When we walked in, we were not greeted; the young, brown haired millennial at the register just sat there with her phone in her hand. Obviously it was more important than the customers. Several people walked in and out while we were there and she did not look up once to say hello or do anything. One couple wanted to buy some items but when they walked up to the cashier, they still weren't spoken to and the girl never looked up so they put the items back they wanted tp purchase and walked out. We wanted to purchase some items too - I really liked the cute succulent/cacti soap but didn't feel like dealing with the young lady at the register. We walked out too and were not given any type of greeting as we left like all the other stores did that we walked in to that day. I really hope they employee better employees that don't stay on their phones all day or else they will continue to lose business like they are.

I was on the hunt for an angel figurine for my mom's Christmas present and finally found "her" here - complete with cowgirl gear and attitude. I was able to talk with the shop owners who were helpful and friendly and genuinely glad to see me. When do you ever get THAT treatment at a chain store? The hunt & find of unique gift is a big part of the charm in the shops up and down Colorado Ave and the experience of walking through shops that aren't name brand or in a stuffy hustling mall can't be beat.

The owner is so friendly and is also originally from the same area as we are, so that was a bonus. The store is not crammed full of stuff like some of the others on the strip but instead offers a pleasant shopping experience. It's a cool peek into how folks lived back then, and there's no shortage of vintage eye candy. Some items are clearly marked with "Do Not Touch" signs. One wasn't--so naturally, my curious son gave it a go to see how it worked. A staff member walked by and, instead of gently redirecting, chose to loudly scold him in front of others. It was uncomfortable and felt a little over the top for a kid just being curious. Not exactly a warm, educational moment. We moved on quickly--but not before one of us made sure to gently touch one more thing, for good measure. The shooting gallery was a hit with the kids. Change machines are a surprisingly nice convenience. Gold panning? Fun to try, but we struck out. Informative movie? Worth sitting for. Gift shop? Cool stuff, but brace for sticker shock. All in all, it's worth a stop if you're into Old West history, but a little more grace from staff would go a long way in keeping the experience fun--especially for families.

The scones were perfect - good flavor and texture. The food portions were generous. I thought the pricing was fair. The ambiance shouldn't be compared to the castles. They're just different styles and should be enjoyed as such. There was a young woman playing the harp which was so beautiful. I enjoyed her selection of music. Such a nice touch. Again, we couldn't have asked for better service. Highly recommend.

I love souvenir shops, gift shops, and everything in between. That is how I found The Spark. I was a little apprehensive when I first walked in because I didn't want my kids to break anything.It's not that they're occasionally bulls in a china shop, but they are occasionally bulls in a china shop. They were particularly well behaved this time so nothing was damaged. The items for sale here are more towards the high end decorative type items. There were several dude oriented items that I liked, including several clocks made from old airplane gauges. I kind of regret not buying one. I did end up getting a Colorado themed Christmas Ornament which is pretty cool. If you are in downtown Colorado Springs and want high end decor, I encourage you to visit The Spark.
