My In-laws and two friends have been represented by The Barber Law Firm, both wonderful experiences.

In Jan of 2024 my son was extremely hurt in a pool pump explosion, caused by negligence of the pool service company I was paying for to service my pool. my son was severely hurt, causing burns to his face, arm and chest. Initially this law firm seemed to care and be persistent to take the case and do something with it. However, after signing medical release forms and sending them photos of the progress of burns and medical appointments it never seemed good enough. I was consistently harassed by this office of different paralegals nearly weekly, always someone new. As a veteran who has doctor appointments myself, I cannot always answer my phone at appointments or even at work, NOT all jobs allow you to take personal calls and frequently. I was always being told there was someone new, multiple emails of someone new, but no progress. What they are good at is losing documents you mail them after going to the hospitals and requesting records not once but 3 times! then spending the money to mail them to the office just to be told it is lost again! I had sent in email, wasn't good enough. I signed medical release forms so why is it I have to take time off work, spend gas money and money to mail. My sons case was never moved up to actually be of anything, wasted time when we could have found a different law firm who actually would follow through, get documents they need to ensure which documents were and were not needed, why leave it up to the sole provider and parent of the injured client, then expecting my son to magically make appointments in their time frame to be seen by doctors, that is NOT how it works. Insurance only allows certain doctors in network and referrals, and in Texas it takes months to be seen and follow up. I do not recommend. My sons case ended with a rude email sent to be in a late email last night dismissing my son as a client. A client who has scars remaining on his body still and let a company walk freely with no accountability, thanks. I do not recommend, find a law office who dedicates their time to fulfill what they say and promise to do, I don't get paid for missing work and doing the work of your paralegals. read more

I can tell you honestly that the Barber Law Firm is one of the best that I've experienced. Everyone is helpful, informative, and treats me like family. I don't think that anyone ever expects to need to hire an attorney, but if that time comes, it can be a scary and confusing process. Because the Barber Law Firm is so professional, knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly, it makes the decision to hire them very easy. They take away the stress of deeling with the adjusters, so that all a client needs to do is concentrate on the medical recovery. So given the state of my prior review, you can imagine how surprised and pleased I am to be updating this review. After seeing my review online, Mr Barber's social media manager reached out to me to talk about the case. She completely understood the communication problems I had been having with the previous attorney (Matt Herzog, who I still hold is absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful), and asked if I would speak to Mr. Barber himself, the founding partner of the firmer. I said I wanted nothing to do with Matt or his nasty assistant Michelle, and they made sure that that was the case. It was a different world from then on. Mr Barber brought us into the office for an in person meeting, something Matt had never bothered to do. He was very personable, he apologized profusely for the bad service we had received with Matt, and assured us that that was not the standard by which he intends to conduct his firm. He took time to listen to our concerns, to discuss settlement options, and never questioned the veracity of my claims (unlike Matt). He was an absolute and total professional. Kris Barber was a delight to work with. He sent us both emails updating on the progress throughout, we never had to chase him down to get any information on the case. He was respectful and inclusive- it was nice to be treat as an equal instead of talked down to. In the end, Mr Barber reduced his fees to give me an even larger settlement, as another apology for Matt's bad behavior. And the settlement ended up being almost exactly the same number Matt had thought ludicrous. The settlement was nearly double what I had been told was on the high end. I was exceptionally pleased with the outcome, and will highly recommend Kris Barber personally to anyone I know in a car accident. read more

