I ordered a pair of Viking winter boots size 24 for my grandson from this store shipping to the USA. I made this order because we have already had Viking winter boots size 22 and we were very happy about them. They sent me a pair that was marjed as size 24 but they appeared to be even smaller than the pair that we have already had size 22. The pair was stuffed with paper so hard we could not really take it out for quite a while. They were looked like soneone has already returned them. And they have been probably already aware that it' a wrong size but still sebd it with a duscount. I sent them a claim stating that the pair was mismarked with the size and attached a photo if both pairs. Because their website would not let to finish return process which by the way cost you 27$ out of 89$ that was originally paid including19$ shipping. They replied with "you could return". It took a few days to get a reply from them, then reply to their reply and so on. Finally they said " your return option was expired, sorry for inconvenience" I would not recomend using this shop. The shop looks small on the outside, but it is packed to brim with stuff. I was welcomed by the sweet owner and she assisted me with some items I wanted to sell. She's incredibly friendly & helpful- BUT the amount she offered me for high end items were really low. I understand it's a consignment store, but I expected to get a little more than that. Her store credit offers were a bit more reasonable though- almost doubling the cash offer, but unfortunately I wasn't looking to buy anything. I ended up taking my items back, but it was still worth a try and she was courteous till the end. I did browse to see if anything would catch my eye and I noticed that the prices were very fair. Great customer service! I think we need to remember this is a consignment store/ most items are used. We can't except new at a consignment store but sometimes we get lucky and find brand new items for a great price. Some might think the prices are high for second hand but if that is how you feel maybe you can shop when they run there frequent special promotions (all the time) just follow them of Facebook and you will see. Once's a month Facebook followers get 20% percent off for the whole week. Just by following them. They have grandparents Tuesday every Tuesday again 20% percent off. I even saw on memorial weekend military got 40% percent off which was great. Coming here means your supporting a small business, which also means your supporting a small family. I have shopped at consignment my entire life, for myself and my young children. This place reminds me of a Goodwill or a rundown thrift store. Not a consignment shop. Some items were over priced, such as a Carter's Baby Boy romper you can get new at the Carter's store for $5 (if they are on sale). The Baby Shop priced the same romper used for $5.99. Outfits were $13 - $20. Sorry, but I can get those much cheaper new from another store. Nothing fancy about the clothes sold at The Baby Shop either. Found the store hard to shop with my stroller. Racks were too close together (stroller got stuck on storage containers and toys under the racks) or someone was down the aisle I needed to go down, so I had to turn around with my stroller. Baby bibs and miscellaneous baby items (socks, hats, nursing items, baby towels, baby blankets, etc.) were cramped into dresser drawers or storage containers. Huge amount of bottles, shopping cart covers, car seat accessories were all crammed into storage containers. Diapers were on one shelf and another across that shelf. Shoes were not sized and it smelled of feet in the shoe area. Found the pop-its to be too pricey. No need for maternity items for myself, so I did not look in that area. This was my first and last visit to this store. Will just continue to shop at other consignment stores in the area. read more

Recently bought two identical wiggle car racers from The Baby Shop. My wife called in to put them on hold and I picked them up during my lunch. The cars were already up at the counter when I arrived and looked very gently used. I visually looked at them, turned them around to see each side, checked the condition of the wheels and assumed they were still in great condition based on what I saw. I purchased both. Unfortunately, I did not test them out at the shop, and how I handled them would not have shown the front steering wheel and metal tube no longer clasped together well. I checked them out by picking them up by the seats and did not know one had the issue until I got home after work. When I brought them inside the house, I went ahead and wiped them down with Clorox wipes, so the kids wouldn't catch any germs, if any. While wiping them down, I held the steering wheel to one and the metal tube slipped about one inch down the steering wheel socket. It was still attached so I pushed it back in. I put the car down and tested the steering wheel and found that the tube no longer clasped tightly in the steering wheel socket and didn't allow the driver to steer well. I told my wife and she immediately called the shop. They agreed to refund us and we agreed to drop it off. Nothing else was said. This ordeal was about two weeks ago. We go into the shop today to look for items for our toddler. I did not notice it but the lady gave my wife a negative look (found out later). We spend about 10 minutes looking for items and then go up to the cash register. The lady says that she was told by the owner (her older sister) that they can no longer sell anything to us. Wow! My wife and I have supported the shop for several years by giving them bags of clothes to sell on consignment. On several occasions they would lose our items and not know if they were sold or not. We are all about supporting local businesses and even though their operations needed work, we still supported them...until today. read more

