I've generally liked Crisp & Green for their food, but this experience was frustrating enough to speak up. I ordered a Fiesta Bowl, and after fees, tax, and tip, it came out to $36--which is already pretty steep. When it arrived, it was missing multiple ingredients. I called to ask about it, and the only "solution" offered was a $0.70 credit because they were out of those items. At that price point, it's not about the 70 cents--it's about getting what you ordered. What really bothered me was that no one thought to call, text, or email to let me know they were out so I could adjust my order. When I asked about that, I was met with a dismissive response--"why would we do that?"--which honestly made the situation worse. The food itself is usually good, but service and communication matter--especially when you're charging premium prices. There are plenty of alternatives out there that offer similar food with much better customer service. This experience makes it hard to justify ordering from here again. read more

Every time I've been here weather it's for take out or dine in it's been on point. I love that their menu always features different salads depending on the season. I had a date night and decided to dine in with my partner and he had the Cesar and I had squash goals. I love that the Cesar always comes with this delicious Parmesan crisp. I had the squash goals which I paired with slices of bread. I love that if you order for dine in they will serve it on glass bowls. You also get to decide how much dressing you want. I always go for medium which seems to be the perfect amount! They offer a lot of seating and have great drink options as well as açaí bowls. Once my favorite place in the neighborhood but has since gone downhill. Ordered the curry bowl a week ago and was delicious so tried it again yesterday. They "Forgot" the black rice so I went back for it. Wish I wouldn't have as I soon found out why it was left off. Huge, hardened globs of black rice were put in my bowl. This location has really gone downhill. Went tonight and behind the counter was a mess. There was bits of food everywhere, everyone seemed stressed, and only 2 employees were wearing their masks properly. If you're going to require your employees to wear masks, at least ensure they're going to wear it properly (I.e not chin diapers). Our food was ok. But not like it used to be. I know this is fast becoming a franchise, so maybe that's why the quality feels lacking. Lately it just feels like the food isn't as fresh, and my experiences at the Grand Ave location have always been kind of iffy at best. The downtown location is way cleaner. read more

This is my "home" C&G based on proximity. I've never had any issues. This location specifically is very clean and I truly believe the staff has every intention of moving the line as quickly as they can. Typical lunch hours can become very busy and for that reason, I have had better luck going for dinner (especially if you are in a time crunch). They also do online mobile orders if that fits you better! I'm a big fan of the smoothies and I'll be honest, there have been a few times I go just to get my fruit intake and I don't even order a salad. Tip: If you do get a salad, try the buffalo chicken on your salad as opposed to the protein it comes with (swap out). You won't regret it. Ps: Be prepared to spend some dollars here. Their app is super simple and makes curbside order to go so easy! What I love about this location is the friendly and polite staff! Even when they are super busy! Usually when I order curbside pick up, my order is ready on time- in the couple times that it wasn't the staff were so professional and always apologized even when I said it was not a problem. One time a staff even gave me a vegan rice crispy bar (which was amazing btw) on the house for having my order 20 mins after the estimated pick up time, which I didn't mind waiting and was in no rush. I am a huge fan of Crisp & Green and I'm so excited about this new location on Grand Ave! When I walked in the young woman working there was so friendly and warm, greeted me, and walked me through all of the chef-selected salads. After listening to what I was in the mood to try, she recommended the Chef Curry 2.0. It was SO. GOOD.!!! Rice, tofu, sweet potatoes, cabbage, carrots, fajita peppers, with a curry dressing on top... heaven in every bite!!! It was priced at around $10, and was a large enough portion for two meals. Crisp & Green is absolutely wonderful, and I can't wait to come back and try more of what's on the menu! Street parking can be tough on Grand Ave, but if you can't find a spot up front, check out some of the residential streets nearby for free parking. read more

Used to love this place on Grand Avenue - picked up often during the worst of COVID. In the last few months our orders have been inaccurate. Been told twice (two different managers) that we would get refund on our credit card for orders in May and June. Not done. Called to complain and was told it would be done right away. Not done. Sent an email detailing this to C&G. Update: We have now received a gift card in lieu of refunds and have been assured that changes have been made, including additional staff training.