When I was rear-ended in my car wreck, it was pretty scary, but at first I didn't think I was hurt. Then the next day, my back and neck hurt every time I moved or turned. The Barber Law Firm helped me find a doctor, and Matt & Teresa took care of everything. I didn't really have to do anything except go to my doctor appointments. This law firm has integrity, Chris is prob. one of the most pleasant people that I HAVE ever dealt with when it comes to legal types of issues. He knows how to handle difficult insurance companies I ended up getting into a accident which was not my fault. I ended up filing the claim through the other drivers insurance and come to find out that they are known as one of the most difficult to settle a claim with. THAT insurance company was uncooperative the entire process. But Chris stood tough with me through the whole settlement process, we almost had to fight it out in court but we somehow settled out of court. Besides this Chris is there to mentor when he feels that the case may not be necessary for his skill. I'm not upset that they didn't take my case. I just have to assume that they're not taking it. I'm upset by the very juvenile manner I was treated by Sonia, their new case coordinator. I told her my situation and she said she'd get with an attorney and call me back that day. When she called me back, she just stayed silent on the line and I finally hung up after saying hello about three times. I could tell it was Barber Law Firm by my caller ID. I called back and left a message and she refused to call back. All Sonia had to do is say no and I'd move on, no big deal. Now in the future I'll remember NOT to use Barber because of the unprofessional way I was treated. This is in response to Mr. Barber's comment. I'm not sure how someone staying silent on the line and refusing to return a call can possibly be construed as a "misunderstanding," but I was more satisfied with the office manager. This law firm is extremely knowledgeable and was upfront with a detailed explanation of what would happen and that remains true to this day. It's been a little less than a year and I am very close to getting my settlement. Every time I emailed them I got a response same day, whether there was an update or not. They are extremely professional and honest and don't just tell you what you need to hear, they tell you what's doable and what's really going to happen. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS FIRM FIR A PERSONAL INJURY CAR ACCIDENT CLAIM. YOU WILL GET BETTER RESULTS HANDLING THE CLAIM YOURSELF WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY. I was referred to this firm to help me with an auto accident I had wherein a guy with CDL license ran a red light and T-Boned me. From day 1 I received nothing but negativity from this firm's paralegals and case managers. My car was totaled and it took over a month to get a property damage settlement to get another car. And the entire time I'm trying to get help from the attorneys office, they are making excuses for the insurance company, told me at one point it wasn't their job to get my damages settled i need to work that out woth the insurance company myself. Once I finally get another car I wait a few months to contact the Barber firm about settling the personal injury aspect of my claim, I even stopped treatment early because the doctor the firm referred me to was NOT helping my injury in any way. I even felt worse at times after a treatment session, and was physically ill twice. I get communication that my settlement is WAY below policy limits, not even 1/3. So I'm out of a car and transportation for over a month, I'm sent to a quack that made me feel worse than when I actually went to visit him to begin with and now for all my trouble I can't even get enough money in my pocket to get a better car than the one I got with the property damage settlement. I would NEVER refer anyone to this firm ever. And what's worse, I have worked in insurance defense as well as personal injury as a paralegal myself for 15 years. Well what can I say, the Barber Law Firm is the best! When I was sideswiped by a car on 635 both my car and body were totaled. The other driver denied responsibility, even with the police report and countless witnesses saying he was at fault. I received a letter in the mail from his insurance company saying that I was being sued! Good thing at that time I had already contacted the Barber Law Firm. I didn't not like my experience with barber's law firm. My case lasted a year and during the whole year I had to call to pressure them, to get updates (even though they kept telling me the same thing that "they are working on it, and will contact me for updates") to see if they needed anymore information about my case . The case was fully on my side ! I had my car totaled and paid at a great price before I contacted them (by Brian loncar ) I got hurt had treatment for injuries and my daughter aswell and barber's did not fight enough to pay the hospitals they only fought to get enough for themselves. (I stop getting represented by Brian loncar because they realized the guy that crashed me was being represented by them too and since he contacted them first I had to look somewhere else) I did check out the reviews on barber's and since they were all positive I contacted them and I regret it... Barber Law Firm was referred by Chiropractor Health Center in Frisco for my car accident in October 2017. The chiropractor kept pressure me about getting a lawyer from their referral list for my accident case, said I needed more sessions and tests and provider's care. In the beginning I refused because heard stories about how chiropractors and law firms ripped off insurance company with client's billings. After couple months of sessions with Chiropractor Health Center, the chiropractor finally convinced me to talk to Barber Law Firm. I signed the contract paper thinking I would be in good hands as long as I don't get rip off by anyone and get what is mine then everything should be fine. Well, after contract signed, Barber Law Firm did not explain or updates about anything while waiting for the settlement nor a call from my lawyer. Only calls I've gotten were about my settlement amount and reductions medical bills that Barber Law Firm supposed negotiated with all the healthcare provider for me. Because I trusted the Barber Law Firm and Chiropractor Health Center to be on my side and should have the best interest in me so never question on them or look at any documents on my case. The Barber Law Firm contacted me and said the insurance company doesn't pay much that I would only receive $770. I did not question them, but not until they sent me the close statement to sign off. This was then I saw how my settlement money was distributed among providers and law firm's fee. Barber Law Firm and Chiropractor Health Center both received a huge chunk of my settlement money of more that five thousand each and plus other providers received more money than I was. My personal loss wages settlement of over $1,200 which Barber Law Firm never mention to me the insurance company had paid, was included in distribution medical bills. I was livid and called the firm to let them know what my thoughts were!!! They are bunch thieves, and I refused to sign the close statement until they make corrections and give me my personal loss wages settlement that is rightfully mine. I told Barber Law I could have gotten that settlement without going through them, and they are definitely not on my side but helping all the healthcare providers to rip me off and steal from me. Went to the law firm after being in a head on accident in June of 2015 never got a call from an attorney an assistant handle my case. Any communication was started by me asking questions other wise there was no communication from this office. They filed against my pip insurance to up the amount of the claim then took 33% I paid them twice the amount then what I got!
