The bars are efficient and there's rarely a big back-up. They offer several CBD/THC options, a decent bar, a selection of pre-made cocktails as well as, at this time, CBD/Delta treats. Their rail alcohol options aren't bottom of the barrel rail. They've just switched to cash-free, so plan accordingly. They also have an on-site ear plug machine, which makes me sad, but I know is a boon for many. Sadly, there hasn't been a bar/food option available on the ground floor for a while. The seating is dependent on the show - sometimes there is, sometimes there ain't. I'm at the point where that's a deciding factor for me, I want to sit, or at least have the choice to sit. I'm not in love with the entryway stair case. Two floors until you can access the performance level. It's slow and cumbersome. They really need a waiting area inside for people getting a ride share, because parking is expensive and limited here.The Deer District area is sometimes chaotic and sometimes scary. It would be great, especially in winter, to wait inside for a Lyft or an Uber. But after all of that, I've seen some great shows here and made some great memories, so cheers to Turner Hall! Way to give a giant screw you to your customers & open yourself up to lawsuits when people with health problems fall ill on your watch. Do better.

It is a small place that gets packed in for some heavy hitting headliners and expect a top notch show! It is small and intimate enough to talk to people and the performers during and after the show. Throw in the extra $10 for the VIP wristband that gets you access to the private bar/lounge area, stage left "VIP area" that over looks most of the crowd, and the views of the back of the stage. Drinks aren't over priced, security is just doing their job and not over bearing, the sound is pumping and wear plugs if you are not into that, and the visuals are always flowing, funny, and trippy. Expect the feel the music. There is usually the crews and people that have after parties that are an ootion for people wanting to keep the fun going after 3:00 a.m. The last time I was there I got a flyer for an after-afterhours party was from 6:00 a.m. to noon. Whoa. Milwaukee. Respect to the Brew City Bass Crew for bringing the constant unbeatable worldwide talent and keeping in tune with Milwaukee's underground music scene.

Later their "security guy" said I had to move, which was super f***** awkard because it was just me chilling there with a beer and there were like... 5 people in the in the entire bulding AND it was already 10:50. Never seen such an uptight excuse for a high end club. Guys...I appreciate the work you put into the dance floor and the renovations...but this isn't New York! It's Oakland Ave in Milwaukee next to a Gyro resturant and a Goodwill. Just beyond weird and awkward experience. I'm not gonna be back ever again.

Run by the Colectivo crowd, it looks just like the Back Room, high ceilings adorned with metal trusses, fake and real plants, and no soundproofing. Checking in with the app the employees were super nice! Really refreshing. If you follow live music in Milwaukee you've already heard about the talking crowds and bad sightlines from the Buffalo Nickels show and a co-worker said the same about the Charlie Paar show. We were there early so got a good spot closer to the stage, but even close up the stage could stand to be higher. Luna was sounding good but the guitarist was noting a ghost in his equipment, band members seemed to be wincing from sound issues. Something for the club to figure out. Went to watch from the back and the room sound is really good. Sightlines are horrible back there, as the stage needs to be higher. The crowd was so talkative during the whole show, my friend noted people are disengaged from the bad sightlines, so that makes sense. Stand in front of the truss with the wifi device for a better engaged crowd, good sound and better sight lines. Bar offerings are good, bathrooms are clean and stylish. A solid three stars (OK) with room for improvement.

The interior decor appears to have been moved directly over from the Back Room at Collectivo, with the same ceiling treatment and plants - both real and faux. The bar is also pretty much the same, with mixed drinks, wine, beers and non alcoholic options. Seating at this show was all folding chairs, but the staff brought out more when they saw the size of the crowd in attendance. Perhaps it was our average collective age. There are a few loveseats and high stools along the right side of the room. It is not a fantastic acoustic space, with it's abundance of hard surfaces and no soft finishes, but it is intimate and allows you to get right up by the musicians. The bathrooms, at least the women's, are large with plenty of stalls and flattering lighting. This is a good replacement for the Back Room - essentially a carbon copy - but you have some chance of parking successfully over here as the street is less busy. There are also plenty of restaurants around for pre-show eats.

We grabbed some drinks (wine, beer, bourbon) and fries with wings. The fries were good if not a little overly salty but perfect for what you'd like with drinks. Heard the espresso martini was not worth the price tag and the pineapple was a bit off-putting in it. Staff were friendly and quick to grab anything we needed. We also asked after checking out the venue space and were able to get a quick tour from one of the managers. Very cool space with a lot of events going on.

Positive: * The venue is a beautiful building near some fantastic food, I enjoyed and recommend The Bay nearby. * Security was legit, a guy in front of me had overstuffed pockets and security wouldn't let him pass even as he complained and tried to socially pressure them into letting him through. That made me feel very safe. * The bathrooms were very nice, although I don't think they had any upstairs that I could see. * It was cool being close to the artists, upstairs is a smaller venue. Negative: * The audio was rough. There was a Lot of feedback and I felt bad for the artists (opener and headliner) as I watched them try and navigate it. One of them said something like "great new venue, right?" And someone in the crowd shouted "doodoo!" which was funny but also captured the frustration of the crowd that we couldn't fully enjoy the performance. The artist tactfully replied "we're breaking it in." It was ridiculous to see audio and staff people walking around with headsets trying to look legit with these issues going on. All of this distracted from the experience and made me angry. I wouldn't schedule as an artist for the upper venue unless I knew the audio issues were resolved.

They have some hi tables in the middle room but it's a small bar that looks like it's having a decor crisis because it lacks decor like it was just thrown together. The beer selection was quite impressive to me, for a corner bar, but then, I'm not a beer drinker, so you might think the selection sucks. The place is listed as Una Cafe here on Yelp, but honestly, I didn't see anything cafe-like about this place. All I saw was booze. There are two facebook pages, one calling this place Una Cafe and the other Una Bar. I believe that for events like Packers games, it is pot-luck (they MAY also bring some food in). As for making and serving food on site, I don't think they do that. Una is located at the corner where Forest Home, Oklahoma and 44th street intersect. Their parking lot is pretty small, but there is plenty of parking on the street. This place is definitely NOT the club/college bar that I thought it was! 131/2015
