This place is by far the best place in Naples to get a haircut. It provides all the traditional fixings and aspects of a haircut that seem to be lost at nearly every other barber shop. Everything from the very easy sign in/ walk in appointment set-up, the antique barber chairs, the straight blade edge, to the hot towel and the list goes on. I have had multiple barbers from there and they are all exceptional. I also get a lot of compliments on my haircut. Joe does an extremely good fade. I've learned how to properly comb, part and style my hair thanks to this place (lol). I have been going to The Barber Parlor for about five years. I find it to be an outstanding barber shop. It is NOT a fancy salon with wine and sofas. And I am glad it is not. Dave does a fantastic job customizing my haircut each time I visit. And, on occasion, when Dave is busy, Kevin, the owner, has cut my hair and has done a great job too. The place was border-line busy, but most had a preferred barber they were waiting on. The barber that saw me was very professional. I gave minimum instruction as I dont worry about m hair much. Just needed a trim for work. After going to other places and getting terrible cuts, this guy was not only done fast, but went above and beyond ALL the other places I've been!! My fiancée and I thought the cost would be more as the place was very nice and the barbers very well dressed, proper and mannerly. Only regret was not tipping more. After living here 10 years, I finally found my spot for a great (and quick) cut! My barber is Kevin and he does an amazing job. Great haircuts and the barbers are always friendly. $25 for a haircut too which is more than reasonable since they actually take their time and do it right. Great service and modest prices with skilled barbers. My 6 year old son and I have been customers for over a year at the Parlor. My son has had his haircut by three different barbers over time and all have done a phenomenal job with him. Jimmy cuts my hair and has never once done a bad job, it is always on point, even with what little information I give for what I want. The barbers are all very friendly, quick, and do great work. It is always a comfortable visit when we are here. I would not hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone in need of a quality barber. Great modern cuts in a traditional men's barber parlor. I go to the brothers, Klay and Kahner, whomever is available first. Just moved down to Naples from Denver.....chose this place for it's availability of barbers,etc. There are 6-7 barbers there most of the time...so it's easy to pick your barber by looking at the way the barbers hair looks...if your name is called by a barber that doesn't look as though he has your style in mind...pretend your awaiting an urgent call and ask him to go on down the lines of names..and you'll take the next one and hope that the barber you chose because of his good looking and stylish cut comes open....There is always a packed crowd there...waiting for a cut ( $ $20....).....and though I've been there 3 times now.....I will be returning in 30 days. I knew they closed at 6:00, so before I left I checked in on their waiting list (still open with one waiting) and added my son who was now 2nd on the list. We left home immediately and arrived at 5:48. However, they told me they were done for the day and they close @ 6:00.... my response, "even though we are on the waiting list?". I arrived at 12:40PM to see if I could purchase a gift card and was treated the same (I checked the sign outside for the correct time, I checked my watch, I knocked and waved, they acknowledged me, but nothing). This place has no sense of pride in their loyalty to customers. My son and I were down visiting for Christmas today and had our hearts set on a haircut. We deliberately checked and the barber was open until 1pm on 12/24; We showed up at 12:30 exactly and the store had 2 people seated. The front door was locked, I knocked and the barbers just waved and refused us service. Needless to say, the supercuts down the road got my $40 and has earned our business going forward. We've been coming to Naples for 12 years, but am finished with this place. Run, don't walk away from these guys. read more
