My husband had scheduled a massage as a gift for that afternoon. This was probably the worst experience I have had. The therapist was poor in her execution, style and even manner. Before my treatment even started she mentioned an up charge for deep tissue. During my treatment she burped two times and her massage was far from relaxing her massage etiquette as a therapist was poor and as it was my birthday it sort of ruined my whole experience there, which was a shame. I did reach out to the B&B and provided my feedback, was told the spa manager (Tanya) would reach out but she never did. Heard back from the B&B manager and she told me the owner would give me a $50 dollar credit to my treatment the next time! We live almost two hours away so will not be planning on using that any time soon. To be honest after that experience I would not go back to the spa. The b&b was lovely the massage experience not so.

Title: A Blissful Retreat at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa…read more Rating: (5/5) My partner and I recently enjoyed a two-day stay at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and breathtaking surroundings left us utterly enchanted. Firstly, I must commend Alex, the multi-talented front desk manager and concierge. Her warm welcome and exceptional hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. Alex not only ensured a smooth check-in but also provided us with valuable information about the resort and nearby attractions. Her dedication to making our stay memorable was truly impressive. Our mornings were filled with culinary delights thanks to the talented chefs, Michael and Linda. There are always 2 courses, and they typically feature some local produce and meats. Michael's breakfast creations on day one were a delightful surprise, with flavors that danced on our taste buds, especially the sausage! Linda, the breakfast chef on day two, continued the culinary excellence with a delectable breakfast that left us craving for more. The eggs with asparagus were amazing and I am super picky about my eggs. Rebecca, the waitress, deserves a special mention for her attentive and friendly service during our meals. She made dining a pleasure, always ready with a smile and quick to accommodate any request. Carla, the kitchen helper, and Cassidy, another member of the front desk and concierge team, contributed to the overall smooth operation of the inn. Their dedication behind the scenes did not go unnoticed, and it's evident that the entire staff at Lucille's is a well-oiled machine. Desserts are also served in the evening and the guests serve themselves and typically joined in the common areas, reading, chatting or playing one of the several board games available. It was delightful way to unwind. The highlight of our stay was the couples massage at the spa, a truly rejuvenating experience. The spa staff exhibited professionalism and skill, creating a tranquil atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and connect on a deeper level. Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa is a place where luxury meets nature, and where every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The stunning mountain views, the impeccable service, and the attention to detail make this an oasis of relaxation and romance. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem in the mountains. Thank you, Lucille's, for making our stay unforgettable.

After visiting over five properties, all were either too rustic or too cookie cutter perfect. On our final site visit, we knew we had found THE place at Mountain Laurel Farm. The farm is located just inside the Chattahoochee National Forest which provides so many scenic views. Driving up, you're just taken away by the tranquil peace of the property. The barn itself is quite rustic, but it's so charming and still provides the basic necessities (restrooms, electricity). Although there is no climate control, we had no issue with the heat on our wedding date after opening all the doors and windows and adding a few household fans. I do wish there had been more resources in the catering room; I'm hoping Melody can make some upgrades there in the future (running water/industrial sink, ice machine, larger fridge/freezer). However, our caterer had no issues with making the catering area work for them. Melody, the property owner/manager, was incredibly easy to work with. She was so patient throughout the process, quickly answering all my questions and concerns. She has so much décor and so many props and furniture available at the barn, along with her linen rentals, you really only need to show up with your food and beverage. She had lots of good ideas about how to set-up the barn so that it would maximize space for our guests. We loved having access to the farmhouse for the wedding day. Although no one lodged there, it was a welcome place for me and my bridesmaids to finish getting ready, as well as a cool spot for our wedding party and us to rest after the ceremony and before photos. It was fun to look out onto the ceremony space before the ceremony and after and see all of our family and friends gathering for our special day. The property is located a short distance from a major interstate, and just off a main highway, with close access to resources (grocery store, entertainment and cultural activities, department chain stores). This was helpful to our friends and families, all traveling in from out of town. Most of our guests made a weekend of the trip, visiting Helen, wineries, water activities, and all the other things the area has to offer. There are many rental cabins close-by and we also held a block of hotel rooms in Helen which was convenient for our guests. If you are looking for a charming rustic location with wonderful amenities and breathtaking views, I highly recommend Mountain Laurel Farm for any wedding or social occasion!

It was a bit confusing to turn into the driveway then wind up the path to the lodge, but there are signs to help. The driveway is a bit steep and I wouldn't want to go up if it was snowing in our little car! Enough parking for everyone and plenty of common rooms. There is a fridge and microwave on the first floor, and was a mini fridge in our room. It's about 45 minutes to Helen, GA and more affordable. I'd book the lodge again!

