This place is AWESOME. Their selection of beads, pendants, stones, and everything else they have is very expansive. There's items from all across the world! My wife and I were helped by Kate and she demonstrated such kindness and support for us throughout our time making necklaces. She helped us find the items we were looking for and helped us create the necklaces we wanted! On top of that they let all their local jewelers get 20% supplies here which is a great way to support the local community. Also here's a pic of the necklace I got! Seems like great value and quality! Cannot WAIT to come back!! :))

It was fun to watch her work on the necklace and made me appreciate the intricate skills and patience needed to do it.

I made it to Colorado Springs last week and this was on my list. (Especially when I found out there…read moreare NO Local Yarn Stores in Colorado Springs.) I've been to a similar store in Austin and Houston, they ALL have some really neat goodies. I got some art from one of the knitting and crocheting teachers, she did have some of her own hand dyed, but I got art and stickers instead. I found the book room, got one I've looked at for at least 10 years-knitting coffee table size and $$$. $5 was kinda perfect I also got a crochet book. I got some yarn and made out like a bandit with knitting needles for $2 a pair. There was another section close to the register that had packages with several tapestry needles for $1 a package. There were multiple bathrooms (all looked accessible). There was also accessible parking. I was by myself on forearm crutches, the accessibility means so much. Last but far from least, the people. I have the knitting teacher's name at home, but she was GREAT. Also gave me suggestions on yarn stores in Denver. Another awesome lady helped me find a place for my crutches, I was using a basket and they were in the way. When I had questions on some yarn the cashier in rainbow and a huge smile and kind personality got me the yarn specialist....then she helped me carry my hoodies to my car. (Some needles ended up in my carry on. The rest was in a box my friend shipped me.) If you are into crafts at all or read or you need cheap entertainment for kids of all ages. PLUS. There Is A Parking Lot. (Not Street Parking)

I recently discovered this store as I was on the hunt to purchase new wrist mala bracelets. They…read morehave a nice selection of them! The energy in this store is wonderful. Plan on spending plenty of time here as they have an abundance of products to browse. I was hesitant to make a trip down to The Springs today but so glad I decided to! This has become my favorite Tibetan store. There is one on Pearl Street in Boulder that comes in a close second to this one. A very nice lady behind the counter immediately greeted me as I entered the store. I smelled a pleasant scenery of incense that was burning or finished burning up. This lady was also very helpful in showing me several wrist mala bracelets. She also took the time to explain the metaphysical energies of each one I looked at. I was hooked on two of them and ended up purchasing both of them. There was a third one I looked at but had to pass. Next time! She wasn't pushy with a potential sale of the third one and I really liked that about her. I also inquired about meditation cushions. I'm in need of a new one with better material. I struck gold here! They had a nice shelf with newly imported meditation cushions from Nepal. I was immediately drawn to one of the maroon cushions with the "Om" symbol on it. It's beautifully woven onto the top of the cushion with red and yellow stitching. It's very comfortable as well. The lady who helped me with the wrist mala bracelets encouraged me to try out the cushions by sitting on them. The one I'm referring to is very comfortable to sit on. It's stuffed with cotton and made in Nepal. I was hedging on buying it and chose to browse around the store more. I was offered ten percent off the cushion as well. I purchased it and was very satisfied as I carried it out of the store. So, this female staff member I referred to here is the co-owner. She and her husband have owned the store since 2007. I liked that she didn't brag about this and only offered it because I asked. She was very easy to talk to and accommodating. Also, she thanked me profusely for my purchases. Her gratitude was so sincere as well. One thing she said that I completely agree with is, your purchase at this store helps support a local business. I can only imagine how they were affected with the covid shutdown. It's also my understanding that they import products from Nepal on a consistent basis. I will definitely return here again, most likely to purchase the "third mala" I eyeballed earlier. If you like Tibetan culture, jewelry, and other products from their culture, I strongly encourage you to check them out. Again, your purchase(s) helps support a local business! I feel it's worth the trip if you live in the Denver area. There are a lot of nice shops and restaurants nearby. The Tibetan Arts & Crafts store is situated in downtown "Colorado City." The trip alone to visit this historic city is worth it! I will definitely return here again soon and spend more time, most likely an afternoon. I recommend visiting the Tibetan Arts & Crafts store then grabbing lunch or dinner at a nearby place. There are plenty of choices here! I hope your visit becomes a pleasant experience like mine was. Today was a perfect bookend to a good weekend! Looking forward to visiting again soon!
