I made an appointment June 29 to have my shade sails cleaned by Sal from the Awning Cleaner. He has cleaned the sails in years past and he always does an excellent job. This time was no exception. Sal showed up as promised .He removed and covered the furniture from the deck and covered the deck in plastic. One of my sails is white and was pretty soiled, but after Sal and his helper cleaned them. they looked almost new. Before I discovered Sal from Awning Cleaners, I was never satisfied with the work from other cleaners, but Sal does amazing work. It was a happy accident when Sal rang my doorbell instead of my neighbor's. My motorized awning was not working and the bids I'd gotten for repair were exhorbitant. Sal evaluated the job and scheduled the repair for the next week for a fair price. No fuss, no big deal and my motor was replaced within a couple of hours. My awning is working beautifully again. I need to add that Sal went out of his way for me because the motor was under warranty and he set up the return to the manufacturer for me too. I'm in Santa Monica needed to have 6 awnings washed, waterproofed and reinstalled. Two large deep blue awnings were heavily impacted by moisture with an alge-like green covering large amounts of surface area. The white bindings were tattered and dirty. The house needed a complete wash prior to painting. Sal and his crew did an absolutely outstanding job in every respect. They expertly removed the awnings, washed and waterproofed the awnings, repaired some minor damage with matching material, and installed new white binding. Between the awning takedown and re-installation, they carefully washed the house with all the white trim, exposing areas needing paint touch up. Awning reinstallation was perfect. These are 1980s awnings with an old pipe framework, complicating the install. I could not be happier. Highly recommended! read more

The entire process went extremely well. They not only did a great job cleaning the top side of the awning, but also cleaned the underside. They were very cautious about the machinery they used to ensure that there was no damage to either one of the two awnings. Their prepping of the area was exceptional. They moved furniture out of the patio and covered everything so to prevent any damage to the furniture and cushions. Once the job was complete, they cleaned all the windows that were spotted and returned all the patio furniture to its original place. Sal even took pictures so he knew where to put the items to their original location . I made two inquiries on pricing of the awnings and Awning cleaners was by far the most reasonable price. We had a rainstorm that lasted 5 days straight. I noticed my window leaking in between the window itself and my awning (they are connected). I got in contact with Sal who came out a few days after our phone call and was so glad I did. He showed me that I had 3 inches of dirt piled up in my awning and told me that was the reason I had the leak in my window. He also mentioned there was an opening between the roof and awning where birds can build nests. He was extremely thorough when looking at my awning. We had another storm coming in just three days and he came out before go I wouldn't have anymore problems with my window. It died and Sal and his crew brought it back to life with experience and ingenuity. I now have a working awning hooked up to electric motor he found and altered it all to fit and still look good. We have three awning sails over our deck and they were VERY dirty with algae starting to form. I called Sal for a quote to have a single, small awning on the front of my house cleaned, and he stopped by the same day. He quoted a very reasonable price, and didn't care that it was just one awning; other companies have a minimum. When he came to clean the awning with his son, they did not rush it. They spent the amount of time necessary to clean it well. Then Sal came back the next day to apply a sealer to restore its water resistance. Very strange way to do business. Sal met me at my clients office in downtown Los Angeles. We discussed the replacement of some damaged panels on the existing awning and we discussed an ongoing maintenance and cleaning contract. Sal told me he would get back to me within a few days with a quote for both and I never heard back from him again. I called the office several times and spoke with a lady who said she would have Sal call me back. Well, this is going to be very hard to believe. I have hired Sal before; he has cleaned my outdoor canvas furniture, washed my windows, washed my house!... all very great. During Covid we were stuck out of town for a year and my Indian Kantha cloths that I use as decor on my furniture was left out on my cushions the entire time. They bled dark dye all over my white cushions, had been too wet and got really gnarly. I was sure these cushions would need replacing.
