But, there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that is out of an Agent's control that this customer may not be aware of. But just to be clear and transparent, I do not know or work for this Agent. I have called this Agent's office twice to ask a few questions. I spoke with two ladies in this office and the Agent, Frank. They all were very helpful and kind. I was never asked to write a review as our conversation was strictly professional as I had a few questions for the Agent. When the Agent or staff write a policy, they can sell the policy based on the information you provided on your application. But, if there are things on your insurance history / record that you did not advise of on your application, these things are found when the policy application is sent to Underwriting to process and write. There are specific items that can determine your risk and if that insurer can write your policy. If something on your insurance record comes up once Underwriting receives your application that changes the policy from being able to be written, Underwriting usually sends a letter, and corporate refunds your payment. This does not come from the Agent's office. The Agent and staff are usually not aware of it right away either. They have no control or say over this as well. With this being said, it can take a few weeks to get everything processed and the correct documentation sent to you with your refund as it is all through corporate. I can see where this customer was upset, as she didn't know the process and thought the Agent was maybe behind this. I hope this helps someone reading this. I took the time to write this as I had nothing but great customer service and a pleasant experience with this Agent and his staff. They were highly professional and prompt when helping me. Cheers!

Not only did she help us pick out a new auto policy that saved us thousands of dollars per year, she was also able to help us get BETTER COVERAGE for our homeowners, umbrella, and flood policies for less money. Over the past six months, they have: Completely neglected to tell us about the photo inspection until after it passed (and after we had it taken care of). A week later we got a letter, after the policy would have lapsed. Sent us the policy for the wrong vehicle. We were going to buy two, and changed our minds. A month after the purchase of the only vehicle, we got the policy for the one we didn't buy... When we called them up, they seemed clueless as to why it appeared. Forgot to charge us for a section on our bill, then surprise pro-rate us for it later! Because who doesn't love when their insurance payment is 1.5x times the normal amount without any discussion? They are not very good at the whole "calling you back" thing, which just seems unprofessional. Maybe they forget, but my old agent always remembered to do that, so I know it's possible. State Farm is a good insurance company. Too bad this place is just hurting its reputation.

At the continued insistence of a good friend, I decided to visit the Sheedy Insurance Services on Empire Boulevard in Webster. What an eye-opener I received after speaking with Lisa Sheedy. I then realized I had been dealing with an Insurance Agent for the past 30 years and for the first time I was now speaking with an Insurance Advisor. Lisa reviewed our insurance needs for our two homes and four cars. She made changes to our policies which saved us 30% on our previous policy premiums. But that wasn't the best part. Lisa dramatically increased our homes coverages, added sewer backup, water line issues, and a million-dollar blanket policy.