What a quaint and such fun place tucked away in the mountains! From the time we arrived the staff ( Megan) was beyond welcoming. From the cookies to the champagne it was very special. Our room was perfect! Just what I needed for a get away. Well we went off for dinner for at night and decided to take an Uber since it was New Year's Eve and we were not familiar with the area. When it came time to leave , our uber never showed up! We tried again and again to no avail! Called the one and only taxi in the town and she was unable to give us any definite answer. My last hope was to call the lodge . I felt terrible as it was getting later by the minute. It was their New Year's celebration going on. No one was able to answer so I left a message for their manager Sean hoping at 11:00 anyone would even be there to respond. Not even 5 minutes later Sean sent a text asking if we still needed help . This guy went above and beyond to help us out. He was there within minutes and got us back to the resort in time to celebrate with the other guests to bring in the new year! This place is a gem. We will definitely be back every year! They have covered every little detail here to make it special for each guests. Thank you again Sean for making this trip an awesome time! In summary, what a beautiful setting, excellent service, delicious food, charming drinks, with every one of the staff members (owners included) just waiting to coddle and take care of your every whim and desire. Finding the Lodge the first time was a little challenging but just trust the GPS even though it looks like you're heading onto someone's property, stay on the road until you reach the top. Once there, be prepared to be pampered. The road up is a tad narrow, and when we arrived it was covered in leaves (we hit prime color change/leaf dropping) but it's not bad. The rest of the time the road was well cleared with turn-outs obvious and useful if needed (we didn't need one during travels in and out). We stayed in a room on the 1st floor at the end of the hall with a nice sitting room and patio with a beautiful view of the wooded hillside. The room was nice, fully functional and one nice feature were motion lights under the bed such that if you get up during the night you're not stumbling around to find the bathroom door. Loved that. They have a bar with well made drinks and a nice cozy sitting area with a fireplace and comfortable chairs we used to chat with the staff who helped fine tune our winery stops. They have a 'snack bar' (my term) complete with various snacks, cold drinks, a coffee drink, and freshly made cookies each day. Oh, and they will point out a nice little file box with room numbers with homemade candy that magically appears each afternoon! A delicious and generous breakfast is included that is FAR from the typical powered scrambled eggs, paper thin bacon (you know what I'm talkin' about!). No, this is a freshly made frittata, the best home fries I've ever had, fresh cut fruit and more. Great start to each day! They have an outdoor seating area complete with lights, an abundance of bar height chairs/tables, Adirondack chairs, and fire pits. A great way to spend an evening at sunset sipping your wine/cocktails and talking the evening away. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that we opted for the five-course prix fixe dinner in their large communal dining area known as "Wit & Wisdom". It was a great way to mingle with other guests, share stories, compare winery travels, and just share time and conversation. This alone was worth the price of admission! We added the wine pairing so we went all in, and we felt that we certainly got our money's worth out of it! Kicking it off with an Amuse-Bouche and wrapping up the next five-courses, while they appear small, we were absolutely stuffed when we were done. The wines were outstanding and it turned out to literally be the perfect ending to our glorious stay with owners Tommy & Heather and the entire staff that made sure we were fed, comfortable, and part of the Mountain Top 'family'. As I loaded the pictures, I realize I have to give a shout-out to Topher and the crew in the kitchen! You all demonstrate exceptional service and skill. Well Done!!!

Although the setting is admittedly spectacular, acres of hilly vineyards with views of the mountain behind, and the patio was certainly fancy, the tables each with fire pits in the center providing cheery warmth, the tasting experience itself was sub-par and overpriced. It lacked the authentic feel I've seen in other wineries and seems more of a tourist destination. First thing I noticed is the shockingly high tasting fee of $35 for a flight of 4 2-ounce pours of their choice. No substitutions allowed! Either these are some spectacularly great wines or this is a major rip-off. I passed. But since I was here I decided to have a glass. I got one of their estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon. It was around $16 but since I was here. It was good, but certainly not worth the $48 they charge for a bottle. For the $35 do you get individual attention, descriptions from the bartender about the wines and about their winery? No. You get 4 labeled glasses to take back to your table. Not worth it. Find another place less touristy, more authentic. That shouldn't be hard. There are like 65 wineries in the area!

William Butler Yeats With the beautiful backdrop of the rolling hills of North Georgia, Yonah Mountains Vineyards delivers real wine and real romance. Whether it's for an afternoon date, or a full out wedding among the rows of vines, it's hard not to feel love in the air. Great outdoor seating, both covered and uncovered, place you right above the beautiful vineyard and allow you to take it all in. Yonah Mountains Vineyards separates itself from the others by providing familiar wines such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay etc as opposed to the traditional Muscadine wines of the south. The wine itself is decent, but definitely not near the quality of the west coast wines, but all were enjoyable. I particularly liked their Genesis 12, a red wine blend, and their Viognier, an impressive white. Wine flights are around $60 with a choice between white, red, or mixed. Bottles run around $40-100. A little pricey for the product, but then again, it's the whole experience that you are buying, and it's money well spent. Yonah Mountain Vineyards strikes the perfect balance between classy and casual. You'll be just as comfortable in jeans as in a tux or a horrid bridesmaid dress. Cheers!
