at drop-off, fluid communication via app which includes pictures throughout the day and updates of our child's learning, to his teacher's giving us daily reports at pick-up. The Legacy Centre Preschool is one of the best childcare centers we have been enrolled in since becoming parents. This center truly understands the proper balance of nurturing, academics, structure, and communication required for both toddler and parents to thrive. Our son has been enrolled here since he was 2 years old and he is the most fun loving and caring 4 year old I've ever met! The teachers are engaged with our son and we can see his growth daily. This is the best preschool hands down...I recommend this dynamic preschool to everyone without hesitation. I will add that the healthy meals/snacks and extras that are provided for our son are included in tuition and that has been an added benefit as well. We are so glad to have found this school when we did! We unconditionally loved the time our three year old son spent here with such an amazing staff. We had gone thru a couple of different centers when he was a few months old, and after he transitioned into the toddler program there, we noticed a lot of red flags and decided we needed to make a change. Lucky for us, we were referred by a friend to check out TLC and since then our son was the happiest kid ever. All the staff starting from Mrs.Lynn, Mrs. Nicky, Mr. Eduardo, Mrs. Shannon and assistant teachers were all loving, kind, caring, supportive and patient with our little one. We've been part of the TLC family for 3 years and we definitely love it. As a teacher, my expectations were really high when we were looking for a school for our daughter. Well, no matter all the options we had, when we visited TLC for the first time we were very impressed and took the decision right away. We are so glad our daughter is having the opportunity to grow academically, socially and emotionally thanks to the very professional, caring and loving staff at TLC and their wonderful educational program.
