She spent nearly three hours with us, answering our questions and helping us find the right car seat and stroller/bassinet combination for our family's needs. When we decided on a car seat model that wasn't even listed on their website yet, Hannah went above and beyond by creating a custom order so we could get it as soon as it became available. My wife has arthritis, so we had done a tremendous amount of research beforehand. Being able to actually see, touch, and test the different products in person made all the difference. There is simply no substitute for hands-on experience when making such an important purchase. We ultimately chose the Cybex Callisto T 360 car seat and the Silver Cross Cove 2 stroller with bassinet, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. We also realized that Enlightened Baby carried many of the items on our baby registry. We ended up switching our registry purchases from major retailers to this wonderful small business. They offer delivery, warranties, and, most importantly, exceptional customer service. Supporting a local business while receiving such personalized care made the entire experience even more special. I can't recommend Enlightened Baby enough, especially if you're a first-time parent or want expert guidance on choosing the safest products for your family.

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with how Enlightened Baby has handled an issue with my…read morechair purchase. I placed my order for a chair on 7/4/2026 for $974.24. The chair was on backorder, and I was told the estimated arrival would be 4-6 weeks. I never received any notification about its arrival. On 8/11/2026, I called the store for an update and was told that an email had supposedly been sent two weeks earlier saying my chair was ready for pickup. I searched my inbox, spam, junk, and trash and found nothing. I was then told my email may have been entered incorrectly. I provided my correct email address, and within five minutes, I received the email to schedule my pickup. Before ordering, I had specifically called the store to ask about having the chair shipped to Enlightened Baby's warehouse versus directly to my home. The manager I spoke with told me that if I shipped it to the warehouse, a quality check would be performed before pickup. Since I live in Austin, I chose this option specifically because I wanted to make sure everything was correct before bringing the chair home. I finally picked up the chair on 8/15/2026 and brought it home. When I opened the box, I discovered that the power cord was missing, making the chair completely non-functional. I immediately called the store. During that conversation, I was asked whether my chair was "still under warranty" and whether I was "in a hurry" to receive the missing part. These were incredibly frustrating questions to hear after spending nearly $1,000, waiting weeks for a backordered item, and specifically choosing warehouse pickup because I was told the chair would be quality-checked. I explained that the chair had left their warehouse only about 30 minutes earlier and was already missing a critical component needed to make it functional. I was then told to respond to my original order confirmation email to address the issue. I was also specifically told not to send another email within 48 hours, because additional emails would cause my request to go to the bottom of the list. At that point, I was extremely frustrated. I purchased the chair from Enlightened Baby, picked it up from their warehouse, and was now being told that it was essentially my responsibility to track down a missing part through a generic email address and hope someone responded. No one responded within the 48 hours. I sent a follow-up email and have repeatedly called the store asking to speak with managers and requesting an update. Every manager I have spoken with has told me that the issue is "being worked on." I have simply asked for an email confirming that the issue is being handled so I have some written documentation. Still, not one email has been sent to me. I have been told that Katie is the person handling the issue, yet I have not heard a single word from Katie. As of 8/20/2026, I have received zero communication or updates, and I still have a completely non-functional chair sitting in my nursery. I understand that mistakes happen. What is most disappointing is the lack of communication and accountability. I would have been completely understanding if someone had simply apologized, explained what happened, and provided a clear plan and timeline for getting the missing part to me. For a $974.24 chair, I expected significantly better customer service. I should not have to repeatedly call, follow up, and chase down information about an issue that should have been caught during the quality check I was specifically told would happen. I sincerely hope Enlightened Baby addresses this situation and improves its communication with customers when something goes wrong. Right now, I am left with a very expensive, unusable chair in my nursery and still no answers or timeline for when I will receive the missing power cord.

For more than half of my time in the store I continuously had multiple workers staring me down, and then two just following me around multiple times which gives me the feeling that I'm being looked at like I'm going to steal. This normally wouldn't bother me because I'm not a thief but it bothers me because I've given zero reason for anyone to be looking at me or following me like this. It creates a nasty narrative, and a hostile environment. Until you've been given a reason to need to follow someone, don't... I'm an indecisive person, but I'm also a gay male in a thrift store playing gospel music, so it's bad enough I already feel like I'm not wanted here but to follow me around and look at me while talking to co workers multiple times doesn't put a good feeling on a customer. And there's a chance that maybe this wasn't the case but I'd be an easy target. There's not a huge selection of men's clothes or shoes and if there is it's mixed up with the women's so I look in ever aisle and I feel like I got stares because I was in the women's aisles but there was a plethora of women's things in the men's aisle so maybe they just need to reorganize? The prices on some things seems incredibly capitalist, I see a whole couch for $19.99 which is a great price, but then I'm looking at a pair of shoes for $24.... Where's the relief in that LOL I have to admit they have some pretty good items, but the prices seem greedy. I don't know how much of the proceeds go to disaster relief but if it's not 100% then it seems pretty disturbing, prices are getting to be like Goodwills and there's no good will in that ‍ All in all, this truly is a great store but this was not a good experience for me so I may seek another store.
