I am very disappointed I the way they handle costumer concern! I have been coming to Astro for over 5 years since I travel for work.I am Aware that motels aren't perfect but usually the man who checked me in was very kind and receptive. Unfortunately this time I was checked in by Tanya who was very clear she wasn't interested in helping a woman like me .I shared kindly some concerns with her about dried blood (or red spots on my pillow) that so obviously weren't from me .she immediately tried to blame me and was extremely rude and dismissive letting me know it wasn't her problem. I wasn't looking for a refund or any compensation just understanding that it was disgusting and reassurance that it wouldn't happen again. Unfortunately I got the complete opposite. And unfortunately that will be my last time at Astro

The cleaning standards & maintenance were bad enough before learning about hidden cameras found here during the month of my stay. You get what you pay for: pests, small & stained towels, poor turnover, dirty carpets, bad cable, soap dispensers falling off wall.

make it simple, we WILL NEVVVVER stay at this hotel again. During stay we discovered a HIDDEN CAMERA no larger then the size of your finger tip, that was taped to the bottom of the  table inside the room that was facing the bed and bathroom area. Local law enforcement was called to complete a report and collect evidence. Property manager nor company did nothing to apologize or compensate for our stay. This was absolutely a VIOLATION OF PRIVACY, and should be rectified yet nothing was done. Police report number is in hand and an investigation is underway. PLEASE be aware this place failed to protect my privacy and safety. Pictures of hidden camera was obtained for evidence! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The place is affordable and stylish. The room is clean. & I love the shower. Will return.

White dirty towels under the mattress.

Disgusting hotel never ever come here!! And if you do MAKE SURE YOU CHECK UNDER THE MATTRESS. I drove out here with my fiancé from Arizona and after a long 6 hour drive you would expect it to be clean but no we had empty alcohol bottles under the mattress they gave us another room after the front lady saw that and then we decided to check that new rooms mattress and found these dirty towels under the mattress. We went back to the front lady and she told us to get out and leave! Like?? How are you about to tell us to get out and leave when you can't clean your own bedrooms. I'm disgusted by this place and the customer service. Never ever coming back here again and don't recommend it for anyone.

This place is by far the most decent motel in Pasadena. The place itself is very unique, clean room, nice staff, and also affordable.

One-Star Restaurant at a Five-Star Hotel…read more We had lunch at The Terrace at the Langham on Labor Day. The restaurant is down near the pool, and the setting is exactly what you would expect from the Langham: polished, and upscale. The hotel itself is beautiful, and walking through the property always feels special. Unfortunately, the meal did not live up to the surroundings. The menu had regular entrée options starting around $30, along with a $72 buffet. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant appeared well staffed, but things went downhill from there. We ordered coffee, mimosas, and the hummus trio. After a long wait, none of it had arrived. We finally flagged down our waiter, who seemed unaware that we had ordered anything. Apparently, the first waiter had taken our order before going on break and never passed it along to the next server. When the drinks finally arrived, the coffee was lukewarm. We sent it back, and the replacement was only slightly hotter. Not a great start and certainly not what you expect from the Langham. The hummus trio was also disappointing. It came with a thick fried flatbread that was hard, dry, and unpleasant to eat. It had a rough texture that reminded me more of cardboard than pita. My wife ordered the buffet, which had a carving station with smoked brisket and roughly 10 to 15 hot dishes. Most of the hot dishes were dairy-heavy, so she could not try many of them. She did have the soup, brisket, and fruit, but none were good. The soup did not look appetizing, the fruit was underripe and not sweet, and the brisket was probably the driest brisket I have ever seen. It was also underseasoned. I was already skeptical about brisket sitting under a heat lamp. BBQ restaurants store their briskets wrapped in butcher paper and sitting in warming ovens around 150 so they don't dry out. The executive allowed his staff to store the brisket on the carveing board under a heat lamp and what we got was extremely dry bland uneditable brisket. I ordered the branzino, which was probably the best thing we had. The fish was moist, and there were a few crisp bits on the outside. It was fine, but for the price and location, it was not particularly memorable. Dessert was another miss. The rest of the table ordered sorbet, while I ordered the mango sticky rice. What arrived looked like half of a coconut with a chocolate shell and a white filling. I assume the filling was meant to be sticky rice and coconut milk, but it tasted more like an Almond Joy than mango sticky rice. This version was not good and should not be called mango sticky rice. Great location, poor execution and quality. I am sorry but I expected so much more from the beloved Langham.