Is Baby Shop the best kids store in Vacaville? YESS - without a doubt! Whoever has anything negative about Baby Shop is delusional! I have shopped there for the past 2 years and have never been displeased and I am a loyal customer, NON-Family member, who knows the customer service in this store is excellent. Always greeted - they know most customers by name - and they care about how to help you and don't hassle you to make a sale. I have bought plenty of toys from them, and everything is always in tact/works. To the lady Andrea and Justus - I am amazed that you guys would write such horrible reviews. Maybe the horrible persons are YOU? If your being banned from the store - obviously your a difficult customer because no business person would lose business UNLESS it was worth loosing. Ever since my son was born, I've been going here. I love the place. It has a variety of baby stuff that you will need. They also have adult clothes and shoes which I found amazing. Yesterday, I went to look for snowsuits for my son. Unfortunately, they ran out but I found one for myself at a very affordable price and it was good quality. The customer service is very awesome, the lady assured me she will give me a call when they get more snowsuits. She was very nice and accommodating. This was my second or third time bringing baby clothes to the store to sell to them. Previously I did not have any issues with them although this time I brought about four or five bins all labeled with what sizes were in them, all folded neatly and filled to the brim. At the time that I dropped them off I was not told that they were no longer doing cash value for the items but only store credit. I went to pick up my items and all bins were about half full in which they told me they would give me store credit for the items they wanted to keep. I did not want store credit because my son does not need anything at the moment and we live in a small apartment so I was trying to get rid of items and get cash for gas money instead and so I apologized and told them that I didn't realize it was only store credit and asked for my items back so that I could sell them instead . The girl at the counter only gave me a few of my items back and when I went home I realize that all my sons Jordans Nike shoes that were in the bins were missing so I called back and had to drive back to get the shoes back although I am still missing many many items . Do not do business with this place they are liars and thieves and will steal from you if you let them. This is not an honest business at all and shame on them for taking advantage of single moms who need the money. read more

I love this consignment shop! It is close to our home and in a great location. The owner, Maria is so great. She is warm and welcoming. We had a great conversation as she showed us around the store. She's a mom and has a lot of good advice for a first time mom too! The baby clothes I've purchased are always clean, in great shape and well organized. The store also has a wide variety of Mommy and baby products including diapers in smaller packages (if you don't need a whole pack of one size), bottle warmers, shoes, toys, bouncy chairs, strollers, cribs, etc. She has new items for sale also including lotions, new outfits, vitamins, Preggo Pops and baby care items. I haven't sold anything yet but I will soon. Her strategy seems very fair. The best part- there are multiple individual rooms including a room to nurse if you need privacy and a full baby changing station with wipes, diapers, etc! If I had to post a downfall, it would be the parking. There's a small parking lot next to the store but it's usually full so you have to find parking around downtown. read more

I went into The Baby Shop today with my toddler today and I loved the store! The staff was soooo friendly, so helpful, and took almost everything I had (baby toys) brought in. I was so happy to get them off of my hands. The store is super cute! And has everything!!! They have a cute little corner set up for kids and they didn't even mind that he played. The store is super clean and organized and I was so impressed that they had so much for Mommy's too! (i.e. purses, clothes, diaper bags, etc..). They don't give cash back at this time, but instead give you store credit on these cute little vouchers that don't have your name on it, so it can be interchangeable and given as gifts of you wanted to. I've been there twice. I get they are a business that sells second hand and new items. But to sell a dirty well used pair of toddler sneakers for 4.99 is a rip off to me. Dirty obviously worn things should cost $1 or 2. Not 5. A family in need wouldn't even come in here if they knew. They have some new toys priced for what the store sells them for. That's also a rip off for something they got donated. It should be half price or Maybe a few bucks over half price. I come only when they have sales and I price check which items cost what new online and research ect and check for quality and cleanliness. Meh. When it comes to them buying your used items they dont want to buy something that has a missing part which i get but literally you are selling items that having missing parts . i just went to take in a bouncer new condition jist missing the dangling toy which they would not buy because of that one toy but i wanted to purchase a walker which the tray or sometype of toy was missing from it so your going to sell me. Amazing family-run business. Great prices -- lower than the local buy-and-sell Facebook pages and WAY lower than Once Upon a Child.
