I have worked in a staffing agency, I understand it's not easy. I applied for a job that I didn't…read morerealize was a contract position through craigslist and received a phone call immediately. The woman that called me was very terse and very critical of my resume. I was thinking, okay maybe my resume is not written good enough for a temp agency, they do see a LOT of resumes so I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for the interview, even though I wasn't sold on the job. Also, with the unemployment rate as high as it is... She could have been nicer! geez o pete! Back to the facts. She told me parking instructions would be in a following email, there were no instructions. Best I could guess was the phrase 'the appointment will take about 30 minutes' means "pay the meter accordingly." I'm glad I even found the meter after I had just passed a lot for $4 and not having that much cash on me. I get up to suite 675 and there are not numbers on any of the suites, I happened to see a TRC Staffing sign inside of a suite, with the sign direction inward, not towards the door. I was 45 minutes early (I misjudged how long it would take me to get downtown, and had run errands before hand) I was promptly told that I could not fill out the application that had been emailed to me "because that's just not how they do it." they could not print it out, and they could not let me sit at a computer to work on it there, when it was sent to me that morning, while I was getting ready for the interview. I was promptly sent out the door. Best option was to reschedule, since I was so off put by everything else, I was just done. In today's economy with so many people unemployed for such long amounts of time, I cannot understand how this place gets by. The potential employee is the customer!!! Be nice to them! Cater to them, entice them to work for you!
