Another side of the store features clothing, while a separate section has small appliances. Quality varies, from almost new to fairly worn. Priced accordingly. Perfect place for a new college graduate to set up household without spending a ton of money, or folks who don't need to spend a lot of money in a sofa that will likely become the cat's scratching post when they bring it home. I expected to find a shop-owner, not a friend, when I began frequenting K-n-K. I found out that she drove her help to work when they were without a car. I like Laurie's story, which is going from banking/corporate to follow her dream of owning a thrift store (c'mon, haven't u always wanted to open your own shop?). And now her dream-come-true is literally bursting at the seams with deals and quality items (consignments must make it past her scrupulous eyes first). Some of the things she offers are Back to school needs, FRESH bedding, and Holiday must-haves. I could spend a gift card here in seconds, and next week too, as changeover is constant. I think it's run by volunteers from the church next door - which means that you're guaranteed to have a conversation with a sweet old lady during your shopping experience. I brought in my first bag, which they dumped onto the floor and shuffled through each piece of clothing one by one, commenting "Ew!!" and "we can't sell that" as they shoved the pieces of clothing back into my arms (which they proceeded to do with about half the bag) while other patrons passed and watched.
