Went to the Folsom Barber Lounge for the first time and came away really impressed. Andrew did a great job on my hair--he took his time, and finished with a straight razor shave on the neck. The atmosphere in the shop is inviting and comfortable, just like a barber shop should be. This reminded me of my old neighborhood barber shop in Boston, and was my best haircut experience since we moved here about a year ago. I'll certainly be back--every month. read more

Cannot give this place a high enough rating! Sunny was absolutely amazing, she was extremely talented and took great pride in her work. I have never before walked out of a barber shop with a haircut that i loved right away, other haircuts usually take a week or two before they look good. Andrew is great, love talking sports, chicks and life while getting an amazing haircut too. He's upgraded the shop now even offering free drinks while you wait and he has flatscreens with whatever sporting event is on. Best part is he takes online reservations so your wait time is always minimal (unlike most shops). read more

I am thankful that Kendra was there for me during my most important time of my life during October. Before Kendra, I was seeing a hair stylist for 14 years. On the month of my wedding, my hair stylist went for a foot surgery, and she couldn't style my hair. Not only I didn't have a hair stylist for my wedding, I was called for an interview, and my interview was for a promotion at a high level management position. I met with Kendra, and she ensured that I felt comfortable. She mentioned her resume before cutting my hair because she knew I was in a vulnerable position. After hearing her assurance, I let her cut my hair and trim my beard. From my observation, the beard and my sides had a great fade. In addition, she cut my hair based on my natural hair type. My hair type is curly / wavy. My wife liked it more than my previous hair stylist, and she commented on how clean my hair and beard looked. Also, my coworkers complimented my hair and beard, and mentioned it looked professional. My best man told me I looked like a model while playing golf during my bachelor party. Not only she has the skills to make this happen, she also has the personal skills. She has a good sense of humor and easy to converse with. If you are tensed or stressed, she will make sure you enjoy the moment. I have interacted with many individuals from my personal and professional experience, and I determined that she has the talent and understands how to make a client feel safe. There are not that many individuals with this combination. The barbershop is a positive atmosphere, and sometimes everyone are chatting and laughing. I highly recommend this place. read more

Started going here when my go-to switched shops. Joyce is super cool and friendly. Always super accommodating. Gives a great haircut. Good company. Sports on TV. She cuts my 2 year old's hair when he lets her. Reasonable prices (she should actually charge more). Straight razor around the neck and even waxes my ears from time to time for cheap as well. When you're a guy it can be hard to stay well groomed but a solid barber will keep you cleaned up. I'm a regular I'll go to Joyce for as long as I can. First regular barber I've continually returned to. Too hard to get a consistent cut at the chain shops. Actually last time I went to sport clips (Joyce was on vacation) it looked like a 2 year old cut my hair so I swung by the barber lounge figuring whoever was there would fix me up. Totally right. The girl who was there fixed my hack job. Do it right or do it twice. read more
