I've been taking classes at The Bar Method Madison for over two years now. When looking for a new exercise routine I took a trial class. It was so good that immediately afterward I signed up for a monthly membership. The staff are warm and welcoming, the instruction and variety of classes is excellent and the atmosphere is lovely. Some exercise studios can feel cliquey and exclusionary but it is far from the case at the Madison studio; it's a friendly and supportive community of nice and normal people. When Covid hit, the studio did an amazing job of pivoting to an online model and immediately offered classes via Zoom. It was great to be able to maintain a regular exercise routine when locked at home. Since then, the offerings have evolved to a hybrid of online live and in-person classes and access to recordings on a daily basis; the ultimate in accessibility and flexibility. I have not gone back to an in person class yet but that has more to do with how easy I'm finding the online options than any safety concerns. I see the way the in-person classes are run when I participate in the live stream. Everything is done by the book. I've been a Bar Method member for close to 2 yrs now... I love the workout, it has made me feel like a woman again plus I am stronger then I have been in years. Coming to the studio is my happy place and has giving me (after becoming a mom) a place that is just for me where I can focus on me. The Madison Studio is more then just a place to workout. They have really created a community focused on the well being of their clients. I felt this community / family connection with the staff and member from day 1. Over the past 2 months (i'm writing this during COVID-19) they have managed to stay connected to their clients, deliver a variety of ways for their clients to be able to continue taking classes either with in-home live classes at a variety of times during the day or providing links of the pre-recorded class from that day to take at your convenience. They have continued to keep their clients connected during this time and continue to provide additional support for their members focused on overall well being. read more

As a client of The Bar Method workout for over 12 years I can easily say that it is the smartest, most efficient workout around. The Bar Method Madison is a really special studio space. It is by far the best workout I've had in years! The studio is clean, bright, and airy. Gina and the entire staff are Amazing! They are all so welcoming and I've always been impressed in how they know every members name. The works outs are fantastic, with lots of attention to toning individual muscle groups, form, and positive reinforcement. I always leave the studio feeling centered and calm. The Bar Method Madison went above and beyond this past year during Covid. The cleanliness of the studio is impeccable and Gina has been able to live stream her studio classes to members at home who are not able to come due to the pandemic. I have been a client of Bar Method Madison for 2 years now. As a runner for 30+ years, I was looking for a complementary workout for overall muscle tone and fitness. I landed in the very best spot. You don't need any fitness experience when you walk through the doors but you can also be an accomplished athlete. Bar Method truly is for everyone. All the teachers are friendly and fantastic. They undergo constant training in order to deliver a safe, effective and fun workout! The staff is wonderful as well. During the pandemic, the studio owner Gina S. did not miss a beat. Clients can live stream from home, take on-demand classes, or take classes in the studio where all Covid safety protocols are being strictly followed. Not just an awesome workout but a great support system. You want to come back bc it helps your mind, body and soul. No fear of "gym peer pressure or judging" here. The moment you walk in you are welcomed and encouraged with genuine kind spirits. I honestly do not know what I would do without this community. While I am not physically going to the studio, I feel just as connected with the virtual live streamed and recorded classes. It's amazing how they do it but it is a gift. Can't say enough about the workout which leans out a body like no other. Lots of ways to modify and push to challenges. Don't be afraid to start not matter what your level. Best thing you'll do for yourself is sign up at Bar Method Madison! I did a year ago and haven't looked back. The workout is challenging. The staff are incredibly supportive and super helpful...and they've done an incredible job of ensuring that members continue with their Bar workouts throughout this pandemic year (live stream classes, recorded classes, outdoor classes, limited attendance indoor classes with mask on...check, check, check and all with member safety in mind!). They ensure that there is a strong sense of community among members with ongoing communication, form clinics, healthy living tutorials and fun challenges! I have been practicing at Bar Method Madison for a year and a half and I couldn't possibly love it any more than I do! The teachers and staff are amazing- knowledgeable, professional, energetic, and unbelievably supportive. The Bar Method Madison is so much more than a fitness studio. After my second child I thought for sure my mommy pouch was here to stay, that was until a friend of mine suggested I try The Bar Method in Madison where she has been going for a while. I had initially resisted as I thought it was expensive and I have never spent that much on working out, but let me tell you, to start, I tried their one month special and have not looked back. Truly the only workout I have thoroughly enjoyed and look forward to. In the past two months I have become leaner, stronger, healthier and happier. Since the pandemic, Gina (owner) and her staff have gone above and beyond anything I could of ever imagined. I've been a member of Bar Method Madison for 4 years and I've done almost 1300 classes so far. There are a wide variety of classes available every day for beginners and advanced students alike. It is the most welcoming place, where the professionally trained teachers know everyone's name and instruct and encourage all throughout the class. You never take the same class twice! The staff is wonderful and so are the other members of the studio. I have really enjoyed going to my bar classes in madison for several years.. all the instructors are very receptive to clients who are older, have physical problems, pregnancy, etc and help us modify every exercise individually. The outdoor classes were awesome during the pandemic and now indoor with limited number of clients attending, makes people feel safe while keeping their health as a priority. Bar Method Madison has a special place in my heart. I started attending the studio while pregnant and was welcomed with smiling faces and an abundance of modifications so that I could participate in classes up until the day I had my baby girl. The instructors are friendly, encouraging, and knowledgeable. One huge bonus is that they have a great schedule...a time for everyone.
