Before leaving Markham, I was looking for a similar place to get tea drinks that I have been…read moreenjoying at Zeev's Nutrition (no sugar and lots of flavours) while in the Twin Cities. I did a quick search and found Hangout Nutrition. I planned on heading over there after my workday. My current trip is a combination of pleasure and remote work. Luckily, I start my day early and have the rest of the day to be a tourist. Google had this place open till 6 pm on weekdays. I left the hotel just after 3:30 pm and got to Hangout Nutrition six minutes after 4 pm. I parked. There is a ridiculous number of parking spots in the plaza and walked over to the store. My stomach sank when I saw that it closed at 4 pm on weekdays. I took a chance and tugged the door open. It wasn't locked. There was a customer ahead of me chatting with the male staff member. I was hoping that he'd take my order. He reassured me that he would never turn customers away just after closing time, which was great and much appreciated. I wanted a pomegranate drink. Besides the pomegranate tea staring at me on the menu, I asked him what other drinks had pomegranate. He advised that they would be in the level 2 drinks. He said that Captain America had it. I asked if Jolly Rancher did. Sure enough, it's a pomegranate drink with a pomegranate flavour boost. Sold! I ended up getting a regular drink. It looked like a large bubble tea with a plastic seal on top. I am so used to a gigantic drink that I'll need to upgrade to a mega next time. My drink was just over $5, which was reasonable. I paid with my credit card. Payment was smooth. I learned that this place used to be Hangout Nutrition before it changed its name to 6fifty1 Nutrition (651 is the original area code for Saint Paul). It then closed and resurrected itself as Hangout Nutrition last month. Cool! My drink tasted great. The pomegranate flavour was strong and yummy. It was refreshing as I sipped it driving over to get a workout in. I am a fan. I need to return and try more flavours. It's nice to get my tea fix away from home. (432)

If this company has cameras with audio, I would encourage them to listen back to order 6525 that was placed today, March 19th, 2026 around 5:45 PM. I came to support this establishment because I have yet to do so since the opening, and was excited to contribute to the success of a black owned business. The grounds were clean, and the music was a vibe. I placed my order at the Kiosk, and paid nearly $25 for a $9 juice and $10 smoothie with tax. Both products were wonderful. However, that's not my concern. The service was without a doubt unprofessional and uncomfortable. The man serving the community today began to chat with me, catching up because we were familiar with one another from my previous employer. After asking where I was working now, he began to solicit me with job opportunities within Life Juices and on his own personal product line, offering me $500 to assist him with marketing. (Mind you, this is very similar to the conversation we had when I met him the first time, he let me know then that he's co-owner of Life Juices and also offered me job opportunities.) When I declined, he asked why do "black women" act like this or that (I don't remember exactly what was said) At this point, I'm annoyed and offended. After I respectfully read him his rights, I told him I don't want him to make my juice and I'd like my money back. He randomly referred to himself as a Pharaoh and let me know that he would begin making my order. As I'm waiting for my order, two other patrons walk up to place an order. The man serving took this as an opportunity to poke fun at me with one of them, saying I don't recognize a Pharaoh when I see one, and dapping up the stud. Now, I did my best to be a good sport. They began to joke that I don't even know what Pharaoh means. I decide that I'm not going to pay attention anymore. As I bend down to give my three year old juice, the patron leaned over to ask "do you know what pharaoh mean" I responded and said "it means King". She then returned to the conversation with the man working discussing how women need to do better when they see a Pharaoh (that's just a paraphrase) Now if you get a chance to listen to the audio, I was referred to out of my name during this conversation (meaning the b word) and I'm trying to figure out how did we get here when I just came to order some juice that I didn't even want in the first place- just supporting a local business. SMH I'm so upset, honestly. The audacity of these people to refer to me out of my name in front of my three year old son was so distasteful. The audacity to include this random patron that I don't know to poke fun at any person, but me..? a person who just supported your establishment. All because I declined your advances? If you're reading this, shame on you. Do better.

Ashley, who has whipped up healthy shakes and loaded teas at North Country Nutrition (NCN), let me…read moreknow that she was splitting her time between that location and Simpley Nutrition. She is the mastermind behind many of the yummy recipes at NCN that I was excited to check out this place. I dropped by during my first full day in the Twin Cities. Simpley Nutrition is located in Inver Grove Heights (IGH). It's perfect when I am on my way to Rochester. It's also nice to say that I have visited another place in IGH other than Target. This place is in a plaza, across from Cub Foods, including its pharmacy. I had no problem finding a parking spot steps away from the main entrance. I backed into the spot and walked in. I got to meet Ashley's husky, who has the most beautiful piercing eyes and greeted me so warmly. It was great seeing her again, but in a different nutrition studio. The cool thing is that she has the same December shake and tea menus at both NCN and Simpley Nutrition. It makes her life easier. It also makes mine easier ordering at either place. I forgot to ask her about the name Simpley. I know that there is a lake nearby called Simley Lake. I need to find out what the P stands for. I'm thinking Protein. I got the following drinks: - Christmas carol tea - Christmas crack (Heath) shake I also got a couple of cake batter donuts on the house. The idea is that you sign in on the touchpad with your phone number. I'm already registered in the system, so I selected my name and I was good. If you're new, you fill in your name to register and you're done. i paid with a credit card. I was able to tip, too. Ashley didn't take long to make my drinks. I asked that the whipped cream be held on my shake. Done! I thanked her, said goodbye to her husky, and headed down to Rochester with my drinks. The best part was sipping and finishing my shake for most of my hour drive down to Rochester. The Christmas crack shake tastes just like a Heath bar. I loved the toffee bits. There was some chocolate and chopped nuts. So good! It made my drive down great. I had my Christmas carol tea for the rest of my trip down to northern Iowa and back up to the Twin Cities. It had peach, mango, raspberry, and orange. I loved it. It had all my favourite flavours rolled into a tea. I like the sports jerseys that are framed on the walls. The Minnesota Wild is featured a few times, which made my day. It's a deep studio. I liked being there. It felt comfortable. I'll be back. It's great that I have another nutrition studio for no to low sugar in teas and shakes. (491)

I have purchased turkey a few times that has gone bad in my fridge before or immediately after the sell by date. I have a brand new fridge as well, so that can't be blamed. When you charge this much for turkey, it should at least last until the sell by date. I also don't appreciate how when you purchase a smoothie, they pour massive amounts of it down the drain when it doesn't fit into your cup. At least set those out as samples. It is extremely wasteful.

I'm glad that non-members can shop here, though, because I really enjoyed walking around. They had an aisle with bulk goods in bins, which I don't often see around here. I was mostly there to check out the cheese selection, and what I found pleased me greatly. They had a nice variety of cheeses, including many top-level local makers. They also had diverse jams, honeys, and crackers to go along with cheese; those were arranged atop the cheese gondola and on a nearby shelf. Checkout was fast, the checker very welcoming and pleasant. I'd definitely visit this market and others in the chain if I come across them again.
