My wife has had back issues even before pregnancy. However, with pregnancy, she was experiencing bad back pain even from before 20 weeks pregnant. I knew we needed to do something because it would only get worse. We asked a friend of ours who had a similar issue with her back and her recommendation was to find a chiropractor who specialized in pregnancies. Unfortunately, her chiropractor was way too far for us. I took a look on Yelp and found Dr. Anne with a flawless track record. 5/5 stars and many reviews to back it up. I read through a good amount of them and knew I wanted my wife to come here. I called and the receptionist was very friendly and answered some questions that I had upfront. After a day or two of considering whether or not we wanted to go down this path, we decided that it was worth the investment to see Dr. Anne. Granted, seeing her will probably not be covered under your insurance and it is not cheap, but so worth it. My wife has been seeing her since right around week 20 and has been coming every other week. She is always so relaxed and feels so much better after an adjustment with Dr. Anne. Here's a tip... make sure you can have time to take a nap afterwards because my wife always feels so relaxed and tired after her session! There was no sense of feeling rushed and she was extremely patient with us. Even when our daughter was being shy and not giving us the best angles, Terri didn't rush us or settle for "ok photos", she had my wife try different laying down positions to try and get the best angles. The stuffed animal with the heartbeat was a sweet surprise we didn't realize came included in our package. Follow along, I'll explain…read more After leaving an a updated review of a not so pleasant second experience, the owner and ultrasound technician both made it a point to get a hold of me & and not only apologize for my previous experience, they offered to give me a rescan at no charge. The only reason behind them doing so was to offer me the experience and service that I deserved. I went in today for my rescan & was greeted by the owner herself. What a wonderful person she is by the way! It looked like she had hired a few more people, which is great because this will minimize interruptions for the working tech. I was quickly taken back to the room and the scan began. Both the ultrasound technician and the owner were working together to get the best picture possible (again, I have an anterior placenta, so understandably it's difficult) they managed to get some really good pictures! The owner was very patient & she was genuinely interested in catching the baby's features in every picture she could capture. She always asked if I was ok or felt uncomfortable, It was a great experience from beginning to end. It was a pleasure coming back & the owner was thankful that we did and that we gave her the opportunity to regain our business. The fact that she went out of her way to make sure I had a perfect experience really shows how much she values her customers and her business. I respect and appreciate that. I interviewed so many great midwives, but as soon as I met Ana, I knew she was the right fit. She took me on late in my pregnancy (27ish weeks), and onboarding with her was so easy. The care that I received from her was supportive, kind, compassionate and steady. I appreciate how calm and nurturing she is while staying firm in her knowledge of pregnancy, birth, and of a woman's body overall. Her care is holistic and evidence-based, and she makes her clients actual partners in their care. We never did anything that I was uncomfortable with (which is almost unheard of in a hospital birth). When I started to go overdue, she was there to reassure me, and because she genuinely trusts the process of birth, she helped me trust my body as well. I had an absolutely amazing birth experience that my husband and I wouldn't trade for anything. My baby is two now (sorry this is so late!), but I still think of Ana often and so fondly. I knew I just had to trust my intuition and my gut on this one! After looking at Karen's bio on their website, I had such a good feeling. Staci (the owner), who was super friendly and professional, helped me get connected with Karen, and I booked an interview right away! Karen was so sweet and asked me about my pregnancy experience so far. We discussed how I wanted my birth to go and any concerns I had. There wasn't any pressure to hire her, and it just felt like she was already invested in me, like I was already family. My experience with Labor of Love was almost two years ago now but continues to upset me when thinking back on my experience. We hired Lauren as our doula, who made it clear she expected us to go far past my due date as a first time mom. While it's possible for that to happen, it didn't in my case. At 39 weeks and at 5am while in active labor and getting ready to head to the hospital, she let us know she had Covid. Her backup was Karen, who I wish we hired to begin with as she is far more caring and professional. Though unfortunately our experience still fell short and we ultimately delivered without Karen present. We were left feeling like we invested a lot of emotion and money into this process with ultimately no help. Staci has been incredibly rude to us since then and even revoked our access to watch her training videos, sending me a link to pay her once again when wanting to rewatch for our now second baby on the way. Karen herself even recommended we ask for a partial refund due to our experience, but Staci lacks the professionalism and courtesy to her clients. Truly mindblowing that she revoked access to the training videos after we had already paid for them. I would stay far away and recommend a more experienced and caring doula group.

At that point we were already 28 weeks pregnant and now had to find a midwife. Jessica was always so compassionate and helpful in answering all of our homebirth questions and concerns. She also invited family members to come to prenatal visits to feel more comfortable about our homebirth decision as well. That was a huge win for us! She took great care of me During pregnancy and each time we got to listen to our little girls heartbeat. I loved that she focused a lot on making sure I was getting great nutrition via food and supplementation to help make sure my body was as healthy it needed to be for delivery. When it came to Labor Day, Jessica's experience definitely prevailed! As I was slow to progress, she knew exactly what I needed to do in order to help Baby along. Her guidance and experience made our homebirth a reality. Her and her assistant were fabulous during our golden hour that we got to spend with our baby girl in our home. They took amazing care for me and the baby. Postpartum visits were so helpful and informative especially as a first time mom. Jessica took care / monitored both me and baby for six weeks. We put our full trust in her for caring for myself, our new baby girl and all our future babies.