After I initiated a conversation about resolving the problem I was told that parts had been ordered but were not expected for a couple of days. The parts didn't arrive before our departure after a six night stay. A small fan was brought up which did little to cool the suite. After another conversation, two portable units that had to be vented through the windows were brought up. While these cooled the living room and one bedroom, the other bedroom remained very warm. the following day a third unit was brought up. Two of the three units leaked, getting the carpet wet. Both of these units had t be replaced. These units were loud and because they vented out open windows brought all the street noise into our suite.

The next morning, prior to check out, I inquired about a 2 bed room and was told that they had one but, I would have to wait until the afternoon. I agreed and they charged my credit card $160.29 for the stay on Saturday, April 25, 2026. I had an important appointment across town that I needed to keep so, I left to get to the appointment and expected to get back to the hotel around the time that the room became available. Unfortunately, I encountered serious vehicle issues and was not able to get back to the hotel. I also did not want to get stuck in the dark trying to get across town to the hotel. I tried to call the hotel later that evening but, it just kept ringing and ringing, until it timed out, and I was never able to reach anyone. Early the next morning (April 26th), I tried calling again but, it still just kept ringing until it timed out. I was finally able to physically go to the hotel and speak with Mary a bit after 2am. She told me that I would have to wait until after 9:30 or 10 am and speak with David, the GM. I called at 11:21 am and told another man there what happened and he told me to speak with David at 3pm. I spoke with David at 3:29pm and told him that I had planned to be there when the room was ready but, I had serious vehicle issues and no way to get to the hotel. I mentioned that I tried to call, no one answered, and that I finally spoke with Mary, who told me that I had to speak with him. He said that Mary starts at 11pm and I should have called sooner. I explained that had I not been stuck across town without transportation and dealing with serious vehicle issues, I would have but, I did try to communicate as soon as I could. I told him that I just wanted to be able to stay for one night to use the one night for which I paid. It is unfortunate because, even though this place was not the best, most well kept hotel, it was conveniently located and most of the staff, up to this point, seemed nice enough. At this point, I have no interest in ever staying here again. I would just like a full refund.

The Best Western Pasadena Inn met all my needs, exceeding expectations. First off, the area is clean and safe, allowing me to feel comfortable compared to some locations in LA. I also loved the rooms, which are large and clean with fridges and some of the fastest wireless internet I have seen for Zoom meetings. It allowed me to work without stress. Huge accolades for the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was clean and actually hot, unlike some hotels where the water is lukewarm. I also appreciated the staff here because they are very friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. If you enjoy having a wide selection of TV channels, this hotel definitely delivers. Now the negatives - The bed was harder than expected and made for uncomfortable sleeping. Their signage is terrible. When I first got on the elevator it went down even though I pressed the 3rd floor button. I tried a couple times, when another guest said you have to scan your room key then select the floor. No sign saying that on the elevator. No explanation from the front desk about the elevator. Usually, you only need the key card if your on the top floor. Even if the hotel is setup different you need to explain it at check in or provide signs! Same night I went to fill the ice bucket. Followed the sign, it pointed down the hall. I walked back to the Elevators thinking there was a sign pointing to another floor. NOPE! Then I hear the ice machine motor kick in so I know I'm close. The front desk explained pool hours and directions. The lobby itself is a vibe; moody but cozy, featuring cool touches like vintage telephone booths, table games, a welcoming fireplace with comfy seating, and a small bar offering coffee early and cocktails later. Food: Before heading up, I stopped by BBAD (connected breakfast burrito spot). Highly recommend! The Pool: Arriving early on Sunday meant I had the whole rooftop and pool to myself for almost two magical hours. The warm, overcast morning and occasional chorus from Pasadena's parrots made it a perfect self-care escape: reading, napping, swimming laps. It did get busier closer to noon (maybe five others until then), but still felt relaxed compared to other weekend days. Or so I've heard. Drink/food service starts at noon, delivered poolside. The Spicy Margarita was delicious! Facilities: Clean space, restrooms close by, surprisingly soft towels. Con: No free water stations which is unusual for a hotel pool. Only bottled water for sale, so bring your own. Overall: My Sunday escape was top notch! I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend for solo self-care or a chill day with friends.
